Also agree 100%, you need to find a regular girl and work out a deal with her that for every friend intro, you will compensate her some way or another. A few problems however, you need speak spanish and I mean cuban spanish and many times the friends they bring along are just not doable. I've used this strategy many times, until I've exhusted a bario then it's time to move on to next one.

I agree with you that Spanish is a necessity and it also helps to have a car. I have also turned down more than I've been with like you say. My technique is for them to call me when they have a friend and I tell them I'm busy but I can pass by to meet the friend. If she is doable, I make the time; if not, I say another day because I'm busy. I am very clear on the "type" of girl I want and don't ask them to bring just any old friend. After you turn down a couple they get the idea pretty quickly they can't pass off just anyone.
