Aqua is way over priced. While not a rip off its basically throwing money away.

On a 2nd trip to PV, I went to Harem...I negotiated a price of 2000 peso with the manager...Upon leaving the manager told me the total was 4000 peso. I told him he said 2000 peso originally, but he replied, no, its 4000. I obviously didn't want to try and argue with someone who looked more like a bouncer -- especially in Mexico, so I payed the 4000. He then asked me for a tip as well, so I gave him an extra 20 peso. He wasn't too happy about that and told me to get out so I left. Needless to say, this was also very disappointing and I won't return.

Harem is not only expensive but actively tries to completely rip off customers. While you might get bored and go see if there's a smokeshow at Aqua, you'll never want to ever enter Harem for any reason whatsoever.

On my last trip to PV, I had read about Tampico online (from another site) and asked a cabbie to take me there. He asked me if I had ever been there before and I said no. He told me it wasn't a safe place for a visitor because it has a lot of 'cartel' type people there...

While I haven't been to Tapanko is two years, I have been there several times over a few years. I never felt unsafe. As someone else pointed out, anywhere you go in Mexico there's a chance there's cartel there. Don't be rude and don't start any fights and you should be fine.

I also remember someone mentioning Andromeda to me earlier, so we went there next. Again, I got out of the cab to take a look. Immediately, two large guys started walking up to me. One was on a radio, and said something about "tourist just pulled up"...

Could have been getting ready to charge you out the nose for every little thing. Or they could have simply been trying to ready an English speaking waiter. Or they could have been basically empty and were telling everyone to get back to work because there was a customer. Hard to say. Its 50/50 in my opinion whether it was innocent or preparing to fleece.

As for stage shows, that's kind of hit and miss. If there's more than a couple of people in the crowd they'll do occasional stage dancing but generally speaking in my experience they avoid it unless there's more than a handful of customers. Ironically enough Tapanko is pretty steady with having girls on stage if I remember correctly.

Q#1: I live here and don't go to the MPs. Although there are a few FR's lately that say good things about a few of them.

Q#2: The name of the club you mention is Tapanko and it is located in the zona rosa, east of the old bull ring. The area is safe enough but anywhere in Mexico there is the possibility of cartel being around.

One (probably a 6) went up on stage and danced for a song. After her song, she came and sat next to me to begin negotiating. I wasn't too interested, and told her a few times, "no gracias". My Spanish is not good at all, and she didn't speak any English. While we were (trying to) talk, another girl went up on stage. I got up and threw a few 20 (peso) on the stage, and when the song finished, the 2nd girl came and sat down next to me. At that point, the 1st girl left. We finally ended up at Jagger. I took a quick look inside and thought this is more what I am looking for, so I let the cabbie go. There were about 4 or 5 girls here, also just sitting up near the entrance. No one was on stage. The doorman took me to a booth and asked me what I wanted. I got a crown & coke for 50 peso, which seemed reasonable to me, as I know they usually way overcharge for drinks. I then asked if anyone was going up on stage anytime soon, and he said he would go check. After he left, one of the girls (a really skinny 5) came and sat down next to me. So I repeated and this time got more some info. The place is called Bliss Massage. The address is Insurgentes #236 in the Romantic Zone. It's across the street from the Farmacia Guadalaja and the OXXO. If you walk up the street past coni spa (away from the beach) and hang a left at the corner and walk down 2 blocks you'll be there. The girl I sessioned with is named Sofia. She's hot. I'd say a solid 9, so I didn't try any of the other girls there, but a couple others looked nice as well. I think there were 4 total. Tried some other things other than massage places. Tried on-line Milerotico, Back Page and Craigs List. Most of the girls change the rate in the ad when contacted or are connected with an agency.

They would not come to my hotel and wanted to go to a motel of their choice. I did not feel comfortable with that. Also tried one of the strip clubs. Jagger in the hotel zone. 100 pesos to get in and 100 pesos for 5 small beers. Never saw the other four after the first one. Staff brought over a 9.
