Alan, I might be wrong but I doubt that those women, having sex with foreigners in Cuba, are university educated, well, maybe a couple of them are. And even if they were, there's no such a thing as "sex education" in Cuba. Besides, if they were that educated, they wouldn't be having sex with men who go from country to country to have sex.

It's not easy finding anal sex in Havana. This is mostly because almost all of the girls have a university education and understand the dangers of overexposure to this form of pleasure.

I am going to Cuba for the first time in mid-December with two friends, and I understand that there are no girlfriendly Hotels in Cuba. We have booked a Hotel for the first nights, the plan is to move into a "Casa particular" after a couple of days.

I would be glad to receive recommendations both for Casas and nice areas in Havana. A friend told me about a few hotspots (some Years ago) called Copacabana Club, Marina and Commandore. These places still in business?

man,

in general (compared to any other country) cubans are all literate. their internet skills are restricted to students and those who use computers as part of work. this is not an issue of lack of academia, rather a lack of money and equipment, not forgetting unfettered access.

there are no internet cafes as we would understand the term, there are however public access internet points in the library and almost every hotel in havana, fees vary, as do connection speeds.

i would recommend just about every hotel in havana, they are all ok, offering the guest many wonderful features. however, as you will see from historical posts: hotels are not chica friendly!!! if you still want a hotel, just go online, do a search for havana+hotel and you can book rooms very easily. i would suggest a casa particular if you are going on your own: ask any taxi driver when you exit the airport and you will be able to get some really nice choices this time of year.

Since it is your first time and you are going next week you are probably best to stay at least one night in a hotel and look for a casa particular for the remainder of your visit. I once read on this forum that you must have a licensed casa or a hotel to stay at when you present yourself to customs officials. The last time I went I did not have time to get a response to casa requests so I just filled in the Hotel Inglaterra on the Customs form and stayed there the first night. I had a wonderful casa arranged by 10:00 the following morning.

Regarding internet, there are not as many as other places but they are available. The one I used was on Obispo in the heart of the tourist area of old Havana.
