Honestly, it hasn't been a great pure mongering destination since the 90's. It has other qualities that I absolutely love and I will continue to visit. However, for guys that want point and click mongering, it shouldn't be your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd choice.

Have to agree with you as far as how things have deteriorated since the good old days.

I get regular info about places as far as who's playing where and when, let me know if you want it.

Awesome report! I know so many of those places. Crazy to hear about many of them being closed for the short term. Hoping to take some friends back in March for another 5 day adventure.

I was surprised about the 50 CUC offer for a Malecon chica. I've seen those girls offer up the good times for as low as $25.

Friday.

Arrived around midnight and was excited to be going to Las Piedras for their after hour glory. Passed by the club in a cab around 1 am And it was closed! No lights and not a person in sight. Later on in the trip I found out it closed due to a drug related operation being run in the bar. A chica told me it would re-open in January but I don't know how reliable that information is.

The cab driver suggested LOS ches and we were off. I got the feeling we were doing rounds though and he dropped me off at case de la musica miramar. I told him I knew very well he missed his mark and I planned on tipping him but now would pay only the Las Piedras fare.

I snuck a peak into both casa de la music and el diablo tun tun but they weren't doing it. A cab driver suggests a place he knows in vedado called "bollabao" and we're off. I figure out in the cab ride he meant "Up and down". When I walked in I immediately liked the energy but it was late around 1 ish and girls were already paired up. The upstairs looked bumping but it was their VIP and I didn't want to bother trying to grease my way up there.

Cue Yuni a thick blonde by the bar that was separated from her friends upstairs due to space issues. I bought her a drink and we talked and danced. The lights went on around 2 and we went for a walk on the malecon to grab another drink. I urged her to skip it and told her there was booze at my place. Negotiated 50 with the cab included. She was kind of naggy but it was late and she wasn't that fine so take it or leave it. Her performance was mad average and she had trouble taking it past third gear. She kept asking me to finish so I obliged. It was late, I was tired, she wasn't that hot naked and I just wanted to get my rocks off and go to bed. Never called her back.

Saturday.

Spent the day by the pool. The Melia cohiba usually offers a small price for a weekly membership to their gym but the gym is under renos and the front desk are always so smug about only hotel guests at the pool. I went across to the rivera. All in all I think habana libra might be a good choice for a weekend pool party but I kept hearing things about Chateau. Not sure about the location for Chateau though.

In the evening decided to check out fabrica del arte. It turned out it was closed until October 6th for renovations. Hopped in a cab and headed to la cecilia. It was dead quiet and the bouncer told me chacal was performing at Don Cangrejo. 25 CUC entrance, an extra cab ride and I was finally in a place filled with countless chicas. Sigh of relief.

I conducted a few interviews and mingled for a bit. I pulled a few numbers. I settled on Yaileen; a tight and trim mulata from Holguin. We settled on a 70 CUC tip and we were off around 3 am Great performance and fantastic body. I was a little drunk so it lasted a while but she was a real pro about it. Great experience.

Sunday.

Spent the day pool side then went for a stroll in Havana vieja for the cafes. I didn't really see much action popping my head in and out of cafes of obispo and other streets. The busiest may have been el floridita but it was a tourist vibe so I bailed on the idea and took a nap.

Later that evening I ended up checking el Rio club (aka el johny) because it was close by my casa but it was a quiet sad scene. I took a cab to la rampa and stopped at salon rojo but it was empty. Swung by la gruta but there wasn't much going on and certainly not enough choices. I didn't stay too long.

I decided to stroll el malecon and I spot a negra with an amazing ass. Her friend whistles at me so I join them. Her name is Rosa and we have a pretty intimate conversation for 30 minutes. It's getting late so I shoot an offer of 50 CUC and told her unfortunately I was waiting until the next day to exchange some cash.

We hop in a cab with her friends and her friends wait for her up the street. It was a fantastic performance. She was really passionate. Amazing ass doggystyle. I would've repeated but she struck me as stage 4 clingy. She wanted to stay the night and kept talking relationship talk.

Tuesday.

I did a role call of some of the girls numbers at Don Cangrejo. Eventually I land on Yiselle. A thin model looking triguena with a bubbly personality and great smile. She struck me as a bit of a semi pro at the club but she was all pro with the call. I barely had time to dress after my shower when she arrived. It was funny; we sat, had a couple of drinks, and chatted for over an hour. It honestly felt like a first date. Normally I'm used to the fidgety wham bam thank you mam girls at my door step. I had her in her underwear rounding second base and decided to talk gifts. She was fine with 60 CUC with the cab inclusive. She mentioned she had done this a few times before and never felt so shy. It was a good performance and I was glad to burn a little time with a pretty girl with a lot of positivism.

Later on in the evening my curiosity got the best of me and I tried to hail a cab to LOS ches unsuccessfully. The couple of cab drivers I stopped looked at me blankly about the destination. I couldn't help but remember the first cab driver mispronouncing up and down. My airport cab driver told me it was spelt with an a and an h at the beginning. Kind of like the letter h spelled phonetically in Spanish LOS\las h (silent) -a -see-h-e-s. Anyway google comes up blank so if anyone can clarify for the team that'd the be great. Good reviews all round for this place.

Like some people on this forum I was lucky enough to catch Havana closer to the golden years and so I can't help but get a feeling of diminishing returns. Maybe it was the time of year I visited or lack of preparation but I felt you really had to keep your ear to the ground to find a good party. It was hit or miss. It might be different if you have local friends who can help keep tabs.

Chica wise I think you can talk a girl down to 50-80 CUC if you know what you're doing. The difficulty lies in the hunt and finding a flock of these girls. Keep in mind I didn't encounter any hardcore dime pros so it's always possible to pay closer to the ceiling (say 80-100) if it's worth it. This was one big miss. I recall several years ago going into the salon rojo and being surrounded by 100 hardcore super hot pros and then taking the hottest girl I've ever slept with home. I couldn't recreate that scenario over a short trip unfortunately. Not for lack of trying either.

My next trip to Cuba if I decide to go will be Holguin since I've heard great things.

At sammytheman it's funny you should mentioned girls disappearing. I called an old flame (3-4 years ago) when I was going through my numbers and she actually picked up. It was nice to hear her voice but she mentioned times had changed and it would be difficult to meet up. I assumed there was a man or even a baby in the picture but maybe she was talking about something else altogether.

1st off wanted to thank you for the report. Too many guys come here asking for advice and very few write a report. La Habana was good 3-4 years ago. Now a lot of places are closed or empty or filled with expensive hardcore ugly girls. I remember paying model types 50 CUCs after a few drinks and dances. Also I've noticed some most of the girls I had met over the past 4 years have disappeared.

Don't know if they left the island or are in prison. Either way RIP Habana. I had a great time. Time to look for another destination.

My fellow mongers!

I am gong to Cuba next month for work and I need some advice. I have RTFF but I am still confused on a lot of issues. Any info / advice you gusy can give woudl be much appreciated.

I am going to Havana for a conference. The organizer have suggested we stay at casas and have even recommended a a website where we can book.

Perusing the casas listings I noticed that they are categorized by "People who care about. " family", "budget", etc. One of the categories is "romance". Can I interpret this to mean the casa is "girl friendly"?

In any case, can anyone recommend a girl friendly casa in Vedado?

Also, I gather form reading the reports that the best strategy nowadays for finding girls is to befriend a good taxi guy. Can anyone recommend a guy to me that has helped them in the past?

I would be very grateful for any help and I will post my experiences (I have a good track record of doign thsi on the board. Just check my posts form Asia and Euroep).
