After returning from a great trip to Costa Rica I just wasn't quite ready to return to the real world. I looked at flights to Costa Rica and the DR and 800 bucks was the cheapest I could get anywhere. I still had some more time off so with about 5 days to kill my favorite destination in Mexico came to mind, Tampico. I looked at some bus schedules and there was a 12:30 pm bus headed that way. It's about 7 hours but the buses are very comfortable and if you buy a child seat along with an adult seat you have both seats to yourself. Together they were under 50 dollars.

I left the house at 9:30 which was pushing it but the buses are always a few minutes late. Traffic sucked, parking was a ***** and by the time I had crossed the border and made it to immigration it was 12:25. I explained that I needed to catch a bus in 5 minutes and the immigration official rushed thru the paperwork and stamped my passport in a hurry. I grabbed a cab and made it to the bus station at 12:33. Well today was the first time ever but the 12:30 bus was gone. That sucked, the next one was at 2:20.

It was 10:10 pm when we finally arrived, I grabbed my backpack then got off and grabbed my suitcase, hailed a cab and at 10:30 I checked into my favorite room 419 at the Hotel Imperial. 19 dollars a night, no problems with chicas, and it's safe. Also 2 bathrooms and the windows are covered with large curtains so it is very easy to sleep on these.

Left at 11:30, had an event free trip other than getting pulled over twice by the Policia Federal. They just looked underneath the bus and we were on our way. As we pulled into the outskirts of Tampico I quickly remembered why I love this town so much. Everywhere you look there was an ass shaking. I hit the ground running right off the bus. Grabbed a cab to the Hotel Imperial which is a crappy hotel by the way but there are no rules. Kind of reminds me of the old Park Hotel in San Jose.

Went for a walk to see what had changed. My favorite Restaurant La Troya was closed so that was kind of a bummer. It had a balcony that overlooked the Plaza de La Libertad which was a great place to sit in the breeze, drink beer and stare at asses walking by the park. From here I headed east to see if my favorite casa de citas was still there. Same place, same door bell, same madam (who remembered me). Had 3 girls working. 2.6s and 1. 7. The 7 cold have easily been an 8 if she shed some pounds but Beavis needs to do that also so who am I to judge? 200 pesos for half an hour, she gave a great BBBJ and I finished off blowing it all over her tits. After this I went to the New York bar which is a Mexican working mans bar. Stayed there bullshitting and hanging out with soem pretty cool guys til about 1:00 am then went to one of the street vendors and got 3 tacos to take to my room.

There were 3 girls in front of the hotel so I pondered trying to hit number 4 but just decided to go to sleep instead. Today I will make up for it.

Things seem to me just like they were. Street are well lit, plenty of cops around and no problems whatsoever. I have 4 more days of this so this is just the preamble.
