Have arrived in PVR. Was out till 4am with the "sand" I brought from home hitting the maelcon clubs last night. Had multiple hoochies hit on me and had to pass (yes blackhawk 69 u were right )

The Dunas is a Motel, not a Hotel. You get a Lujo Room for 320 Pesos, a Junior Suite with a very small Jacuzzi for around 410 Pesos, a Master Suite with a very big Jacuzzi for 520 Pesos and a few more bigger Rooms. My favorite is the 520 Peso Master Suite. The Roomtime is 8 hours. I also recommend Motel Gran Sol. It is located infront of Motel Dunas and across the Airport. You can see it on the main road when you pass the Airport.

agree with both reports. If I may add, Dunas is in a back alley as opposed to Gran sol which is on the main HWY. I generally found myself waiting for chicas to arrive and meet me outside, and in those situations, I find Dunas to be a better option.

Note that the gal that answers the buzzer is not very sharp. Half the time, she gives me the wrong room. Ask for jaccuzzi, she gives me no jaccuzzi. Say, no jaccuzzi, I get one.

A few guys here have made positive comments about using the Hotel Dunas as a short-time place to party with the ladies when they don't want to (or aren't allowed to) take them back to their regular hotel room. For reference, the Hotel Dunas is located across the main highway from the airport, behind the big aviation fuel storage tanks. The street entrance is just to the north of the tanks.

EDIT: Just to clarify (after reading The Sex Hunter's more detailed post above) - Dunas is not the place where you will live during your entire vacation. It is just a place you will "rent" for a few hours while entertaining the ladies.

After 20 years visiting with SO, I will be in PV 4/9-4/12 and Mazatlan 4/12-4/16 for some solo fun(without SO). I slipped away and saw Jaki for a fun hour last fall. Been to a few of the high priced tourist (clip) strip joints and never been to the zona. I have a few questions. Is the sex tour(includes zona, street walker area and local ladies bars) advertised on craigslist worthwhile? What Hotels give you the least problem with bringing in a local girl? Are any of the six girls advertising on craigslist with a 12 hour stay better than the others? Not interested in 12 hours but 3 or 4 hours would be great. Finally anyone would like to meet up for a beer let me know. All these questions are regarding Puerto Vallarta.

I agree with Don Tonto. Not every day you get an offer from a guy like Exthalmus. I would take him up on it. But for other first time visitors, I would seriously think that the tour offer on CR is very reasonable. Heck, I might even do it the next time I am there. $50 is nothing. See my posts. I spent $300 to pay off the cops who pulled me over at 2 AM.

It sounds like you're in luck with Exthalmus' generous offer.

To New visitors to Puerto Vallarta:
I have seen the Puerto Vallarta Red Zone Tour advertisements ( http://pvredzonetours.isgreat.org/ ). I have not been on that tour, nor do I know the guy who runs the business. That being said, the price sounds like a decent deal if you consider what a taxi would otherwise cost you to get to several places around town. Not to mention any hassles in communicating with some taxi drivers to get you to the places you really want to go; rather than the expensive, high-end tourist clubs where the taxi driver wants to take you (so he can collect a big commission). Of course, you get the tour guide's experience and translation skills, to boot.

From the tour guy's website, he tells you where he is taking you and he seems honest in not setting false expectations on the girls you will most likely encounter (...although the website title photo is definitely not Puerto Vallarta, and more probably the street girls of Tijuana. )

Anyway, that's my opinion. Maybe a first-time Puerto Valarta visitor will go on the tour and report back with his findings.
