How safe is the Centro district? If you wanted to walk around and check out the clubs is it safe? I do that in Monterrey and have never had a problem. I know the rules about getting loud, drunk and stupid and usually follow them. Any particular club there that is prefered?

Was in Tampico Sep 11-16 and had a few nights to look around. Best club was the Mirage (I think). All the girls are atleast 7.5 and a few 10s. I mean there are all beautiful women in there. Best club I have seen in a long time. Man have people not knowing what they are doing have messed it up. The girls all want to much for anything. At the club, for girl to go to hotel with you, usd $400 for 1 hour. In club, 1/2 hour f/s up-stairs is usd $300. Now 1 song bbj is $500 peso and 2 song is $1000 peso. You no finish, you pay more. The clubs are all located downtown near the Plaza de la Libertad. There are a ton of them. Although I haven't gone in them, I would assume they work the way all Mexican strip clubs do. Any taxi in the area should be able to help you. Most of the hotels in that area will be girl friendly as well as long as you register for two.

I have seen SWs around the Plaza, but not many. There are a couple of hotels to the east and west of the Plaza on the road closest to the pier, but the women I've seen there are not my type.

Visitors to Tampico who are fans of the Jet Set will be disappointed to hear it has closed. This was definitely the classiest and highest cost monger club in Tampico. A good alternative is a bar called P & B. It is located several blocks past the central square. Go there by taxi; they'll know where it is. My advise is to prearrange for the same taxi to come back and pick you up at a set time (give him $5; he'll be waiting for you). The P&B bar is clean and has basically a single stage with a dancer doing one or two songs, then heading to the back room. The tickets are 50 pesos each and are good for one song's worth of backroom activity. Beers are 20 pesos. Some rudimentary spanish will help you in here. The girls range from 5 to 8. This may improve with the closure of the Jet.

This report is from a year ago, sorry for the delay, I'm new to the Forum.

Bar Jet Set had lots of women, no idea on the actual number, seemed to be a pretty good mix of looks ranging from 6's to 10's. By the time we got to the third place (beer garden), there were only 5 or 6 of us left. We went inside & there were 7 or 8 available women. They were nice looking (7-8, mostly in their early 20's, but the one who latched onto me was early 30's). Most of the women here claimed to have regular jobs & just came to this bar for a good time, sex & "with luck, a little extra cash".
