I'm about to wrap up an extended stay in Puerto Vallarta and want to share some of what I've learned and experienced about pay for play services in this wonderful city. It is low season right now; the temps and humidity keep many tourists away. The info below may not apply to busier times.

Strip clubs:

I've only ventured into one -- Paradise, on Blvd Francisco Medina Asencio -- the main north-south street along the beach. It is a couple kilometers north of the downtown area, maybe halfway from downtown to the airport. It is crazy expensive; dancers drinks are 395 pesos ($20 US approximately). Lap dances on the floor are a similar amount. Dancers told me the cost of a private dance, and it was so high I promptly forgot it. But the night I went there I saw many very beautiful dancers. If you've got so much cash you don't know how to spend it all, you could enjoy yourself here or in a similar club. But there are far better options.

Massage:

Massage must be one of PV's primary tourist-oriented businesses; there must be hundreds of massage places throughout the city. You can find two kinds: the everything-but type, and the everything type. You can tell the everything-but type by the white clothes the masseuses wear; it's almost like a uniform. The women who massage everything wear less-formal attire. You can also tell by the massage table. Everything-but places will have a folded sheet or towel on top of the massage table, to cover your body; the everything places have only the table. And the prices are amazing. Around tourist resorts you might pay 500-600 pesos for an hour-long massage ($25-30); in other areas the price can drop to 350 pesos ($18) for a 75-minute massage. And the quality of the massages in the everything-but places is very high. My favorite place for massages is the shopping center just south of the Office Depot across from the Paradise strip club; there are around a dozen massage businesses in that center. The ones towards the back are more likely to be places where you can get everything massaged. Unfortunately, the price jumps significantly if you want a happy ending -- and that's what the masseuse will say, as in "quieres un massage con happy ending? Instead of paying 350 pesos, you'll be asked to pay 1,000 pesos. But the masseuse will often accept less. But when faced with a choice of $18 for an amazing everything-but massage, or $40-50 for a happy ending massage, I often go with the cheaper option as the quality is so very good.

Most masseuses who do everything-but massages don't come within 2-6 inches of pubic hair, but I did have one masseuse who came right up to that area. I was writhing on the table, wanting so much to have her go just a bit farther. She politely declined when I asked, even though she had been brushing my balls with long strokes from feet to head. It might have been the most turned-on I've ever been, and the buzz stayed with me all day.

I've sampled one downtown massage place -- Best Massage, on the main north-south street, just a block or two from the Puerto Vallarta sculpture on the malecón. The masseuses are young and beautiful. The "relaxing massage" was 400 pesos; the masseuse offered a happy ending massage for 1500 pesos and full service for 2500 pesos. She wouldn't negotiate, and I went with the relaxing massage as the prices of the other services were ridiculous. It was a horrid massage. Don't expect a quality massage in an everything massage business.

La Antorchas:

This often-reviewed place is on Blvd Francisco Medina Asencio, just south of the marina, opposite the El Soriano grocery store. I stopped by twice; the first time I sat and conversed with the guy who runs it, who told me he had a beautiful woman working, but I never saw her, and after sitting by myself for 10-15 minutes after he got called off by his kid, I left. I came back a second day, and two women were sitting by the door. They wore lots of makeup and were quick to explain the prices: 1000 pesos ($50) for a massage and full service, plus 250 pesos for the room. So for about $65-70, you can do it all here. The women were less attractive than some of the masseuses, but for the price, I'd go here anytime. And think about the difference between Las Antorchas and all of the other options: $70 for full service here; $60 for a handjob at a massage parlor; perhaps hundreds for full service at a tourist strip club.

Went there this afternoon. Saw Jocelyn. Bit chubby for my style but massage and play was excellent. There were two other decent ones. One coming and one going. I came back at 6 PM and place was closed on a Monday though the girl said she will be there till 8 PM. Rest of the street was no good.

Hmm. I'm not sure. My only experience with PVR was many years ago on a typical cruise stop.

But my light research found notes suggesting from airport all the way out to the town of Sayulita (45 min away) was around 700 MX pesos. I calculate just under $37 bucks.

I'm staying in Zona Romantica, hotel advertises 20 min drive from airport. I also found reference that taxis to the zine I'm staying is around 300 MX pesos. I didn't check for any mentions of rates to other zones, like hotel zone, Marina, or Nuevo Vallarta.

I just posted on someone else's thread about airport transport. Last December, I used an Uber from the airport who spoke English very well. I negotiated with him for Sayulita, it was around $35 for the round trip. But hard to find Uber drivers there that speak English, but with basic Spanish, you can negotiate as well.
