I mean absolutely no disrespect here. I have been going to the zona for about 5 years now. I never report on it because there's really nothing new to tell. It's all been laid out and written about 100000 times before. Anyhow, I don't mean to be rude here, but, do you guys really think of some of these girls as G/F's? That is pathetic. I recently read posts from a couple of members getting pretty friendly with the border agents regarding the nature of their visit to TJ.

This new sex tourism law scares me and the last thing I would do is tell a border agent that I went to Mexico to get laid.

Any thoughts on this new federal law? It seems that this law is targeted against those whose intent it is to have sex with children. Are normal mongers like me safe?

Sex tours can be arranged in exotic lands for a fee of course but unfortunately some of these involve minors. Many do not. But the ones that do are targeted by the US and the patrons are targeted for criminal prosecution which is proper and just.

Remember that in Mexico (and in many other countries) there is a "tolerance zone" for those wishing to engage the services of a prostitute. That is not sex tourism and as long as you fly straight and stay away from minors you'll be OK in your mongering.

"Normal" mongerers like us who monger South of the border with consenting adults are not affected by this law that is designed to stop the criminal activity of sex with minors outside the USA.

If you seek sex with minors you should be shot IMHO. Unfortunately the law is somewhat more lenient than that.

I have my regular girls in Tijuana, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Culiacan etc. and they are all my girlfriends. I simply tell the border agent the truth.

If I told him that I was "in Mexico having sex with minors" then he should arrest me on the spot.

Much has been written about this sensitive issue. The respectable thing for any adult (man or woman) is to NOT do it. I would suggest you google it and read up on the text of the law - it's a good one.

My thoughts are, the TJ border is the busiest in the world. The agents are worried about drugs coming across, and about terrorists coming across. They KNOW that most honest American citizens are going to TJ to party, drink, and get laid, and they could care less about that. Interesting day on Friday. I had to leave the Zona at about 6:30 for domestic reasons so I didn't hook up at the Fiesta. I stopped by several times and it was the last stop at 6:30 before departing but didn't see anyone.
