Hi all, I'll be making my first trip to Havana next month.
1) what's the current exchange rate on the streets? 330 pesos per dollar? More?
2) How long does it take to process thru HAV airport upon arrival? 20-30 min? More? .I'll be arriving on a Tuesday at 1:45 pm.
3) How reliable is wifi at HAV airport?
Thanks for the help!

Posts: 29Hey fellow enthusiasts! Some of you guys are funny. I thought I was a softie with my large gratuities, but some of you seem to have a hard time saying "no" haha. Just assume they all will eventually ask for money to be sent. Some will ask before the trip, all will eventually ask after you return home. I tell them I have a policy of not sending money, but that I am generous in person. I also say that my government does not like me sending money to Cuba and that I could lose my Global Entry if I were caught doing this, or maybe even my right to travel to Cuba (there is some grain of truth in this). They all have similar sob stories, usually revolving around birthdays (their own or their mother's or their grandmother's). Bottom line, say no to sending money, "I just don't do that. " Probably best to make that clear when you see them in person when they are happy, so there is no disappointment later. A burner isn't a bad idea, but I've used my regular phone on whatsapp and I have had no problems. I gave away my last burner to a chica haha. Like I said, softie.
Not sure how Tijuana is relevant, but I do not think that bringing girls to an airbnb in Havana for drinks is analogous to going down to dangerous Tijuana bars run by cartels where life has no value and the cops are all corrupt and you're paying by the half hour for hardcore pros with the 1000 cock stare. And I used to go down there in the old days, and yes, there are some stars, and I'm sure it's still fun as hell, but the risk factor is a magnitude higher for having your ear cut off and sent to your parents for ransom. If that's your thing, no hate, but it is a different experience than Havana where every girl is a potential.
Back on topic, I'm going back to Havana in June and I am always recruiting new talent. I now view work as an interlude between vacations, rather than the reverse, haha.
Note to self wrt some good gifts to bring: Cheap body sprays and hair brushes! I'm still pulling long hairs out of my brush. And they want to use my man cologne, hahaha.

Really you can ask almost any girl if you can take her for a date and give her a gift. Take your pick. Most will say yes. And if they say no it's not a disgusted no.
But as others have said, don't go to Havana if you don't speak passable Spanish. It's a waste of time. This isn't Tijuana. They don't pick up English due to proximity to the states.

I still like the thought that it's just a teacher or a waitress or whatever that I'm "picking up", then giving her a few bucks afterwards. It just adds to the entire fantasy of me being a big shot while I'm out there.

I met a few Cuban American girls in Miami, light-skinned with the sweetest faces, fully developed bodies with beautiful feminine shapes and curves, light, sweet, happy personalities.
Presence of Russian and Vietnamese troops in Cuba and cross breeding with locals have produced a population of beautiful cross-bred female specimens. I heard, but have not tried, that they hang out at Casa de Musica in Habana.
Latinas love their tattoos, especially Cubanas, like that makes them unique in the world. Their natural beauty is trashed by those urban graffitis. They are stupid but how can anyone explains to them?
Also the long fake nails, like they are high-class and never have to do anything menial in their lives. Just make them look stupid and ghetto to the mainstream.
Hong Kong club in Tijuana has 80 to 100 light-skinned Latinas every night of the week, some look healthy and beautiful like super models of the world. Sinaloa girls are tall and big with fake blonde hair, fake boobs, fake asses, loud, booming voices and aggressive personalities. You should see the vicious cat fights among bossy Sinaloa girls in HK.
Girls from Sonora are smaller but also beautiful with fewer fake assets and nice, sweet, loving personalities. I just met a hot Sonoran spinner in HK, speaks adequate English, fun and sexy in the club. She guided my face from her boobs down to her crotch, sniffing, licking in the middle of club hehe. Invited her out to dinner with wingmen but she said sadly that she needed money and had to stay in the club to work. She was wild and passionate in bed, squealing, talking dirty in English. Unlike most HK girls, she's unusually sweet and loving in words and texts, suggests a vacation in her hometown of Bahia de Kino on the East side of the Sea of Cortez, where seafood is abundant, fresh and cheap. Beef raised in Sonora is allegedly the best, rivaling Kobe beef. Whether real or fake, she's all around a very nice package, sure gave me a lot more than I expected in fun, sex, passion.
I met big disappointment in quality of fun, food, sex flying to Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Brazil. I can easily have sweet, sexy fun with lots of light-skinned Latinas in Tijuana without having to fly to Cuba or countries in Central and South America.

Posts: 104Fantastic point: Spanish language skills improve the experience!!
I don't think people fully appreciate just how much being able to conversationally relate with girls, but really pretty much everyone, helps improve the travel experience overall. Being able to relate to folks about their day, their work, family stuff, whatever, creates a closer, human bond with those you're interacting with. This will make every aspect of your trip better and more enjoyable.
There's no doubt this has made nearly every trip I've taken to DR, Colombia (BOG, MDE, CLO), Aruba, etc. Far, far better than trying to get by with Google Translate.
Put in the time to learn Spanish and you will reap 10 x what you sow in time invested.

Posts: 255 night trip to Havana
Got back 2 weeks ago from a quick 5 night trip to Havana. Here are some tips that may or may not be useful to anyone.
My friend and I went down for a relaxing getaway from the stresses of life. Mongering was a definite, but it wasn't the overall main goal of the trip. Getting away from real life for a bit was the main goal.
Tip #1: I jumped on Badoo about 3 weeks out from my trip. I know it has been mentioned here that the earlier the better to be on Badoo as most of these girls don't have consistent connectivity to the internet, but I actually feel like it would have been better if I had gone on closer to the trip instead. I found that the earlier I contacted a girl, one of three things happened:
#1 They'll message you every day all the way up to the trip to make sure that they didn't lose out on a client.
#2 They would forget that we were in contact weeks ago and you'the have to start all over again.
#3 They would drop off the internet and it feels like a bit of wasted time.
Either way, with regards to mongering, I could have gone onto Badoo the week before my trip and I feel like that would have been more than enough. However, with the limited time we were there, I was glad I did do some sort of early recon since there were a few times where it was just easier to break the phone out and invite a girl over for some drinks rather than going hunting. So whether it's Badoo or IG or whatever the kids are using these days, do yourself a favor and take a little time ahead of your trip. Make sure you get their WhatsApp number right away as it works much more smoothly than the messaging system in badoo. I didn't run into a single girl that didn't give me her number as soon as I asked for it. By the last week, I was asking for their numbers within the first few messages.
Tip #2: Lots of very attractive and not so attractive girls absolutely everywhere. Slim and tight or black chicks with badonk, it's all available. As has been mentioned, San Rafael and Prado were full of girls giving you winks and psst psst any time from late afternoon on. We walked all around Old Havana and again, lots of girls out on the prowl. Even picked up a fantastically hot MILF on the patio at Hotel Inglaterra. And by "MILF", I mean late 20's early 30 ish with actual curves that jiggled and with enough experience to know exactly how to grind my dick right off my body and leave me smiling ear to ear. Also found quite a few girls in the park right in front of La Floridita. And we got lots of attention on Obispo from the afternoon through the evening.
Tip #3: Best piece of advice is to just walk up to any girl that has given you a look, chat for a few minutes, then get her name and WhatsApp number. We did that for plenty of girls throughout the day when we weren't interested in going back to our apartment yet. Then it's up to you if you want to call them later in the evening if nothing better comes along.
Our second night there, there was a thunderstorm of epic proportions that started around 6 or 7 ish so there was no way we were going out. So out came the phone and an hour later I had a super cute 20 year old that I had contacted over Badoo pretrip for me and another girl who's WhatsApp number I had collected the day before that promised my buddy a "very special massage" over for a few drinks and some sexy times. Absolutely no rush. Drinks were flowing, music was playing, laughter was abundant. It was a fantastically fun night. Sufficed to say that my friend and I both slept like babies that night. Each girl went home with $50 in her pocket, some chocolate bars and some new clothes.
Tip #4: Learn Spanish. Just do it. Anything you can speak just ups your chances of getting hotter girls and making your experience even better.
My buddy is a pretty good looking and very in shape guy. I however am a short, fat, bald ogre. Any restaurant we went to, he would get the sly looks from the waitresses. However, as soon as he started to trip himself up with his limited Spanish and I had to step in to translate and get the girls laughing or engage them in a conversation, it was I who was able to get the girls' number to call them later for a "date". I cannot overstress the importance of being able to hold a conversation with a girl. If you can actually talk to them and ask them about themselves and their lives, their interest levels go through the roof and even a guy like myself can pick up most hot waitresses like I'm Clooney. In fact, that girl from the rain night stuck around in bed for at least an hour after the deed, just talking and continuing to give my little knubby shuleleh oodles of attention as we talked about her life and whatever else came up. So do your penis a favor and learn some Spanish. My buddy is already practicing for next year's trip.
Small stuff:
-talk to your airbnb host pretrip to see if they can help you exchange money. We got 310 to 1 USD and the lady had the money waiting for us at the apartment for when we arrived.
-absolutely every person you pass is going to try to stop you to exchange money, sell cigars, sell rum, "I have the most beautiful girl for you", etc. Do not make eye contact and do not break your stride. Just say, "no thanks" as you keep walking. Some will follow you, some will call after you "oh, you don't like talking to Cubans? Do Not Break Stride and just ignore them. Anything more than that is engaging with them and it becomes very exhausting dealing with that by the end of the first day. We actually got to the point that we didn't even say "no thanks", we just ignored them and kept walking. It feels like a jerk thing to do at first, but the attention is so abrasive, that you get over being a jerk real fast.
Ok, that's all I can think about for now. Questions or comments, post here or DM me.
