Heading there myself in November. Curious where to find some "action". If you learn anything please share and I will do the same.

I just got back everything is open and normal. No Damage except for a few roads which the Taxi and Uber drivers know how to go around.

Question: I did the Milerocticos and Motel Blue thing as suggested here and did not like the Hotel check in process.

Can anyone suggest a good Hotel near good Down Town or Lovers Area (near mountain), or better yet something walking distance to a beach.

Check in at Motel Blue was hard as no one spoke English at all, you walk up to a KIOSK and then they give you a room number, I did not understand so someone walked me up and I paid the $20 plus $3 tax which I think was fee for them walking me to the room and not understanding much Spanish (I do know some).

I am headed there in a few days.

There are a few spas in the marina area north of the cruise ship area, Vallarta Massage is 3 KM by google maps and has had good recent reviews here, you can search for it. You can also do a google map search for massage spas and get other leads. Just a FYI as I have written before the massage scene is much different in Mexico. Pay to play is not illegal as long as the only one profiting is the provider.
