Has anyone experience of the hotel secotel carribbean, Paseo del Prado. I've got a couple of nights there before I arrange an appropriate casa probably in vedado close to av 23.

Seems like centro and habana viejo goes to sleep after midnight, so where are the best clubs. La rampa and vedado seems the best area.

I vaguely remember a couple of years ago going to a club st. Peters or petro's or something, a house out in the burbs, great times lots of chica's but on account of the alcohol can't remember what it was really called.

Anyone else recall it? Is it still going?

OK I googled and finally found a picture of the place. Its Las Piedras. I recall plenty of upmarket chicas. Is it still running til the early hours?

I have booked a casa that is "guest friendly". I have asked them if there is a gift that I can give that I can travel with that that is easy to bring but difficult for them to get (they ignored that part but said I can "converse" with a guest at the casa particular) but I want to award them for their accommodations. Any recommendations for a gift for future goodwill in our hobby?

When asked if you can bring local guests, you'll be always answered politely "no" (1/3) or "yes" (2/3).

But the yes ALWAYS means that you register the guest in the casa logbook (see previous posts), and often, no more than one chica per night, and very often, you'll be strongly suggested not to change girl every night. The difficulty is to find a chica ready to register.

As said before, go with the flow, and follow the chica at "her" casa, or any other place suggested from locals, after few intel. Cuba is very safe.

If I meet someone, can I take them back to the apartment to socialize or do I just need to talk to people in cafes and bars? I would never want a party or loud music. I am respectful and I would not violate your rules.

I was given the green light by 2/3 hosts that I contacted. Obviously if I brought a guest back for some Cuba libres we would just hang out and discuss the finer arts like 80's heavy metal and pro wrestling. (I don't see an issue).

What I'm saying is just because they say "Guest friendly" doesn't mean that the casa owner won't show up with a book to log your guest in. Casa owners are a mixed bag, some are hands on, others are not. Hopefully yours us not.

I'm guessing that your inquiry about " Guest friendly" has them a little nervous but they needed the sale so they told you what you wanted to hear but now they backtrack and say you can converse with guests. Cubans are very cautious and sometimes you have to just understand and let things roll. Cubans don't like to be asked questions especially if it defies the system.

I have a confirmed friendly casa around calle 24. I'm mainly there for P2P but would not mind company if it's available. What is the respectable going rate for companionship for some rum and cokes (*lots of winky emoticons. Capisce?) for a ST & a LT depending on the vibe for quest that's considered reasonable for a US tourist?

Been twice, in May and August. Great time, and they do slow single males, but it's always good to go with someone that is a frequent visitor.

And like I mentioned a few months back, Pico Blanco is back open and kicking it. Seems more of a couples spot now, but still plenty of potential single ladies.

Wow, sorry for misleading, I had no idea. I can't imagine any swinger club in Havana is going to be any good or what you might expect, but I for one will stop by to see is my intuition is indeed accurate.

I am in Havana for the first time. Staying there for a few days. Can anybody help me to make best use of my days, to explore the Havana girls at ist best? Also, does anyone know whether there are swinger clubs where singles are also welcomed? Thanks for all your hints and ideas.

That video is shot behind hotel nacional, you reach it by walking to the malecon down 23. There always has been a party down there. Though one should be careful as there are alot of ladyboys down there too that wander up and down from the Las Vegas.

I think its a good area to stay although more central round Hotel Inglaterra may be good as well. I'd like a spacious private entry apartment with good bathroom agua caliente etc, not sure if I need air con. Going first half of November.
