I agree with John Dough. Platino's is turning out to be a decent act. The manager there is a young guy and speaks good english. I would not call it low end though. May be middle of the road. Aqua being top end, Xtravaganza being low end and Las Antroches at the bottom of the barrel.

The cover charge is for customers who arrive by taxi, so they can pay the driver for taking you there. If you don't go by taxi you won't be charged the cover. Some of the guys working at El Y Ella are honest, but I also encounted one who was a magician. I handed him a 200 peso note and it quickly changed into a 20 in his hand. I heard the sound of paper rubbing against paper when he did the switch. Most of the women there were average but I found one that was good enough for the expensive clubs. I also liked Platino the best. The male staff all spoke some English, were polite and didn't try any magic tricks. The women were reasonably attractive for a lower priced club and a few of them spoke a little English. The club is located just off the main drag in the southern part of the hotel zone near the Sheraton, at the intersection of Sierra Aconcagua and Rafael Osuna.

Thank you for posting about this magician asshole waiter at El Y ella (him and her). I have always liked this club. The trick at this club is to ask for the manager as soon as you hit the door. He is almost always there. Speaks a little bit of english. When he comes out, you say,"hola amigo. Remember me? I had great time last time. How are you doing? You have any recommendations for me today?" He will of course remember you (even if it is the first time) personally escort you to the best seat in the club or where ever you want and then ask him to assign you an honest waiter. Of course what you say is,"Is Albert here? If not, give me a another good waiter". All the waiters see you being friendly with the manager and no one is going to fuck with you and the chicas want to impress you too. This is my MO in all of PV clubs and works like a charm.

BTW, be cool about it and don't over do it and ruin it for me.

The last night in PV sitting down and posting about a few encounters. Just left El Y Ella (spelling?). What a FKing Ripoff from the tine you walk in the door. Wife and I walked in and the guy at the door said one cover of 100 pesos so I gave him 200 and he said change ok. Never got my change even after asking for it about ten times. Was told we could only order a bucket of six beers for 280 pesos. Ok whatever so ordered the beers. Watched a few dancers and negotiated for a nice looking gal with the same door guy. We agreed on 1100 pesos and headed up to the room. (However before we went up I gave him a 500 pesos bill and three 200 pesos bills I looked around for ten seconds and he said you only gave me a 500 and two 200 pesos. I said no I gave you 1100 so we looked around and somehow the extra 200 pesos bill was on the floor behind me-fking magican throwing bills behind my back. Got to the room and then he said we had to pay an extra 300 pesos for the room and my wife came unglued. It was awesome! I said just give us our money back, We walked down to the front entrance and I said give us our money back and get us a cab. They apologized and said the room was free and go have fun. We knew we were not getting our money back so we went up and they brought us our beer which was missing a beer-they just can't help themselves. At that point all the drama has you fking pissed and it wasn't really much fun. In short, don't go to this place it's a 1st class ripoff. There is a place next door didn't catch the name-has anybody had any experience there?

We recommend Platino's as we have met a lot of nice gals there and the management is a lot more professional and understands that repeat business is what makes a business survive especially in PV's economy.

Keep in mind that while I was paying 1200 pesos (around $90 USD) for my poon in PV, I was also paying only either $60 a night all in for a deluxe 4 star resort like the Westin, or $25 a night to be in a perfectly adequate small place in the Zona Romantica. And these chicas were 8s in looks, way above average flacas. So in that context, the overall cost of PV as an all-around vacation spot is still a damn good deal. I also liked the fact that a 5 hour fishing trip can easily be gotten for under $200. Granted, it's not Pattaya or the Phillipines, where $25 gets a good short time shag. But I'm getting older, so I can't do 3 shags a day anymore (unless I've gone without for several days here in sex prison) , and those 18-20 hour flights to Asia that also cost over $1000 get old really fast. So PV worked pretty well for me, considering that I was only going for one pop a day, and after repeating with a couple of them, they were also hanging and being social with me for that 1200 peso date. I went to the massage place on the left hand side beside the building that has AA meetings. That's a shame that I missed out. The 18-19 year old girl was very cute but spoke next to no English. She never came close to touching me where I wanted to be touched. So I didn't think they offered extras there. Next time I will see if one of the other girls speaks more English. I just found (and joined) this forum while trying to research for my PV / Yelapa trip in December.

After going to Club Agua last year, almost anything looks cheap! (Including the prices at home here in Victoria, BC.)

I'm only planning to spend 2 or 3 days in PV at each end of my trip though it's all pretty flexible. The downside is this doesn't leave a lot of time for checking out places and trying to find bargains!

The prices Member #2041 negotiated may not be the bargain of the year but compared to $200 / hr with lots of restrictions here at home, they look pretty good. Especially for a young exotic (to me) looking lady.

Anybody else have any recommendations for relatively bets for a pooner whose espanol is quite limited? Are there any semi-reliable agencies in PV?

FWIW I can offer a fair amount of knowledge on the scene here in Victoria as I'm active on a couple of forums in the area though I see I can't link them. (Am I even allowed to name them?)

I will probably be visiting in late Dec / early Jan for a couple of weeks. I have always had fun in PV. I usually find a condo to stay in Old Town.
