Its my first time visiting this coastal resort city and I have to say I really like it. I normally spend all my beach and sun visits to Mexico in Q. Roo, the Caribbean side of the country. I decided to rent an airbnb on the hillside of the 5 de Deciembre barrio. It's within walking distance of centro and the malecon. But you have to navigate some steep hills and if you do you are rewarded with some great views of the bay and better sea breezes. If you do stay in those hills just take your time and rest in between blocks. Anytime I had something to carry, like groceries I used a taxi to get up there. Buses are 10 pesos and will take you along the main coastal avenue. I arrived Saturday but spent it exploring my barrio and the malecon. My airbnb is pretty close to the red light district so I did get some info for those of you more adventurous at heart. I found 3 places and two are the brothel bar type and the third a saloon type bar with chicas to drink, dance entertain you like the days of old.

There is one door to enter the bar and another next door for the chicas and rooms. I talked to several of the chicas. Perhaps late 20's, early 30's of age. Ok to look at but this is so not my scene, jaja. They stated cost of chicas is 800 pesos for half an hour and 100 for the room. So 900 to get your rock on.

Same setup, two doors one goes upstairs to a bar and the other is for rooms with the chicas.

500 pesos for half an hour and 100 for the room. I did not get any look at them but instead talked to the guy out front. If you see a building next door with a lot of satellite dishes on the roof you are at the right place.

Here is a lively place with local music, dancing and chicas waiting to join your table to entertain you. Chicas I use the term loosely, they are really Tias. The ladies are independent and anything you arrange is with them solely. Its like a pickup bar for us but with a serious local flavor.

Walking between the various bars above and the streets between you will come across street walkers. Easily noted because they will initiate conversion and be alone or in pairs. Not my cup of tea. Really to me this kind of mongering is for the adventurous at heart with some Spanish skills.

It appears that things are changing in PV, it is not clear if the phrase sex workers applies to street walkers or massage parlors. This is the area north of the Romantic Zone and south of Marina and Hotel zone. I have a trip planned this winter. Boots on the ground reports will be useful. If they pick a spot to relocate them that information will be useful.

I walked Guatemala on Saturday, just a quick fly by as I didn't have time to chat or play. It was early about 8 pm but here was 5-6 girls working in the area 1 of which looked pretty good.

I updated the map. Apparently I got the location of the new Sahara club wrong. The facebook page for Sahara is a recycled copy of the Enigma page, which was previously Bandidas and Chicas and El y Ella before that. I assume the owners of Enigma sold or closed the club that was located beside Mamitas and then opened the Sahara club in a different location. I don't know if Enigma has reopened under another name. If Sahara is in la zona roja, it must have taken the spot where El Patron (previously Alazanas) used to be.

Quick question about King George Pub. Is this a strip club, restaurant / bar, bar with girls. I cannot pin down what it is from Google or Youtube. Does it offer food like a sports bar?

I do see it is next to the strip bar Aquah. From the outside it does not appear to be a night club.

I'm game if it is like a sports bar with decent food and chicas.

Been in there, it's like a sit down sports bar with chicas. They will come to you and you can buy a drink and chat with them a bit before agreeing to a price and taking them to a smash room upstairs. As someone noted it's right next door to Aqua, and a location the chicas come and start work there in the afternoon and then make their way over to Aqua for the night. Unless you specifically like the music and lights of a strip club, I rather take the chicas fresher and in more lighted surroundings and a chill atmosphere in the bar. Now the prices are all steep. I found a solid 8 that spoke great English and got her for 2500 pesos back when the conversion rate was like 15 or so. She was decent upstairs and we got about 45 minutes then. So enough. This was 2018 mind you. It's more good for a side pass to this or a happy massage parlor on a vacation than an actual mongering destination.

That place does look interesting. I did some searching and found some images of the food, looked like finger foods, Burgers, Tacos, Nachos, chicken wings kind of fare. I won't be down until January but doing some homework now, If you go please report back.

My experience in PV during my previous visit was limited to Massage Parlors where the therapists can provide a full range of erotic services legally. Since it is legal you can ask at the front what is available and they will either hand you a written sheet or someone will recite the menu and prices. There is no need to request a massage and wonder what might be available. You can get a price and meet your assigned lady beforehand. There have been a number of places discussed here pre-covid but it is hard to tell what is currently available. My previous favorite "no name massage" is reportedly closed. From my reading I put Vallarta Massage in the marina area on my bucket list. You will beat me down there so please report back. There are a couple of strip clubs with nearby hourly hotels but I've never read anything good about them. I will be doing my homework so if I get some leads I will pass them on. My last trip to Guadalajara a buddy and I took the day long bus trip to Tequila, Lots of information on how it is made and more importantly as much tasting as you want. Being a bus tour no concern for DUI and it was reasonably priced.

I just got back everything is open and normal. No Damage except for a few roads which the Taxi and Uber drivers know how to go around.

Question: I did the Milerocticos and Motel Blue thing as suggested here and did not like the Hotel check in process.

Can anyone suggest a good Hotel near good Down Town or Lovers Area (near mountain), or better yet something walking distance to a beach.

- Where you can get girls in easy with out having to check that Girl in at the front desk. I'm looking for more up scare with free breakfast, walking distance to beach, nice pool, name brand is a plus. Someone also suggest AirBNB, but rather do hotel.

Check in at Motel Blue was hard as no one spoke English at all, you walk up to a KIOSK and then they give you a room number, I did not understand so someone walked me up and I paid the $20 plus $3 tax which I think was fee for them walking me to the room and not understanding much Spanish (I do know some).

Is the way to go, just click the button to see all ads with the same Whatsapp number to make sure they are not a agency, AND most important try to pick them out the day before and chat with them in Whatsapp to make sure they are real, you can tell if the writing style changes, then it is a agency. Some on there are real nice. Do you research, good search ones you like to make sure names do not show up somewhere else as a scam or agency.

They do up charge you a lot of you pay in dollars so bring Pesos if you want to save on the conversion rate. I did not care so did Dollars, it was not that much more.

I am here and can confirm that everything is open again. This being said, they just got hit by flooding from a hurricane, so several neighborhoods are still without water, but it is being restored day by day.
