Just a follow up on the outdoor drinking spot at the base of high rise apartment building near the Melia Cohiba.

In the attached image, in the upper right, the large building is the Melia, across the street to the left is the super Mercado, below and across the street is the high rise apartment building. The outdoor bar is in the shadow where my cursor is, right on the Malecon. Great place to pick up Chicas after sunset. They hang out there all night till sunrise.

Are you able to remember the name of the bar by any chance? Or a more precise intersection?

Hey man! Not sure you are getting my messages. I waited around the Prado hotel for about 1/2 HR. They were not letting people through to the stage side and I was on the Malecon side. No internet there so to msg you so I bailed to the Deauville to check online to see if you had messaged. Was so damned jet lagged I just ended up crashing last night. If you are still around lets meet up before you fly back.

Right on with your description Ty Down. The entire time my buddy and I were in Havana, our playground was the area you described. Almost all quality chicas we met up were at Calle1 ra or the streets branching off it. Because of the occasional presence of police, sometimes the chicks sat in taxis and wouldn't come out of the car until the money negotiation was done. Then they just showed up to our apt without being seen with extranjero. Also, there's a great restaurant named Atelier, with quality food and inexpensive by US standards one block away.

Never hung out around Melia hotel or been the Hemingway Marina. Can you provide any more details about where to meet girls at these places?

Oh yes, the Melia is a great place to score! Lot's of Chica's hanging around, ostensibly to use the Melia WIFI wink wink. There is a lounge on the first floor serving drinks and food, and Chica's will hang there in the evenings for the WIFI wink. On the second floor, there is 3 restaurants, Italian, Mediterranean, and I can't remember the other, all good. Also on the second floor is the outdoor pool area, all these are open to tourista's and any Chica you bring with you. I think the pool pass is 5 CUC per person, if you're not lodged at the Melia. There's also a Bar / Grill in the pool area.

Taking a step back, the whole area around the Melia is a Chica hotspot. Across the road is the Super Mercado, across from that, is a couple high rise apartment buildings, in behind one of those buildings is an outdoor bar / drinking spot, right on the Malecon, all kinds of Chicas after sunset. Picked up one of the hottest Chica's I've had in my entire life there, she was one of the best GFE ever, fantastic passionate sex. I lost her phone number and been kicking myself ever since then. BTW, Tablazo is just down the street, another good spot for Chica's.

Hemingway Marina is a good place to chill out. There's a good Restaurant / Bar on the dock. Saw some multimillion $$$ Super Yachts there. Just don't take any pics or videos like I did. Police came out of nowhere when they realized I was taking video of one of the yachts. Scared the shit out of me.

The Commodor Shops are between the Commodor Hotel and Melia Havana. There is a Bar outside and when I was there there were a number of Chicas hanging out and giving you the eye. Prices were low for a ST; maybe 40-50 CUC. Also many chicas just walking around and on 3rd Ave nearby. Marina Hemmingways is a Hang out for a number of expats. There is a Bar / Club that has Chicas hang out in the later afternoon; Its a nice scene to grab a beer and relax by the water. There are a couple of Bars nearby to go in the evening about 11 pm, whose names I don't recall but you can chat with some of the regulars there and they can give you the names. I will be there in early December and will get the names and post. Enjoy.

Check out Ostionera de San Lazara in Vedado. Also a little spot called My Rey. It has reasonable prices. They sell Cristal and Bucanero to go. On one evening I ate dinner with a Cuban family. The meal was very good. Loved it all. Enjoyed some Havana Club with them too. The locals are very helpful.

I would also recommend these Vedado restaurants: el idilio on the corner of Calle 15 and Ave. De LOS Presidentes, Cafe Cuatro Lunas on Calle I, one block from Ave 23 (La Rampa) and VIPHabana on Calle 9 why Calle F. Not cheap but not expensive and really good food in all three.

USD 150 per day sounds kind of overpriced. I went to Havana in 2007 and wasn't impressed. Now I'm forved to go to Havana because flights to other cities are cancelled. I plan to take to first bus or train to either Ciego de Avila or Holguin. USD 40 per day for an inexperienced chica beats USD 150 per day for a hardcore chica any day of the week. I will be going in January.

I go to Havana twice a year. Been going close to 18 years. Currently ST rates vary from 40-80 CUC and LT 100-120 CUC plus Taxi fare. Chicas always ask for more but its Forums like this that hope to educate you to Bargain always--its the Culture. Those who don't are saps and make it harder on others. There are many places to walk around and find Chicas; such as the City Centre near the Havana Libre or at the Commodor Shops near the Melia Havana. There are also a few clubs near the Marina Hemmingway that cater to chicas that are non-pros and many regulars go there and hang out and find gems. I've been to many places all over the world and find Havana Chicas provide some of the best GFE experiences anywhere; that's why I keep coming back. This Forum has immense information from many experienced and non-experienced Mongers; use this wealth of experience you won't regret it. Enjoy.

Have to agree with you wholeheartedly. Although I don't go down for mongering solely I wouldn't fork over that much money if I ever pick up a chica no matter how hot she is.

Got out to Playa del Este. Nice beautiful beach. Umbrella and 2 beach lounge chairs were 6 CUC for me and my chica friend. Ordered a mojito but wasn't that good but they brought a bottle of rum and let me taste it first. I told them to add more until I said stop. There was no extra charge for that.
