Dawg, glad you had a good time. The zona is a very unique place.

I have only a brief comment. You are overspending, and I think you need to review what we mean by GFE.

YOU didn't "negotiate" anything with Maria, she got you for the full fare. (Sometimes it's worth it though and I'd be less than honest if I didn't admit to paying full fare in the past.)

Usually you pay full fare to a fav or a trophy fuck. The fav(orite) will ignore the knock, take extra good care of you in the room, will not be like an American woman etc. The trophy fuck is the Paris Hilton look alike that you just gots to have so you'll spend the extra for the experience.

Paris Hilton is not my type however. I'm more of a J.LO man. American women have much to learn and one of them is that "Looks ain't everything."

Even the trophy fuck will go for $40. though.

Never buy them the drink first. Buy the drink only if they are warm on the first squeeze, NEVER if they ask first. You want to spend time/money with someone you can like unless you want to go upstairs right away and you don't have to buy them a drink if you're going to do that -they are there to fuck and so are you.

I like to spend time with the girl downstairs too so when I find the one, I spend the money but don't think you need to do that first. Because you could end up doing that all night. And that could get expensive.

Sounds like the girl in the Alley did the right thing. There are a lot of gems out there.

Blue Nose, it was a pleasure to read your post. For years, I've thought that TJ was much more complex (and therefore harder to stereotype) than most posts would indicate. After reading a number of posts in a thread about a girl or bar, I suppose it's almost irresistable to generalize---she's a GFE, or she's stuck up, or that bar is a rip off. But the longer I've been going to TJ, the more complex and nuanced my experiences have become. As a consequence, my trips have become less predictable and more spontaneous as I've slowly abandoned my expectations about what will (or should) happen. In the process, I've slowly come to see the many generalizations and stereotypes I read on the internet about TJ as "comforting" and "reassuring" to the gringo traveler rather than as accurate or realistic.

Maybe that's just part of getting older. Everything here in the states also seems more complicated and ambiguous than twenty years ago--shades of gray instead of black and white. The format on an internet board doesn't really lend itself to exploring these sorts of issues, especially when raised in the context of a commercial sex destination like TJ, which has many more titillating topics for guys to discuss, so I'll leave it at that. But I enjoyed reading your take on it. Thanks.

I just returned from a four day San Diego business trip and made a few stops in TJ. Since I benefited greatly from the information on this board, I wanted to also share my experiences. First, Brockton O'Tools TJ Guide is mandatory reading. I followed the advice listed regarding crossing the border, taxis, security information, Adelita Bar (AB) and Chicago Club (CC). I traveled alone each night to TJ, drank responsibly, and never had a problem. I’m attaching a map found from another website that helped me identify areas.

I won’t provide a scale rating because all of our tastes are different. I prefer petite, small ass, full lips, long brown hair, and brown eyes. The darker and more Hispanic, the better. In my four night trips to TJ, I had no shortage to pick from, if I was patient and hunted well.

On the first night, I decided to check out the CC. It was completely dead (although it was early) so I went to Adelitas. After twenty minutes of scanning the bar and having a few beers, I hooked up with Maria, 29, from some city about 70 miles south of TJ. She had a great attitude and we quickly negotiated $60 . She allowed multiple positions (missionary, cowgirl, and doggie). Her CBJ was really enthusiastic as well. The room was $11 (and add a $1 for the cum clean up guy) – which was surprisingly nice. I planned to see Maria again because she was really a good GFE. I was tired from my cross country flight, so I called it a night early.

On the second night, I decided to check out the SG scene. I was amazed at how many there were along the street behind Adelitas. There had to be 40-50 of them standing up and down the street. One tip I would offer when spotting the girl you want in AB’s or CC is to buy her a drink. This will give you a chance to see what her attitude is while making only a $7 dollar investment. I did this with all of the chicas who caught my eye and it helped me screen out two likely bad experiences.

I speak only high school level Spanish so I decided to create a cheat sheet. I actually printed out this on a small sheet of paper and when I couldn’t communicate, I pointed out what I wanted. This may be a little anal (no pun intended), but I got exactly what I wanted with no mistake in communication. Some of the girls got a big kick out of my list (see below).

When I wasn’t sure of the number being quoted, I actually pulled out a pen and wrote a number down on a napkin. Maybe this is the lawyer in me, but since the negotiations were clear upfront, I never had any problems up in the room.

Long Duck Dong, I wanted to reply to your post. While I understand where you are coming from, in that many of the girls there see us as nothing more than walking ATM machines, I don't know that you can lump all the girls in the zona into the same category.

The zona is, I think, both a simple place and a complicated place at the same time. It is simple for the guys who just want to hand the girl $50 and get laid and it more complex for the guys who like to hang out there, talk to the girls, get to know them and maybe even be their friends. I classify myself in the latter group as I genuinely like most Mexicans I meet. I admit that there is an emotional attachment there, but I actually kind of like that and most (but not all) girls seem to appreciate it too. I think it may help make their difficult jobs somewhat easier. It's funny - this emotional attachment isn't what brought me to the zona in the first place, but it is one of the things that brings me back.

As I have said in some previous posts, I believe that there is something for everybody in the zona. If you are just looking for quick, transactional sex then you will find it and the zona would be seen as nothing more than a giant open-air Wal Mart where sex is the only service being sold. If, however, you are looking for something else: GFEs, GFs, a woman who can be your fav or even a friend then you can find this also. It just depends on how hard you are willing to look, how much time you want to invest in one girl and how you present yourself to the girl.

In short, what type of experience you will have depends on what type of experience you want. Since everybody is different, it stands to reason that their approach to the zona and to the girls is also different.

Sorry for the diversion, as I know we are off topic. I just wanted to make it clear to the many who read this board but do not post that there are many different experiences that can be had in TJ.

Was in the zona last weekend, and this has been my first chance to post since then. Normally I go during the day, but I had a few friends who wanted me to show them around so we went down on a Friday night.

I'm not sure who mentioned it, but the rumor that there are not many girls in the alley due to the holiday season seems to be a bit overblown: there were 100+ girls working on Friday night at midnight, and most were still there, braving the cold, when I left at 2am.

We left around 1:30, stopped in at HK (they were asking for a cover so we said no way), went to Miami for a quick beer and then back across the border. Good thing there were three of us as I was so loaded on beer, tequila and Cialis I would have been a sitting duck had I been by myself. By far one of the best trips I have had to the zona.

I always enjoy hitting the zona during the week. The crowds are light, and there are always enough hot chicas there to make the decision difficult.

I did end up finding who I was looking for. Jael (hi-EL) de Veracruz. She usually starts by nine, but was 'mas tarde' that evening. Jael is about 5' 1", probably all of 100 pounds. Not sure of her age as I never asked, but I would say she is 20 something. She has shoulder length dirty blond hair, and a very nicely enhanced rack. Although, upon thorough and further inspection, I could not find a scar any where on that girl. This requires further investigation. I'm starting to feel more at home in the Zona now than I am at home. Something about the place- the allure, the edge.

Arrived late because I had to shove a deal up a notary's ass in TJ. That took about an hour. Fucking jerks. They're crooks. Clip artists. Worse than the El Gallion in Guadalajara or the fucking El Pollo in the Zona.

Hooked up with some amigos from WSG, RODD and DirtyOldMan (D.O.M.), both veteran mongerers and very cool dudes. It's good for me because D.O.M helps me with Spanish, this was especially helpful when I ran into Diana de Culiacan. But more on that later.

Adelitas was looking very good. Some fresh faces and fabulous FABULOUS latina princesses. Even the Alley had some fine ladies out so there was no shortage of willing candidates.

I wanted to take a walk, smoke a joint and chat with D.O.M, catch up since our last get together, have a few laughs etc. I also wanted to have a look around the place since Gabriela was gone for the day and I was spending the night -who knows what you'll come up with.
