I just came back from Havana. Everything in Havana is expensive now - $2.50 for a beer, use to be $1. Ugly girls want $30 or even $40 by the hour. By the hour casa's run $15, the whole night costs $25 to $30. A lot more pimps, and scams on the road. A lot more girls working the streets, 16 or so, best to avoid them, they are clever. It is hot down here in Cuba, not possible to walk few minutes. Cubans even avoid the sun, best time to seek out is at 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. End your night early, nothing but drunk cowards on street after 11:00 PM. Night clubs are hit and miss. I actually stopped going to clubs in Havana, same old scene every time, same girls, same pimps and same shows. Better to pick up girls on the road, cafes and such.

Little bits from my trip last week.

Me and Grownman were very fortunate to get 93-95 cuc for every US dollar. Spots visited were La Casa de Musica, Don Congrejo, Tikao, Coctel Havana, el Conejito, La Gruta, la Zorra y el Cuevo, and disco fiesta. What I noticed is each club usually has different clientele depending on the night you go. For example: La Gruta on Thursday was great with a 5-1 girl to guy ratio with most of the girls available. Friday night La Gruta had some band performing and charged 5 cuc (normally 3 cuc) and it was mostly couples. Sunday La Gruta had mostly dudes. It might be a good idea to ask the girls where they are going on certain nights.

My main girl was on contract work in China and my other favorita can't keep a phone number working for longer than two days so I started fresh. Met a nice girl at one of the dating sites who came to Havana and fucked me good for two days and never asked for any money. Naturally I brought comida, mojitoes and gave her a few dresses plus slipped a few CUC in her purse on departure. She put me on injured reserve because of her sex and I was ruined from fucking my last two days. The girl would beat my chest, bite, jack my dick to hard and use teeth while giving head before I stopped her. My dick was sore and bruised but otherwise she had some good pussy while it lasted. She would actually put her fingers in my ears while we fucked which was weird. I just didn't understand her sex technique but that's Cuba.

I came back with 600 dollars because we have learned how to be economical in Cuba. Astoria hotel lobby has a grill joint in the lobby that sells the best burger for 2 CUC. Ruinas del Parque is my best spot for food and chilling. It's on Obispo in Old Habana next to the park and they have a daily 10 CUC special. You get lobster, beef or chicken, salad, rice, vegetables, desert and a mojito plus coffee at the end. So basically I can eat my lobster meal for lunch then hit the burger joint in the evening and only spend 12 CUC a day for food. Taxis are negotiable and if they don't negotiate then just wait for a taxi dropping someone off and get a deal.

Our Cuban connections came through big time with some nice girls and other things.

Highlights: In Casa de Musica and having the girls do a police lineup of ten of the finest girls I have ever seen in one spot. I felt like a judge on American idol but I don't mess with these over priced girls.

Going to Disco Fiesta: you drive through the tunnel going to Santa Maria and drive about 15 minutes. It's a poor Cuban town and we were the only gringos there. We went with our Cuban brothers so I wouldn't advise anyone to go there solo. Girls were on us and GM pulled a nice girl and we left at 4 am.

People on the street are selling the internet cards for 2 CUC per hour outside of the hotels. Shame on the hotels with their 8 CUC markups.

Amazingly GM (Grownman) was able to pull girls using our Cuban brothers for 20 CUC each. Sometimes even less. He will post more later about having the Cuban brothers and the girls in the apartment and everyone fucking in every room including the kitchen. GM went directly to the DR do his report on Cuba might take some time.

Overall a very good trip until the girl put me on the sidelines but next month I'm headed to the DR with an extra 600 to blow LOL.

Without the consent of my friend Americano573 I will not disclose his program but I can say what a program it is, it has taken him years to perfect and he reaps the rewards each day of his time in Cuba. It actually is incredible how much fun and different girls he has all throughout the island. The difference is that he puts in a great deal of effort and I saw first hand the benefits and even enjoyed a few side benefits myself. Thanks again my brother from another mother.

Know that these are my observations and experiences and yours may be different. That is OK. There are many details left out of this report but suffice to say that these are highlights only meant to provide information to others interested in visiting Cuba.

you have knocked it out the park. Your report is a summary of my 5 day in Cuba. I hope I have an opportunity and the time to write a report on my specific experiences.

You can very quickly spend a sizable amount of money on all the taxi fares for you and carting around your girls.

Thank you for the report, and you have laid it out really well. When I read your comment about the taxi fare, I recollect spending more on taxi than all other expenses. This was a bit of a shocker in Havana as I was used to other towns where one could just walk around or the bici costs a fraction to go around. This is what happened before I tried my best to control this expense.

Day.

10 cuc for the chica in, and 10 cuc for chica out, 10 cuc for a return trip to a paladar.

Night.

10 cuc for the club, 10 cuc return from the club, and potentially 10 cuc for the separate ride of chica.

Total.

60 cuc / day.

Some of you might say, 60 cuc is not much as there is comfort in taxi. I would rather spend this money on chicas who deserve it than the taxi drivers. To control the cost, one has to know the nexus between chicas and drivers. A number of these drivers tell the chica that she needs taxi because of cops. For example, when I used to take chicas from a place like Taramar there is a police check post on the highway, the drivers who know the cops, just say hola and drive away, chicas feel safe with them. If you are dependant on the taxi drivers for chicas, then I don't think there is a way cut this cost as a result.

Now I end up staying on the taxi collectivo route when in Havana, that means within easy walking from Neputano, Avenida 23, Linea or Malecon. I tell the chicas to take taxi collectivo, and the only time I use the taxi is when returning from a club as it is late and collectivos are not many.

Trip report 10 days in Havana August 2015.

Preface Throughout my 10 days in and around Havana I could not help but wonder how different my experience and perhaps disappointment would have been because of the changes in Cuba and P4 P challenges if I had chosen to travel to Cuba instead of Brazil back in 2000 and 2001. But at a simple "flip of a coin" decision and Brazil and European destinations won out and I enjoyed my multiple trips to San Paulo and Rio back in the day.

I do know for an absolute certainty that if I did not have my fellow veteran travel partner Americano573, whom was so gracious to take me under his wing, if not for him my experience in Cuba would have been completely different, so I owe a big debt of gratitude to Americano573. His command of Spanish (this cannot be overstated in its importance in Cuba) his story's & experiences from his 14 plus years of travel throughout all of Cuba, the relationships that he has formed, the way he has adapted to the changes and the manner in which he has mastered his "game" is not only fascinating to watch first hand in action but best of all he unselfishly shares this information (women too) with a Cuban travel newbie as myself. There are others who have sent me suggestions via PM on this board who I wish to thank.

Much has already been written about Havana regards the girls, the police, the bars, the SW scene, the beaches, the pros, the pimps, the hassles, the hustle, the food, the casa particulars, the scams, the heat as yes August 2015 was very hot, and know that it is all spot on so not much to add to this that has not already been discussed in detail.

By design, this being my first trip to Cuba, I decided to stay in the Vedado area for the whole stay. We were roomies together in the same casa which was a god send. This proved very useful as its location is good central spot. You can very quickly spend a sizable amount of money on all the taxi fares for you and carting around your girls. The casa accommodations are relatively reasonable at 25 CUC a day but you can easily spend 20 to 60 CUC a day when you want to go and play.

The best advice I can give others is to learn some Spanish and if not you, like myself, will be a distant last place when it comes to the P4 P scene and your enjoyment factor. Fortunately my partner Americano573 speaks great Spanish and he took concern for me for the best possible enjoyment that I had with the girls.

The second best advice is do not trust anyone in Cuba as they ALL are out to get something from you. There are scams in every crevice of Havana's P4 P scene especially when it comes to taxi and restaurant meals and girls. I have been in many places in the world and I saw first hand how well they play the scam games. I saw first hand all the BS that goes on at the music / dance clubs. After one visit I will never step foot in these places ever again. The girl prices are absurd and frankly beyond ruin.

In my stay I enjoyed the company of about 5 girls a with a few hand picked by my friend. These were from other areas of Cuba so they were low volume provincial girls. I would argue that the vast majority of girls from Havana are spoiled and ruined because of the way some guys throw money at them. So yes IMHO you must get out of Havana to have any real enjoyment other than just a quick short term experience.

So would I recommend Cuba? Will I return? I could only recommend outside Havana and only if you speak some Spanish and are clever and have some "game" to you. This is not a Tijuana experience where you walk into Hong Kong bar and see a hundred very willing and doable Latin girls for $60-$80 no you have to work at your Cuban experience. I would only return if I would spend my time outside of Havana and if I spoke Spanish or had a great wingman as I did.

In summary I am glad I had the experience and adventure of seeing a new place. Cuba is a place that you must see at least once in your life if not for the P4 P scene but also for the country and friendly people. Not once did I feel threatened, hassled yes but in danger no! BTW I was never hassled like we get hassled in Tijuana at the bars, at most one tenth of what we endure in Tijuana.

As a very general guideline, the farther East and South you go in Cuba, the more the people tend to be of African descent. Guys that like Negritas should head to Santiago (again Santiago, Cuba not Santiago, DR). Guys that like Blancas are better off in the West / North in a mid-sized town like Santa Clara or Pinar del Rio.

I am not the least bit concerned. I am not expecting anything but to make the best out of the time I am there. I book a flight to Dr just in case I'm very disappointed. The last time Cuba really impressed me. I want a repeat but I AM Not over paying for it.

Just arrived home from Havana and basically there is nothing exciting going on.

The chica scene is dead unless your into the late night disco club scene and nothing spectacular is happening there either.

Some advice for first time travelers:

* Havana is expensive when you take into consideration the quality of what your getting.

* Prices are increasing in anticipation of arrival of American tourists.

* $100 US will convert to 87 Cuban Convertible pesos at major hotels (13% Haircut).

* Poor food except in local paladars.

* Internet is extremely slow..

I agree to these observations from Adinga. Except the payment for the girls. 50 or 60 cuc does not make any difference if you fly from the other part of the globe to Cuba and sweating your balls off in the infernal heat in Havana haggling for 10 CUC. If you like the girl pay what she asks. 50,60,70 or 80, who gives a fuck if you are on vacation. As the Spanish say "el tiempo es oro!" Unless they ask 150 CUC for 1 hour like one moron average looking hooker in hotel Melia Cohiba's lobby bar. Well if you have the money, then rock out with your cock out.

I would like to add one thing to Adinga's list which is a major letdown in Cuba. Namely the goddamn hide and seek game with the police. This crap is a true mood killer and makes the mongering awkward and far less enjoyable. I did not remember this shit when I booked my flights to Cuba.

Cuba is maybe worth visiting once if you have max 2-3 hours flight to get there. And if you like Salsa and / or Cigars it is a good country to go. Otherwise I would not recommend Cuba to anyone unless you are a veteran punter with Spanish skills. Brazil or Colombia in SA are better places for the hobby. Better infrastructure, better food, equal or better looking putas who don't have to hide or run to the hills when seeing a cop. Euro and Dollar are now strong against Brazilian Reais.
