This places has been slow lately so I’ll add a report from last week

On Thursday night at 10:30 I went to Bora Bora for the first time. I have to admit it was very nice and laid back. As soon as you enter, on your left side is where the girls seat. There were about 10 girls there that night some thin and some chubby but all were attractive looking. The gals are all dressed in light blue uniforms with mini-skirts. If you don’t like the girls at La Conga then go to Bora Bora.

A beer will cost you about $2.50 and drinks for the girls are around $4.00. There are no rooms so you have to pay the bar $50 to take a girl back to your place or you can do what I did, just wait till closing and offer to give the gal a ride home.

While there I got to spend time with Adrian (sp?), an attractive brunette who speaks English. She actually lived in Tucson, Arizona for a couple of years. She has no children and lives alone, so taking her back to her place is no problem. But I have to tell you that there are a lot of other attractive girls there too.

There's a place with a "casino" sign straight away from the border, a block east, behind the west side of the main drag out of the border gates. I guess that means if you walk west from Rios you should see the sign a bit to the north. Sheesh, I must always be drunk when I'm there! Would you mind collecting on the De La Hoya fight for me?

I know this is off topic (and apologies to moderators if not appropriate), but does anyone know if there are any sportsbetting joints in nogales? i've heard rumors that there is. if so, and if they are legit, that sure beats the hell out of arranging a trip to vegas.

La Conga is a 1.4 mile walk from the turnstiles to the stairs. I almost always walk it so that I can get a Cuban cigar or two at Mickeys and an Horchata to drink at one of the refreshment stands. (For us older folk, a stop at the pharmacy is also convienent.)

If you want to avoid an argument in the taxi, be sure to agree to the $5 fare before you enter the car. Be confident that if the first driver tries to sucker you into a higher fare that there are 2 other drivers sitting right there that will be happy to take you for $5.

The Conga is somewhat like a blue-collar bar in the US, so you don't need to wear nice clothes; informal clothing should be just fine. Also, if you look decent, the ladies would certainly assume you to be a high roller. Whenever I go to Mexico, I try to be as unassuming as possible. That way I have better bargaining power with the girls. Also, if you look wealthy, the cops might stop you and ask for a little money. Unlike the strip joints near the border, the Conga is a full-blown brothel that has a bar, a jukebox, and a small dance floor. They have rooms in the back where you take the girls to have some fun. As I'm sure you already have, take your time and study back a few weeks in the Nogales forum--you'll find most of your questions will be answered.

In a nutshell: all you need to cross the border for a short visit (less than 72 hrs) is your drivers license.

Be wary of the pimps/touts that hover all around you. Tell them 'no thanks' firmly and move on if you're not interested. Some of them are honest, though, and will find you a girl for a negotiated fee. Also, NEVER dress up, ALWAYS dress down. Say, jeans and a sports shirt.

Most all the strip bars/brothels are clustered within half-a-mile of the border. This includes Placers, Rio, Cherry's, etc. These are 'American' style strip clubs where most of the girls will have sex in private booths. You'll usually see mostly 6 and 7's and maybe an occasional 8 or 9 in these clubs. Be careful: best to negotiate everything before you go for a private or you'll get the 'that will be $20 dollars extra' routine.

La Conga is the most straight-forward brothel. As such, it has a very drab exterior and interior. It could pass for an ugly bar, say, in the bad part of your town. It is about three to four miles from the border, a five dollar taxi ride. It's always hit-or-miss; the girls come and go as they please. Personally I've never seen better than a seven there, and mostly seen girls in the 4 to 5 range. But, yes, they're friendly--they want your money!

Nogales can be a fun time. Relax, take your time, have a few beers, and the right girl will eventually come along.

What is dress code/style/reqs/suggestions for places like this? Should I be wearing nice duds, or just some jeans or shorts and sandals?

If I look decent will the ladies assume I am a high roller?

I La COnga a disco, or just a dance joint?

Where are some places in Nogales where I can meet girls on a disco floor or thereabouts?

I went to La conga for the first time around 9pm a few days ago.
There are about 7 girls. None of them are attractive. some women looks like do drug. some women are old,
but I found myda(?), 20 years old. bought her drink($7 expensive)
went to one of those closet. bbbj and cfs($65 half hour + $1 toilet paper). There are about 4 to 5 closets with futon. The futon in our closet was so uncomfortable. It was difficult to do cfs.
But I got laid.

Total paid: $73

By the way, I read about paula who has affectionate smile with cute face in the past reports.
But I couldn't find her. Is she blond? Does anyone see paula recently at La conga?

... And that leaves the other half the time. Esmeralda, Alejandra, Marabil, and Ebilia would all rate 6 to 8 in anyone's book. The closets off the dance floor are 3 to 5 times larger and all have 6' 6" cots for real sex rather than a gymnastic event. Regulars know where the 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds are located. It helps to know which days each girl works and what hours they arrive but that would best be called "flexible".

As long as the clientele continues to patronize the "chair-in-a-closet" business plan there will be no incentive to change.

Ps. There are full size bedrooms with king sized beds available at 3 places downtown. Well, one of them is really only a futon. The service is available. But now you are probably going to complain about the price. Hell, if it's price you want, you have to drive right past Los Algodones on your way to TJ. $40 plus $10 for the hotel for an hour. My point is Nogales is what you make it. Comparing Nogie to TJ is like comparing TJ to Pattaya. You decide what you want and what is "fair value". The grass is always greener on the other side. Hell, even in Pattaya you can hear people longing for the old days or for Cambodia.

It's the local government. It's out of the question in the border area bars for a brothel. Too obvious. The bars do very well indeed, and the girls and bar owners have little incentive to take a chance on a new place near la Conga, that may be too high profile for even that area.

I wish there was more activity here too--Nogales is a closer drive for me than Tijuana. But, it so pales in comparison to the selection and convenience that TJ offers that I tolerate the longer drive. If you just want to drink and play kissy face with the girls, then Nogales is okay; but if you want full service it is just sooo inconvenient. I refuse to do it in the closets anymore. And half the time the girls at La Conga are atrocious. Why can't some Mexican with imagination strike a deal with one of those hotels near to Cherry's or Lipstick's that would allow the club girls to utilize their rooms like Adelitas and Chicago in TJ? If they did I have a feeling that the Nogales scene would be second only to that of Tijuana.

Hey, what happened to the Nogie board? It used to be one of the best. Now, we've had 5 (count them, FIVE, on ONE hand) posts this month, what the fuck is up with that. Whatever happened to Mr Bill, and all the other regulars? I've been going for years, but just found this forum about a month ago. Costa Rica is better, but does require a plane ride. Nogie can be done with a tank of gas, about 5 hours driving time (RT) plus as much time as you want to spend there. (From Phoenix)

I agree that Alex is a nice guy with very good English. If you ask for just an hour he will probably take you out to La Conga. The taxi will be the $5 ride (instead of the $10 they will charge if you do not set the price first) and the lady will probably be $100 for the hour (instead of the $65 X 2 fixed gringo price at the club). If you are not comfortable being the only gringo and being with a girl that only speaks a "foreign" language then going with Alex will take some of the apprehension out of it. I had already been to La Congo before calling Alex about six months ago, but it was still interesting to watch how he and the girls interact. As a side note, the language should not really be a problem. She knows why you are there and hopefully so do you. The price is $65 for 30 minutes ($15 for the club and $50 for the lady). The "ficha" drinks are $7 ($4 for the club and $3 for the lady).

If you are looking for more than an hour, Alex needs advance warning. He does not have a stable with ladies awaiting his beck and call. He just knows a lot of people.

If you are going down this weekend he may have some good deals with an anxious lady or two. The rent is due Monday.
