    Holguin and Camaguey

Having gotten no response to my query about these two eastern cities, I was flying blind (mostly) on this trip. I flew into Holguin and stayed at an Airbnb for two nights. The man said "no problem" with having guests as long as they had ID. The city is beautiful and clean but you will have a difficult time finding girls. Before leaving home, I attempted a couple online sites to arrange a hook up with girls but I could not manage the long-term messaging required to land a beauty. So I gave up and relied on my feet. The main city park is filled with families and kids. I saw one pair of girls who approached me but they were both unattractive and probably illegal. There is another more "happening" square called Plaza de Marqueta a block or two away. This is a great place to sit and sip a beer while looking at the girls walk by. Only problem is, there are no girls passing by. Well, no single girls. I had one exchange with a drunk non-pro who was a bit too old for me. The only other meaningful conversation I had was with a Trans woman who could have earned a good living as a NFL linebacker. I declined their offer. There are some great bars in Holguin and often all I need is a cold beer and a nice view. I spent many hours walking around, between the parks, and saw no girls plying the trade. If you are adept at the online dating sites, then more power to you. Otherwise, you won't see any girls walking around. My reason for flying in to Holguin was to go to Guardalavaca beach. This is a beautiful beach and, if you can avoid the Canadians with their families, quite relaxing. It's not much of a town. I did find a small, local area where locals come to eat and gossip. Off the beaten path. I spent some time there drinking, but I saw no available women. There is an all night bar near the beach but, again, no women. Limited food choices, but a few nice restaurants up on the hill to the left. As has been mentioned, in a town like this you need to bring your girl with you. That was the reason I first spent two nights in Holguin, trying to find a partner. Alas, it did not work out for me. So, bottom line, Holguin was quite dry. Peaceful, but lonely.

I then spent 4 nights in Camaguey. Finding transport from Holguin to Camaguey was difficult due to high gas prices. The best taxi price I could find was 200 USD. The taxi from the beach dropped me at Viazul for 50 USD But the bus station looked barren. I did not expect to find transportation because you need to buy your tickets in advance on line or with a card. However, fortune favors the bold. I made my way to the back where the busses were. A man who looked like the driver was checking tickets. He told me the bus was headed to Havana. I asked if I could take it as far as Camaguey. He did not immediately respond. After a period of time I repeated the request and he said, OK. Give me 3000 pesos. (About 10 USD). He found a spot for me on the bus and pocketed the cash. A long bus ride but I made it to Camaguey. The Airbnb said they accepted guests. Two major problems. First, power outages that ran for 8 hours at a stretch. Second was the lack of girls. And it was not because of a heightened police presence. One guy told me that the last mayor arrested all the girls. But that was a year ago, so where were the girls now? Another guy told me that they moved out to the area of the bridge (half way to the Viazul bus station). True, I saw girls there. Most were old and weathered. I got one girl who would have been great but, on the way, she said she had no ID. The house would not have let her in without ID, so back we went. Another blonde girl took her place. Nothing remarkable about her except she was not unattractive. Nothing outstanding, but I was desperate. I asked how much. She said 3000 pesos. That's ten bucks US. Of course I tipped her up to 5 K, but still. I don't imagine she does a lot of work with tourists. She had no personality and was all business. Not attractive enough to repeat. After that I could not find any girls walking around. At one point I did see a pack of three along Republica. Questionable as to their specific gender. As a group they were aggressive and scared me a little, so I did not approach. I saw another small black girl walking solo but, again, she had no ID. So what can you do? I fantasized about the old days when the girls were plentiful. My theory is that, right now, any girl between the ages of 16 and 30 has taken off -- for Havana or for another country -- because there is no work and no money in these remote cities. Also no food, or its too expensive. The cheap pizza place near Parque Agramonte was constantly filled with people buying pizzas. That can't be healthy. The main park (Agramonte) was filled with families and activity, but no girls. The power outages meant the beer was often warm. I eventually got tired of the inconvenience. Also tired of not seeing the kind of girls that Camaguey used to boast. I did reconnect with a number of friends who I love spending time with, so that made the trip partially worth it. I met an expat who spends his winter months in Camaguey with a steady girlfriend and he said that he knew a guy who could find me a girl. But before I could take him up on the offer, it was time to leave.

I found a taxi driver to take me to Havana for 100 USD. Everyone told me it was a steal, and I believe it. This guy had to go to Havana anyway for a part for something, so he wasn't looking to make a fortune. He was able to make it in about 6 and a half hours, which is pretty good.

Summary -- if you are expecting to find sex in Holguin or Camaguey you will need to spend some time there cultivating relationships. And living with the inconvenience of warm beer and power outages takes its toll. The culture may bounce back eventually, but in the near future, I will not return. The only thing I'll say is that having airports in Holguin and Camaguey is very convenient for people who want to go to those beautiful beaches.

    Report continues in Havana thread.

    Holguin? Camaguey?

Anyone been to Holguin or Camaguey lately? Like in the last few months? I am wondering if they have rebounded yet from the serious power outages and other general problems. No AC is a bummer. This was happening on two visits last year (spring and summer). Also, shortage of beer. Crystal in particular was hard to find. Also "Action". No girls hanging out in Parque Agramonte in Camaguey. I want to know if the girls have returned. Is there a police presence in either city that keeps the girls at home? It fluctuates, I know. The girls were non existant in Camaguey on my last visit. I love Camaguey but I was bummed at the shortage of beer and girls walking around. So any information on Camaguey or Holguin would be appreciated. I'm heading there in March. Thanks.

You can use a travel agency, try for example Cubamax.

If you rent a car, be sure to check the gasoline level in the tank.

You could be lucky due to the shortage of tourists, but be prepared to wait for your car to be delivered.

And the most important thing: do not have an accident!

    Going to Holguin in January

I have seen several Holguin Province chicas listed in Badoo and EstoyCerca. Could a casa owner or a taxi driver also be of assistance? I don't drink and I don't like clubs. My plans would be to ask the chica to demonstrate how ordinary Cubans live, see historical sites, enjoy good cuisine, etc. I would be totally OK paying for her to have a separate room in her own name as long as I get a key to it for nocturnal visits.

Are chicas allowed into Cayo Saetia for some of the tourist activities such as the animal safari and the beach?

I'm looking for age 18-22 and not street-worn.

I was there a few times in 2016 -2017. It was a lot of police there. Some difficulties to communicate with chica. It is possible to find casa without registration but it is difficult too.

    Trinidad

You can find some info about Trinidad in my previous report here:
    http://www.internationalsexguide.nl/...=1#post2150238
The info is still valid, as I was there one month ago (March 2019).
About mongering there, well I'm sorry to say it will be very hard. You would need to live there to have time to find. There are NO P4 P places, and believe me, I tried. I stayed around 2 months at Trinidad. So I prefer to give you some useful intel about visiting.
If you go to the beach (playa Ancon) take a taxi at the Cubatur crossroads and ask to go to Coco bar, that's the best part of the beach where you can stay (as a non client of the hotels, main part of the beach is reserved to them, but you can stay near Coco Bar place). Good enough it's the best part IMHO.
Best breakfast, and quality / price ratio is at the restaurant ADITA, in the same corner of Cubatur. Same owner of restaurant San Jose, which is very good too, but you'll need to wait at least 30 mn to have a seat, and the food is quite the same quality as Adita, for much more expensive. Actually, Adita was my everyday's canteen. I used to have my breakfast at Adita Cafe, then order for some good sandwich there to take-away for the beach, and voila, the taxi to the beach is waiting just in front of Adita Cafe! At the beach, there is a restaurant near the center of the beach (Ancon Grill). There are tables on the sand, and it's cool to eat there. If you like coffee or honey, Trinidad is the place to buy. One month ago, it was the season of mango tree flowers, and pure honey of mango could be bought. Other month, you could have coffee (flowers) honey. They sell it in ron big bottles (40-50 pesos = 2 CUC / bottle). Ask in the streets in the morning around 10 am, especially around the San Procopio street. One disabled old man (wheelchair) sells honey also, near the 583 San Procopio. 100% pure and fresh from the mountains guaranteed. You should also make one excursion in the mountain (Topes de Collantes), you should go to Guayanara Parc, and buy coffee when stopping at the coffee museum: one of the best of the world! Only there you can buy it, and nowhere else (except in Japan where they export it 100% The packs are not fancy, but this is gold inside If you can't go there, buy coffee La Cubita or Serrano in the shops at La Habana (impossible to find at Trinidad! Believe it or not, it will be hard to find! Even at the Habana airport, they don't sell coffee!
A very good casa is hostal Klinsmann.

Matanzas is pretty dead, IMO. There are one or two clubs / discos in penas altas and a couple of bars around the parque de la libertad.

There are no tourists and thus not a big supply of chicas. I've met only one in the street and she was super gross. Didn't even see one in the hip bars, "bar tiempo" and "bar Cuba". Just locals having fun.

I think it's more of a town to find a local girl. For instance, I got talking with a couple of grandmas and they more or less all offered up their granddaughters. I also got talking to bar girls and waitresses, two of which wanted to take me to a club.

The cool thing about Matanzas is that it's dirt cheap. But it's also pretty dead. People just pass through on their way to Havana or Varadero.

A good stating point is Airbnb and look at the owner's rules on their apartment / house. If you are still are not sure ask them.
