Salon Rojo is close to Habana Libre, 5 min walk, Habana Libre Disco (El Turquino of course is close, it is in Habana Libre).

Cecilia is 8 to 10 CUC taxi drive, it is in Miramar, 5ta avenida. Casa de La Musica Miramar about 5-7CCUC taxi drive, also in Miramar, but much closer.

Entrance to Cecilia is 5-10cuc (unless there is a concert then 15-20cuc), to Salon Rojo really depends on whether there is a concert, during the week also 5-10cuc. Turquino and Casa de la musica miramar, I think 10cuc.

Drinks in La Cecilia are quite a bit cheaper than in the others. A bottle of Habana Club blanco is 15cuc in Cecilia and about 30cuc in Salon Rojo.

Where to stay? The places to go out are really dispersed, still most of them in Vedado and Miramar. I always stay in Centro Habana not so far from vedado, as you are more in a neighbourhood with many people on the street.

Also rich cubans go to Cecilia and Salon Rojo (don't know the other two). I would suggest taking her to a concert of regueton/salsa, you have to check before where, the places always differ, check this website with weekly updates, http://www.Salsamania. It/habanacuba...habanacuba.htm, or again ask a cab driver in front of a big disco.

Cheap discos with only cubans are not very popular among girls, The philosophy is that if you are with a yuma and he can pay it, you are not going to look for trouble in a cheap disco with only cubans meaning bronca (fights). I don't really agree that only cubans=bronca, but this is how most girls think.

For a cuban place that is quiet and not cheap, try el Don Cangrejo (taxi drivers will know, somewhere in miramar). For a mostly cuban place with lots of regueton, try El Jhony, also in miramar (just after crossing the tunnel from Vedado). If you like salsa, 1830 (in the weekend), but be prepared to see lots of european females.

- I know where Hotel Libre is, are the above far from hotel libre, and far from each other? Is it a walking distance, if by taxi how much will it cost?

- what are the entrance fee for the above places and how much is a beer cost?

- I would like to frequent discos often at night and don't want to take lot of taxis, what are the area I should be staying at? Vedado, Centre Havana or old havana

- I assume the above discos all are for p4p, if I would like to take a regular girl to a disco, which disco will you recommend, don't want to take my friend to the p4p places.

The area of Inglaterra is quite a mess. With so many cameras down there, what do you think would be the reason why these girls can strike deals with yumas relatively open?

A (female) friend who lives down there told me that in the barrio of Colon (basically the area from Inglaterra to the Malecon) a large chunk of the jineteras are drugs addicted. But of course you also have girls from the East there, who rent a room and try to make a living.

Ya, generally speaking, the two things that get you in deep shit is

1. drugs, why the fuck do you want to try drugs in a country where no one can afford them and the penalties harsh ? Too often it is a set up.

My experience around the Inglaterra is that there is alot to be had all along either side.....bars, homes, restaurants and the park.

If you come out of the Inglaterra Hotel and take your first right (walking along the street next to the hotel as it were) after about 50 meters you will see a bar with a load of girls hanging outside. The bar is called Nautilus. The girls were maybe 7's to 8's but really quite nice and maybe 10 girls in total. It was completely obvious and quite out in the open. OK, interesting). I want to go home at around midnight. I walk along the malecon back to my casa as it is safest there. No plans, just get sleep to prepare for tomorrow. But that changes when I start talking to a girl end 20s belonging to a group of two more girls and two guys. The guys leave and I propose to go somewhere for la locura (crazy things). We take some cab and after driving around a bit we find finally a room where we can all stay together. These are two sisters and their cousin. They hit my bottle of anejo reserva rum pretty hard. Coming from a Miami native(yes there are a few), we have a saying here that MOST women from other countries rot in customs. In other words once they get in they totally change and become rotten just like the native women. In spanish it sound mush better "Se pudren en la aduana". I'll have been intel from other guys who have recently married Cubans soon. One other example I do know from Montreal is that there has been a success story with one couple for over ten years. Yes, like many couples domestically, there was a glitch at mid-point where she left Canada and went back to Cuba. But she came back shortly and like I said, they celebrated their 10th anniversary. Of course, this is probably not the norm.

For us here in Canada, we might be able to get a visitors visa for a Cubana. If there is potential, one could bring a lady up to Canada on a trial basis and our Canadian winter will most certainly weed out those who are not as genuine.

Unless you get married, the chance of the Canadian Embassy giving a visa to a girl you have just met during a couple of trips is next to none.

They just assume that the Cuban will head to the US border the first chance they get (and this will probably happen for any Cuban girl who agrees to go to Canada with you after only seeing each other a few times). I've seen it many times to guys who got married and then took them to Canada.
