I was around to see the final fate of the "Bar 28" in Queretaro, the place is working again, with a few changes, they extended or change operations to the house at the left of the main place, is like other reports, in the main nights (weekends and after paydays) they are a lot of girls (a top of 20 maybe, they are incoming as the night pass), 2 or 3 that are worth the visit.

The difference is that now they charge you with a 100 pesos cover ticket that you can change inside by 4 beers or two drinks (very expensive for my taste). At the left of the place are the change rooms and privates, in the main room are plastic tables and chairs, a very used pool table and some wood furnitures, for a change now they have some metallic tubes where from time in time the girls pose like they were dancing, but is not a scheduled role. Also a pit or low level with a screen projector, all walls and floors in rough cement with low light.

The way you describe it, it seems the place opened up again to operate exactly as before. You know, the "main place" you describe (the one with the big door with the letters "28") hasn't seen any action for years, at least two years or something like that, and the MEX 100.00 entrance fee has been in effect for at least a year or so, too.

As to drink prices being expensive: hm, not so sure about that. Sure, the four beers you get for your entrance ticket are of the small kind, but MEX 50.00 for a Cuba Libre is not bad for any place anywhere in Querétaro, table dance or not. Just to keep things in perspective: a couple of weeks ago, I got invited to watch the first leg of the Mexican Liguilla semifinals at "La Cantina de Los Remedios", a pretty nice, but still run-of-the-mill cantina on the Mexico City-end of Constituyentes, right next to Freetime, actually. No botanas, no cute waitresses, lousy service, tried to overcharge me and displayed a bad attitude when I called them on it, and needless to say, no table dances. Cost for a beer? MEX 34.00. My GF had a michelada (actually, a beer with clamato), which came to, yes, MEX 70.00. Almost seven bucks. So compared to that, 28's prices are definitely not bad, IMHO.

The operative word here is "claim": government agencies can "claim" pretty much anything here in Mexico to simply shut down a business, thereby pressuring them to come up with the necessary dough to keep operating. Seems like another case of a place who just didn't come up with enough cash, or not fast enough, or didn't bribe the right people. Do you remember the former Don Quintín in Centro, which was shut down for a few months every year and finally permanently, until it recently reemerged under the name "La Mulata"? Same story. Really doesn't matter whether they have an alcohol license or not as long as you follow this basic rule: don't be late paying the right people. Business as usual in this part of the woods

I chat with a young man that appears to be a frequent customer, he told me that some of the girls come from outside the city, even from "El corral de la chiva" a similar place in "Apaseo el Grande" a small town about 25 minutes from Queretaro, also I saw a good looking girl that come with the partner of this young man, he told me that the girl give him a good leisure time for 500 pesos so this is the average rate depending of the place and the girl.

This is not an elegant place, but is an alternative to more expensive and less friendly spots, where they try to squeeze the most of your money.

More likely some of us think that was an action to wipe out in some way the competition of the big place, that is known to have a close relationship with the local politics.

I'll try to update the current status of this places among others shortly.

There are a few options:

1) Strip clubs (Fiesta Charra, Punto G, Oops)
2) Casas de Citas (like la Yegua)
3) SWs (on Universidad)

1) Strip clubs

As I and others have mentioned, at these places, table dances and privados are available onsite, in some cases even CBJs (Punto G), but they don't have on-site facilities for FS. Some girls may do FS, some may not. Usually, the rates are pretty expensive for takeout service, sometimes with a takeout fee of some NMP 1000, plus fees between 1500 to 2000 pesos for the girl. Considering the cost, I have never done it, but you may try if money is no issue for you.

2) Casas de Citas

These are more traditional type brothels, such like la Yegua, though the ones that I know of are pretty small and just feature a few girls, nothing more. Some have a bar area, in some cases, you just walk into the living room of a private home where a few bored girls are hanging out. It's really pretty much wham-bam-thank-you-Mam, but at around NMP 500 or so, the price is about right.

Over the recent years, there haven't been a lot of reports here on these places, so I mention one that I like, called 28 (because it is located on 5 de febrero No. 28, in a pretty industrial area). By now, they have a NMP 100 entrance fee, which includes two Cuba libres. Prices are pretty reasonable. They usually have about 10 girls there in a huge, bar-like area, though I was never impressed enough with any of the chicks to actually go with a girl from there. As far as I know, the fee to do a girl onsite is NMP 500 (usually one pop). I have gone there more to check out the scene and for after-hours drinking and partying (they are easily open until 5 AM, and sometimes, I have been there until 8 in the morning). Again, the quality of girls is certainly not overwhelming: last month, I had to go twice to finally see one, ONE girl that, if she was in Rio, I would actually fuck for 10 dollars. I know, I know, I am spoilt

There are several casas de citas around town, I think the best way would be just to ask a cabbie. The one reported above is the only one I know well, though I have been to other ones, but that was a while ago, and I don't remember too many details any more.

3) SWs

As reported on this thread, SWs can be found at night along Av. Universidad, in the area of the Rio Ayutla bar. As far as I know, this is the cheapest way to get laid in Querétaro when on a quick swing through town, though the quality of some of the "girls" (if one could even call some of them that...) might be downright nasty, and the actual performance worse. Pricing around NMP 400 or so, including room.

Possible other option?

One additional option would be escorts, which are much harder to come by in Querétaro, since officially, they can not advertise, so it's entirely word of mouth and sort of semi-legal (which, of course, also makes it "semi-illegal"). In any case, while I know that they do exist, I have no actually contact info on them. Perhaps others on the board do (hint, hint)

Finally had a chance to get together with Dollar Bill, the other Querétaro mongering legend, and hit a spot in the community of Pedro Escobedo, a good 20 minutes on the highway from Querétaro in the direction of Mexico City, about half way between Querétaro and San Juan del Rio. So we went there last Saturday. Here's my report on it (since Dollar Bill, to use his own words, is way too busy to write about it).

When I saw the outside, I just had to smile as the memories came flashing back. As a matter of fact, I realized I had been to Bongo before, a long time ago. It must have been back in May or June of 2003, when two Mexicans I got to know one night partying decided to take me there in their drunken stupor. I was new to Querétaro at the time, I had no idea about the nightlife or how things worked in Mexico, but I was curious and went along. Ever since, I have wondered whether that place (whose name I couldn't recall for the life of me) was still around. Anyhow, I had found more local alternatives in Querétaro. But still, I was almost nostalgic about it. After all, it was the site of my first Mexican P4P experience.

But there we were, in front of Bongos. The joint didn't look bad: apparently, it had received a much needed facelift. Entrance was NMP 20.00 (and the pendejo door guy immediately asked for a tip, of course. Bad sign!). Well, the interior looked better than I remember from the past, though my memory is sketchy. Just your typical Mexican girlie bar in this part of the woods.

Prices for drinks were very reasonable (NMP 30.00 for beers, NMP 25.00 for soft drinks, don't remember other prices, but they seemed fully in line with what you pay in these bars). As to the infamous lady's drinks (creatively spelt as "Leidy's" drinks in Bongos), they followed the usual distinction between single and double ones: NMP 60.00 for singles, NMP for doubles. Not cheap, but actually a bit less than in other places in the area. Needless to say, to sit on the tables right next to the stage, you usually have to buy a bottle of brandy (Presidente) or rum. If not, these tables are not for you.

In terms of sexual services, two types were available: table dances and privados, both the length of one song. For the privados, you just take the girl to one of the booths in the corner diametrically opposite the entrance and behind the stage. Table dances are NMP 60.00, privados NMP 120.00. Again, perfectly in line with other places in the area. Keep in mind, though, that when you buy tickets from the boletero, you need to specify what you want: the yellow tickets are for table dances and cost NMP 60.00, the orange ones are for privados and cost NMP 120.00. This is different from other places I have been to in that you can not simply combine two NMP 60.00 tickets for a privado. So don't forget about that.

Now, on to the girls. My first reaction was very positive. By the time we got there (roughly 10:45 PM on a Saturday, so clearly a busy night), there were about 10 of them, including a few stunners (by Mexican standards, of course). Of all the girls, there was really only one certifiably fugly old hag, all the others were actually quite doable. In this respect, Bongo compared quite favorably with other places I have been to, which always only seemed to have three or four decent ones, with all the rest... well, I don't even want to get into that.

So we had a drink and checked out the girls. I am someone who doesn't like to be rushed, so I took my time, and no surprise, DollarBill was the first to pick a table dance, with a somewhat older brunette with a very nice body. Then, he followed her up with a smoking morena with drop-dead legs, who we both had admired on stage. Clearly the sexiest girl in the joint. Her performance at the privado, according to Dollar Bill, however, sucked big time and would not rate higher than a 2, maybe. Goes to show again that the prettiest girls usually are the worst performers, IMHO, of course.

I had bought three privado tickets, so after half an hour or so, I was ready to go. The first one I picked was Azul, a very sexy dancer on stage who fully lived up to that impression in the privado area. Sucking her tits and playing with her pussy was no problem whatsoever. Some kissing involved, too. Recommended.

The second girl I picked was Maris or Marisa or something like that. Very slim, smoking hot body. Good in the privado, but not as good as Azul. Sucking nipples OK, but no playing with her pussy. But still, not bad (for a bit over USD 10.00).

Don't remember the last girl's name, because I actually picked her by accident. The joint was so dark and so crowded late on that Saturday evening that at times, it was difficult to get a hold of a special girl or see very well in the obscurity. Wanted to get my hands on some huge silicon-enhanced tits I had seen earlier that night, but apparently, I picked a girl who looked very similar, but wasn't the one I wanted. So here's my overall assessment of Bongo's:

Pros:

- NMP 20.00 entrance fee, no minimum consumption, cheap prices for drinks.
- Good to very good selection of girls, almost entirely devoid of skanks.
- Good privados from the right girls.

Cons:

- Too far from the city of Queretaro to cab it, and even if you were so inclined, the cost of a cab would make it more expensive than joints in Querétaro proper (Fiesta Charra, Punto G). So you definitely need a car to get there; otherwise, forget it.
- Performance during the privados was sort of hit-and-miss. In that respect, I would say that I have gotten more consistently good performances in Punto G.

So to sum things up, if you are in the area and have a car, you might want to check it out just for a different flavor. If you stay in Querétaro without a car, the usual options in the city offer pretty much the same at roughly the same price (Fiesta Charra) or only a slightly higher one (Punto G).

It's 3:20 in the morning here, and I am just coming back from an entertaining couple of hours or so at Punto G, my usual hangout. Hadn't been there in a few months, so I decided, what the heck, let's check it out again and see what the latest selection of girls is like. So here we go:

Got there at around 12:30, and the joint was relatively full for a Thursday night. Not chock full like on a Friday night, but still fuller than I remember during the week, usually. But then again, once you spend a bit of time there and your eyes sufficiently adjust to the semi-darkness, I generally manage to find two or three good ones, and with a bit of patience, as explained in further detail below, I managed to try them out in the privado area.

Yulisa: damn, this girl has some curves to rival the Monte Carlo F1 racing course, including in the silicon-enhanced chest area. Very exotic face: as a matter of fact, she told me she was from Honduras. I am not sure whether she was BSing me or not, but hey... unless I hear anything to the contrary, long live Honduras! To his credit, he came by later to apologize, and when I bought another set of tickets, he responded immediately, and the girl was at my table in no time. Why do I always have to play ugly gringo first to get decent service? And I am such a nice guy.

So should anything like that happen to you, talk to Fernando, the older, grey-haired waiter. Tell him "El Austriaco" sent you, and he will take care of you. Treat him nice, tip him well, and everything will be OK.

I stayed until the end, which is always an interesting time to be there (they close at 3:00 AM). Of course, there's always bound to be a group of somewhat inebriated Mexicans who can never figure out the check and who has to pay what and what not and go on and on and on about it. And then, there's always bound to be a few pendejos that are fucking drunk out of their mind, literally to be point of stumbling and falling all over the place. The guy sitting in front of me was so smashed that once his chair tumbled over, he put it up sideways and sat on it for half an hour without noticing it. ROTFLMAO.

Gotta love the local flavor.

And one more thing: picked up a cab right in front of Punto G to take me home, which is certainly no more than 5 minutes by car, 10 maximum if you stop for tacos. I don't know, but somehow, I got a hunch about this cab driver, and just to be on the safe side, I ask "How much?" Without blinking, he tells me "50 Pesos". I complain "Well, yeah, that´s the visiting stupid gringo price, but the resident gringo rate is 30 to 35, right?" He says, "No, it's 50". We go back and forth until I finally said, "Well, the walking rate is 0, so I guess I am getting off here at Tecnológico". Walked two blocks, hailed another cabbie, who charged me 25...

Did I already tell you I just don't like taking BS?

And don't drink OJ in Punto G: 40 pesos. You're better off with soft drinks (refrescos) at 20 Pesos. Or beer, of course, at 30. Anyhow. It was a healthy evening for me. But I wonder, whatever happened to the two Cuban sisters that loved getting their pussies eaten in the privados? This selection of girls seemed to be less accommodating in that area.

I've only been there once, years ago, and when I was there, it was late, it was dark, and I was drunk. What I do remember, however, I didn't like especially.
