What do I need to know to NOT end up in one of Castro's jails for soliciting? Is there an ideal AirBnB situation / location I should arrange? I'll admit, I'm writing blind here and haven't read the forum. If that info is there, please just let me know. I was just looking for a quick vector as to how easy it will be to plan for a February trip, assuming I can meet the requisite US Treasury department requirements for "educational purposes". Any putas out there that teach Greek? LOL!

I wasn't going to reply because you have 6 months to prepare and don't want to read the forum but I see this is your post number 777 so I took that as a positive sign LOL. I see you frequent Brazil so you might want to take Havana off your list, you will be greatly disappointed.

I like your honesty in your post but you have everything wrong; Fidel doesn't lock tourist in jail for solicitation. Qualifying for one of the 12 categories requires you to simply check a box, people to people is the easiest. No proof is required. Airnb I've never used but it's a mistake to book anything for Cuban casas on the Internet, it's hit and miss. They will say the have a place but will neglect to post that granny and three kids are also in the home.

Cuba takes many trips to work with pleasure. It took me three trips to find the perfect Casa as I had to work the ladder from the streets. Girls are there and they are gorgeous and hot in bed but again you have to have connections that you have cultivated over several trips. Havana is under a microscope now so it will be even harder than when I started a few years ago. If you really want to go just do it for a historical reason and enjoy that but if you think Havana is going to even come close to Brazil, think again.

There's very little street action in Havana, Vedado and Miramar.

You may be disappointed but do not let me discourage you.

Cuba is no longer a point and click P4P destination.

It hasn't been point and click P4 P since the 90's. Cuba is a completely different animal than Brasil, Colombia, DR, and just about everywhere else written about on this board. It can be very rewarding if you go about things the right way. But a lot of guys on here aren't going to want that hassle.

Thanks Mr Gogo. I appreciate. You've pushed me in the right direction. I've had a bad experience picking up off the street so I think I'll stick to the cafes instead of parks under the circumstances. I'll map out all the popular cafes and do a few rounds. Luckily I have a caffeine addiction!

The cafes, parks on Obispo, Prada, Parque centro, Inglaterra terrace are all part of the hardcore girl circuit. If you sit at any of these spots you will see the same girls pass by every 20 minutes. If the police are cracking down, they will start with these spots during the day. If you act like a tourist, in the tourist spots, it's hit and miss. If you tap into the local scene by having an introduction it makes things much easier and discreet. Good luck Sir.

Right now Havana is hot and the girls are very nervous. This is where your people skills and creativity are needed. The hardcore street girls aren't worth the problem of cops watching them or them being informants. Befriend an English speaking taxi driver or bicitaxi guy and have them give you a tour. Eventually they will offer girl hookups and will give you an introduction and drop them off at your Casa. The girls might have a Casa friend that won't document the visit. Work one of the Internet sites and arrange a meet is another way. Young hot Cubans walking carefree holding your hand in the street is not the play at this time in Havana. Pussy is still there but change your approach to avoid problems.

One piece of advice is to never trust a Cuban.

The more trust and kindness you show them the more they will take advantage.

Its a nasty thing to say but it took me over 15 years to realize this. In the long run they always let me down but never sexually!

I'm headed to Havana next month and I could use some advice about parks\day spots to pick up chicas at. Generally I can do my best to figure out what night's hot where but the day spots\parks\cafes have always eluded me.

Also if you have any suggestions for night life that's welcome too! The only real hit I had on my last trip was Las Piedras. I'll share my report on my return.

Last year at this time I did my obligatory, and wrote it off my bucket list of things to do, and stayed 10 days in and around Havana but since then never looked back and off to other places both new and repeated destinations.

One thing I will never forget about my 10 day stay last year in August. Damn it's hot and humid in Cuba in August.

IMO the only place to be in and around Havana in August is the beach. Even the Cubans do nothing but hang at the beach in August as many are given August off as it is too hot to work. The only month worst than August is September when it is also very very humid.
