On the contrary, it is a very common arrangement. It is called paying a "salida" (means "exit"). It is payable to the proprietor of a business as compensation if you arrange to take one of his employees off-site during her normal working hours.

There is a third way.

1. Book a trip.

2. A week or so before your trip, start your DC search.

3. Line up 2-3 non-pros to meet. But don't get to know any of them all that well.

4. When you meet, just treat it like a date.

In other words, use DC to screen out those you are not interested in. Use the dates to find someone you are interested in.

IMHO: if they think you are highly invested in advance, they will try to cash out early. Think about it from their end. They don't know whether you are going to visit regularly or once. If once, they want to get as much out of the exchange as possible in that one visit. Of course, their off-putting behavior makes it more likely that you only visit them once. But they'd rather be safe than sorry.

Don't worry about getting laid. It will happen. In my experience, if a girl meets a foreigner for a date, the odds that she will sleep with him on the first night are greater than fifty percent. I would give her DC ID number to somebody you know and see what transpires after contact, Don't assume that the figures you have mentioned will be the last word. Most likely additional requests for hairdresser, nails, care for kids or mother, food supplies for home while she is away will follow. Plus the real possibility of a no show after collecting goods.

I have gotten this so much that I no longer even listen to this. If you want a good piece of advice you need to cut your loses. Whatever you spent on this woman take it as a learning experience and move on. There are attractive women in Sosua, Santo Domingo, and even at Blackbeards. Even if you overpaid by twice as much it still will be cheaper than the money you are dishing out for this DC chica. She cannot be more attractive than a Santo Domingo casa chica who charges 4000 DOP (and I find this to be overpriced, but still cheaper than the DC chica you are talking about). If you need some hand holding Blackbeards is the way to go. It is a controlled, safe environment and you have people all around who can translate for you (they will even pick you up at the airport). This is the best bet when you have serious doubts. I would leave that DC woman alone. Stop sending her money. Please do not be offended and this is just my take. I usually hangout on the north coast, but I think I will switch it up and try BC this time around. I have gone through the last two years of the forum. There are consistent recommendations for the Hotel Garant and one recommendation for Hotel Batey from a trusted member. I assume both are guest-friendly. Any hotels I should avoid?

I prefer to meet non-pros via DC. Some good girls have refused to meet me in Sosua because of its reputation. Should I expect the same in BC?

Hotel Batey has upgraded and even one time asked me to sign in my girl at the front Desk. At first they were trying to deny her. That she blew me away. I haven't been back there since. Hotel Garant is conveniently located however over price if you ask me. They are very clean. But don't use your credit card. They charge her extra 18% on all rooms. And they charge 18+20% on kitchen purchases with card. Ocean breeze GIFs free breakfast and has nice rooms for $55. A few more motels I'll try to remember the names and repost.

The answer to your next question is yes. Some girls will not come to Boca Chica. Hell some chicas here refuse to walk on the strip or Avoid it at night.

Please don't expect the quality, quantity, and accessibility you fine on the north coast. Some people complain and other adjust. And there are those of us that adapt. Sounds like you are trying to do that.

Welcome back! I was there two weeks ago and just miss a rainy week. Rain wasn't a problem until Sunday when the beach was packed prior to a national holiday. The old Jamaican restaurant is gone. However, A new German restaurant has replaced it. It looks promising.

Thanks! The restaurant is Swiss even if the menu is German. The owner flies the white cross in the red field and as I learned over the years here many German speaking Swiss nationals don't seem too kind to the Fatherland. The prices appear to be fair and I will try it this week. Will post.

The X-ray machines were down so nobody objected to the 80 pounds of assorted food and tools that I brought with me. The fingerprints check has already been in place for a long time and in my opinion does not really slow down the line. January has again been a very rainy month and it seems the trend continues this month. Not that long ago this was the dry season. The beach since the evictions of many "figones" looks a little cleaner and better. Dollar is back at 48.50 and regular gas a very high $4. 52/ gallon.
