Thanks Questner. What's it like daytime to early evening? This is actually probably a bigger question for me, although of course I'm interested in the evening too, just because I'll probably jump around a bit at night anyway.

I don't know as day time is better be spend for beach or culture or matinees. So, yes I would visit Copa bar or Riviera for shows, or a plaza nearby for some street action, but again, it's not the best location.

I have always stayed near La Rampa when I've been in Havana and was thinking about mixing it up a bit and moving over to one of the casas near the Riviera / Cohiba. I walk in and out a lot and tend to like to have availability of some amenities reasonable nearby. I'm quite familiar with the area around La Rampa but much less so with the neighbourhood around the Riviera, although I know that the Copaand the Jazz cafe are there, there is a supermarket relatively close and maybe a few scattered freelancers around. I know that they're very close to each other by cab but as I tend to walk around the neighbourhood where I stay quite frequently I want there to be enough there to feed me and keep me interested, at least. I will of course step out around town at night. Can you guys give me a bit of a comparison between the two spots from your point of view and whether you would recommend I keep staying by La Rampa or whether a move would be a good choice.

Chica prices will definitely go up and all the Spanish speaking American pimps will move in and change the game forever. It's already starting. Since the White House started allowing Cuban Americans to visit their homeland I've noticed a few new things from the Chicas.

1. Their prices have more than doubled in some areas.

2. They're acting just like North American hookers in the sense that some of them are charging by the hour.
