In Havana, most of the girls who are seeking financial help, range from 18 to 20. Younger girls (18. 19) usually hang out with groups of friends in local restaurants, parks, or even tourist places. The ones seen at tourist places, are usually looking for tourists. At discos, you will also find younger girls, in fact, I never encounter someone over 22 at those discos. I posted my opinion on this in the Cienfuegos thread several weeks ago (Aug 6th) , I hope you read that. My main bit of advice would be to ask around until you find a casa owner willing to allow visitors. I have a negative personal experience to share that I don't think I have on this site. Several years ago, I stayed at Casa Loly, which is just around the corner from the Capitolio in Centro Havana. She is a retired English teacher. Anyway, she went on an on with rules on staying at her place, including NO CHICAS. Anyway, I was not planning on bringing a chica there, since I don't monger much in Havana, and I tend to prefer older women who frequently have their own place.

Long story short, a friend of mine flies into Cuba 10 days later, stays in Havana for one night before flying onto Santiago where I was. I recommended that he stay at Casa Loly, which he did. Anyway, we meet in Santiago and he tells me she explicitly told him she had no problem with him bringing a chica to the casa, although for the record, he did not the one night he was in Havana. So this woman has one set of rules for one guest, and another set of rules for another 10 days later.

It was almost certainly due to the fact that I am a black man and my buddy who flew in later is Hispanic / Latino. Needless to say, I have never recommended her casa to others. Es Cuba.

I am not surprised. I can tell you this, Cuba, primarily an Afro-Cuban country, holds on to some very racist notions. In most cases, these ideas are benign and do not take on the form we are accustomed to in the USA –past and present- (see http://www.cnn.com/US/9807/06/dragging.death.02/index.html) but it is real and ever present, at times subtle, and other times, not so subtle. I find it silly, however, given their multi-racial DNA. I just sum it up as another form of self-hatred.

I've heard one of the biggest problem of mongering in Cuba is the take home of the girls due to laws that don't allow hotel / casas to have that in house. Any advise?

AliBar, somewhere in the middle of Havana next to a Rapido / gas station. Ask people around the malecon, they should know where it is. Didn't see any gringo when I was there earlier this month BUT the quality is not something to my taste.

When I was in Havana, I stayed a few nights at the Melia hotel, one of the largest and best hotels in the city. There was always a security person by the elevators so sure, officially, no girls in the rooms. However, the front doorman, once he got to have a few casual conversations with me, actually offered to get girls for me and that for a tip (forgot the amount but it was quite reasonable I think) , he would organize everything among his crew so that the girl would be brought up to my room without any problems.

I also stayed a few nights just down the street from this hotel at a casa particular apartment in a multifloor building. I casually asked the owner, a middle age woman, about the possibility of bringing a guest back. I normally would not ask but for some reason, I decided to take the chance of asking her without offending her. Without any hesitation on her part, she said that it wouldn't be any problem as long as it was done quietly.

So unofficially, there are no issues as long as you are talking to the right people. And there will be a LOT of the right people since they need the business. Casas need the business too because the owners now pay for licenses and if they do not get any clients, it really hurts financially for them.

It's basically all about getting in and out of Havana with the highest volume available for the dollars brought. This is not to say you can't find some great girls in this search. You also are eating at less expensive restaurants and haggling here and there. But for a reasonable amount of money, you can bag quite a few hot Cuban girls. There are a lot of moving pieces in this monger model. It almost always has a mishap or two.

There are are also guys who have some cash and wish to increase the comfort level a little by adding a few bucks to the price. This can be fun if you can do it. It means you have a nice casa with a pool to hang out during the day with chicas. It means you can rent a car and not wait for taxis, or have to argue with every single taxi that tries to gouge you. You also get to go to La Fontana instead of Jazz cafe. It seems Mr. H fits this profile more than the first.

Does this mean a girl making 60cuc will fuck you better in the 300cuc per day villa than she would in a 35cuc apartment? I doubt it.

But somewhere on this forum there started a contest to see who could spend the least while on a mongering vacation. And guys started becoming angry with other members who did things like buy the girl food, or give her a tip.

If you think you're going to 'set the price' by insulting guys who pay 70cuc, you're silly. Countering the Europeans with the 40cuc hardline is like blowing in a straw to stop a hurricane.

What places like La Cecelia and Salon Rojo do is concentrate all of your consumer goods in one place so you can view the available products next to each other. This service costs a little more. If you don't like this option, don't insult the guys who do. Walk over to La Rampa and cruise the strip there. Walk down the Malecon and find a less expensive option. Or better yet, start studying time travel and go back to 1998, when starving girls would fuck you for toiletries and dinner.

I've done both of these options many times. And while I certainly prefer the latter. I've still had a good time with the former. All depends on what my situation is at the time.

Making statements and comments like this show that you either have never been to Havana or have not been there in at least ten years. I guarantee you there is not a single girl in Salon Rojo who will go for 30 CUC; MAYBE you could beat down a girl to 50 CUC if she is desperate enough, but she would not be happy with that and would probably reward you with a half ass performance. Do you understand that the girls in Salon Rojo have to pay 10-15 CUC to get in AND have to consume at least 5 CUC worth of beverages otherwise they get kicked out? Also they pay for a taxi to get to Salon Rojo, so basically they invest about 25-30 CUC just for the possibility to get a John for the night. I laugh when others complain about paying 70 CUC for an all night deal with a late teens / early twenties smoking hot Cubana.

As for the car the rate I paid is the rate on the REX website and is non-negotiable for the Audi A4 I rented. Why would I want to wait around for a taxi driver to come pick me up when I can have a nice car sitting in my driveway, waiting outside the nightclub, etc waiting to to take me anywhere I want to go at a moment's notice? The standard rate for a top shelf three bedroom private house in Siboney with pool, servants, etc is 300 CUC per night. There are several websites that demonstrate this and there is obviously high demand for this level of accommodations because I have never been able to get the same house twice as they are always booked solid.

There is clearly a high end experience available to mongers with means in Havana that drives the NMG's (no money guys) crazy with envy. If you think that 300 CUC day / 3 people. 200 CUC day / 3 people is expensive for a comfortable and absolutely hassle free (which is not easy to come by in Cuba) vacation then I suggest that you quit your job at Wal Mart and go back to school so you can enjoy some of the niceties that life offers.

I have crossed the street to stop a woman and ask for directions in Cuba, and then asked her to walk me to the place although I had a copy of Lonely Planet Cuba in my hands. It was in Santiago, and I wanted to get to the Padre Pico steps. By the time she left me at the steps, we had agreed to meet later on that evening.

I don't get it, why is it a joke? The virgin part is unlikely but hey I wasn't there, it's possible. Sometimes you do get a fresh girl who desperately needs money. I spent 4 days with a girl from some small town outside of Havana and gave her 20 CUC and some things I brought with me. She wasn't a virgin but surely never done anything like this before. I met her brother by accident and he hooked me up.

I never stay in a hotel so I don't know about 5 cuc / day. But seems plausible.

The key is to get the hell out of Havana and ask local guys if they can hook you up with someone who is not a pro.

Rock Harders, thanks for a the great idea to quit my Walmart job and go to school. I actually did go to school but I still can't afford lavish lifestyle you have. If you can afford spending that much money, why go to Cuba? Try maybe Brazil or Colombia? Less hustle for sure and quality can be better if you are willing to spend that much.

I will look like a schmuck offering 40 CUC in Casa de la Musica after you went there. And yes, chicas have to pay 5 cuc to get in and all that. The key is to approach them towards the end of the night when it's clear they have almost zero chance of hooking up with someone. They would rather make 20 CUC than leave being in the whole 10 CUC.
