I just got back from spending the 4th of July in Nogi. I actually saw some fireworks in Mexico. I went to every TD club I could find. To boil it down from my memory, unless you are into middle-aged Asian women and want to depart minus 100-150, you should travel the extra 500 feet across the border into Mexico...

As to the safety factor when crossing the border to the Lipstick's, Fernie's, Lord Black's, Placer's area, I would say that it is pretty safe. If you are totally paranoid then just take a $5 cab ride over there. If not, just walk toward the cab stand, take a left and go up about a block or so and take the first crosswalk left toward the railroad tracks completely across the U.S. entrance traffic lanes coming to the border. Then walk back toward the U.S. border to the last right hand gap after the buildings and you will see them over about 50 feet in front of you. Lord Blacks and Placers will be to the right, and Lipsticks and Ferni's will be one block straight ahead and then to the right.

To orient yourself propertly, if this is your first time, I would go during the daytime so that you can see everything plainly. Only Cherry's will be open after about 2pm, but at least you will know the lay of the land (no pun intended). Good luck and good hunting, there are many fine young ladies there for your safe and unharrassed entertainment...
