Yes, I always post my reports. Past ones on Costa Rica, Tijuana and Berlin. Also lived in Montreal for a few years so posted my local adventures there too. But definitely will post on my first trip to Cuba when I get back.

You walk into galleria paseo and the security guy says hola, then once you pass him, he does kind of a reverse whistle to alert the wolves. Only problem is, not one of those girls in the stairwells has ever been worth taking. I've had better luck in Jazz cafe itself.

Thanks everyone for all your advice so far. Everything will probably come together once I'm down there. What still confuses me a bit is if I meet somebody say on the street or even in a bar, I've read that the girls should follow you rather than walk with you on the streets so that the cops won't hassle her. IF not within walking distance back to the casa, then I hear about the girl and us having to take separate cabs again to avoid the cops.

Then once at a casa, for the owners who require registration of girls, are they going to do this even during the middle of the night? Won't they be sleeping, particularly for casas that have separate entrances (which the casa I booked has)? This part gets a bit complex too.

Then of course there's the language issues. I'm learning basic phrases to get through but I can't see myself hang out with a girl all night and even part of the day if she doesn't know much English and my Spanish vocabulary will run out within minutes.

Hit or miss. I had the best experience with the most beautiful blonde there once. I even got a couple of hours in a suite for $50.00. I have never seen anything that compares again, I thought it was to good to be true. It's worth a shot to go check out the lobby bar for a couple of drinks.

In any case, wonder if it's possible to hook up with ladies for daytime afternoon liasons for say two hours rather than all nighters in Havana. I know that this was certainly possible down in Costa Rica but don't know if in Cuba, it's always an all nighter type of thing.

You can get a girl for 2hs, 1hr, 30 mins, all night, all week, whatever you want. Everything is negotiable in Havana. I'm a big fan of the "afternoon snack" as it makes for a more relaxed night out later on.

It's a building a couple blocks from the Cohiba with a bunch of casa particulars. Other decent casas are farther than that in that area.
