Went to Puerto Vallarta in early August. Went by myself and my first time there. Stayed at the Westin in Marina Vallarta, but wouldn't stay there again. Nice resort, but not much going on in Marina Vallarta. I would stay in the Zona Romantica area next time I go. Marina Vallarta is more convenient for ladies to come up to your room though. Closer and easier for most of them to get to than Zona Romantica. Didn't go to any strip clubs, so can't comment on those. Exchange rates vary a lot. About 15.3 pesos to $1 US at the airport in Houston and 17.2 pesos to $1 US at the cambio in Marina Vallarta. Next time I will exchange before I go. My bank gives 17.3 pesos to $1 US. Credit card rates are about 18 pesos to $1 US, so can be worth it to use your credit card.

I did go to one massage parlor in Marina Vallarta. Was walking around the marina in the morning drinking my coffee and kept getting asked if I wanted a message. Said no many times, but finally gave in and got the message. Wasn't looking for a he and didn't really know if the place gave the he or not. Really seems like a great city to visit and people seem friendly. Taxi drivers are great for pointing out brothels and strip clubs to visit while taking me back and forth from Marina Vallarta and Zona Romantica.

Thanks for your question. Based on personal experience, I'd rent out a room at one of these love hotels closer to the airport:

-Blu.

-Pedregal.

-Gran Sol.

The rooms are good, clean and some have been renovated recently.

They charge between 350-400 pesos for up to 8 hours of occupancy. Then you can have guests during that time. The on-line girls are more comfortable that way, as they don't have to deal with testy receptionists at other hotels or security at some of the all-inclusive.

Shop around for the girls too. Also try to get around the agencies and look for some independents on CL or Mileroticos. It's low season, so there are deals to be had, however it's not that cheaper, because let's face it, PV is a tourist destination. And don't play cheap with the girls, that might not help you. Depending on what you're after, on-line girls will be asking between 1500-2000, and some upscale will ask 2500-3000, with or without taxi fare included. Make sure to go over that with the girls, so there's no hidden fees. Tip is at your discretion. Some girls also proposed CBJ services only for 900.

I've been here a month and have a pretty good handle on the scene. PV is a great place to live and if you are coming here for work or vacation you can find some action but it's certainly not a monger destination. Almost any city in the US has better action for the same or lower price and that is not saying much. .

I spent the last six months in Medellin which is a destination and I've lived in Thailand for 2 years.

Street Girls:

Forget about street girls altogether unless you are into older large women. There are a couple of bars by the stadium One on Calle Colombia, one on Calle Guatamala. But I'd not waste my time. I did find a blonde with a pretty face that spoke good English, standard price is $500 for the girl, $150 for the room. There are some street girls around and some horrible trans girls.

There are a bunch of happy ending massage places, most are easy to tell, if you see girls out front trying to get people to come in, they are not legit. Others are hit or miss. Most work out the details before the massage, I've only had one place where a girl asked just after the flip, but I'm not giving that one out as I don't think the boss knows.

No matter what anyone tells you never go to one of the gringo places: Aquah or Harem. The only club worth a visit in my not so humble opinion is in Zona Rosa, Tapanko. Drinks are reasonable, lady drinks come in two prices, the more expensive one is $350 but you can sit with your girl off in a corner and if she likes you lots of mutual touching is on the menu and she'll stick around for a good while. $75 for 30 minutes of private time. There were some very hot, friendly chicas there and a couple with very good English. I've been to most of the non-gringo clubs and this place is the least pushy and has the most reasonable prices. Have not been to 4 Play, need to check it out. Like any club, keep track of what you order and know what things cost before you say yes. The gringo places with bleed you dry best to very go there. If a cabbie tells you that Zona Rosa is dangerous, ignore him. Even if you have little Spanish, you'll be fine. The cabbies all get kickbacks from the gingo clubs.

Online Girls:

As far as where to look, it's already in other posts. I think this is probably the best value. Jaki, charges $1500 for the first hour and has great English, I've only emailed with her so far but will check her out at some point. Figuring out which girls are independent is the trick.

I really like happy ending massages so I will do that on occasion though I'll likely find some regular online girls while I'm finding some girls to date.
