The info is pretty outdated, no one's writing any new reports, better to start the conversation, atleast until I can write one of my own.

Gents,

I assumings I did something wrongs, I had a horrible time in Havana. I spend 5 days total and didn't find much to look at, let alone approach. Too many unattractive black girls.

All of the white / mixed pretty girls at hotels, restaurants, on the street rarely looked at me, let alone make small talk.

I tried to flirt with the white girls. They would not give in. Not sure how you were able to pick up these regular girls.

I think I better stick with Mexico, Colombia or my favs joints in Asia.

But I am willing to give Havana another chance. Heards so many stories of professional women (doctor, nurses, teachers) making only $35 per month! Wow.

Many of them either left Cuba or get some outside help or earn enough or are students on support from families and daddies that do not need extra side hassle cash but I am surprised to see this happen across the board as you described it. Any luck? What did other fellow travelers say? When I went to Cuba some years ago there were always bars and clubs where you could pick up the girls for about $100 a night.

I will be in Havana for three weeks between May and June, and need some tips, as most of the stuff is pretty outdated.

Where is the best place to stay, both for mongering and experiencing the city, I am hearing conflicting advice between old Havana and Varadero.

As far as chicas go, I always hear it's loaded with hot girls, but never where to find them, any places worth visiting in that regard?

Any recent mongers who can give me the prices so I don't get ripped off?

Is $100 per day enough for having a good time (casa excluded) + chicas?

I am planning to rent an independent casa, so bringing girls over shouldn't be a problem. If anyone can recommend a place they stayed at that would also be great.

Agree with posters. My limited experience in Havana back in March 2023 is that most girls that gave me looks, cat called, walked around the Prado's were black. And not so attractive or scary looking. And when I tried to flirts with the white girls at hotels, restaurants, bars. I did not get any response.

But I also didn't go to all of the pick up bars and some other spots recommended on this form. So I realize my experience might not be normal. I am also darker skin colors and younger looking so many they think I am Cuba and not rich white man. So YMMV!

In 2013, I estimate the black hooker presence was between 10 and 20 percent. When viewing recent (in the last year).

YoTube videos I am seeing 50+%. Is there anyone who has a similar experience?

I have had a mixed bag of chicas and it all depends on where you are in the city or country. If you limit yourself then you limit your options. What's going on with the Black Cubans that you're speaking of?

Well I'm glad that I didn't see any as I was not by the Malecon. There is a park on Calle L where there were some chicas down from where they are building that highrise. Met one from Camaguey.

Well, I have been to Havana many, many times, and the last time I was there in January, there was a whole gay parade basically around 3 am. As soon as we entered LaRampa from the Malecon, it was very obvious, especially the later it got. The crowd of gays did end once we made it up to Club VS. This may have been a 1 night thing, no idea. When we was in that area 2 nights later, no sight of gays, but this time we entered from the opposite end, and just went into Club VS.

This is completely false the Rampa area is cruising for gays, the girls are all over the place and it's extremely easy the only thing is they can't walk with you.

Damm, didn't even knows about La Rampa. Although was in the area several times while visiting Univ of Havana and other sites.

My problem is I sleep early, so was usually in the sleep by 10 pm when most nightlife starts.

But agree, maybe I will try again next year. Its so cheap and easy to get to from USA. Why not give a try again!

Plus, I really liked how safe the country is. Makes our hobby so much easier than Tijuana or places like this.

Most of the action is when you enter La Rampa through the Malecon. Theres a jazz club, with a downstairs club on the block. La gruta is a nice big downstairs club with chicas. As you walk further inland, you will see in door and outdoor places to have a drink and people watch, as well as cafes to eat.

Near the university is one of my favorite cafes on San Lazaro, Locos Por Cuba, that was my first real meal. El bilky is near by.

I approach random chicas all over, asking them to go for a drink. They are very pleasant and respectful, its either a yes or a no.

The safety in this country is unreal. Which is why I prefer it. As well as the cigars and and rum.

I prefer to go to sleep early because I hit the beach everyday. When I travel with buddies, that's when the nights end late.

Try their high end restaurants too, about $25 for a lobster dinner, grilled octopus is usually on the menu too, I try a new one every visit and always check out my favorite ones. Stay away from the popular tourist restaurants.

United1, sounds like you had a test run. My first trip to Cuba, I did not find a warm authentic meal until the 2nd day during the evening. I did find a chica in one of the WIFI parks, and a couple more nearby Melia Cohiba hotel.

Cuba is unlike any other systematic chica friendly country. There is footwork to do, connections to make and with that comes convenience.

Every trip I took after the first one, only got better.

Its hard to tell you exactly where to find them, but along La Rampa is probably the easiest place to find a quickie.

If you take your time, and meet someone along the way throughout your day, it can be very rewarding.
