They're wild-walk around some of the streets like (I think it's) Rodregiuz up the hill from the park, Toward Mozarts and watch them fly by day and night. Its safer to take a motococho-those guys are pros.

The chicas I know who have scooters (called pasolas) bring the scooters into their homes, so they don't get stolen. One concern with a scooter or motorcycle rental is protecting it from not getting stolen. At Boca Chica beach, not many areas I can remember where you can park a car or a scooter and keep an eye on it while you are at the beach in the water. Juan Dolio public beach I can see my rental car while I am in the water at the beach (important if I arrive early into DR and drive to the beach from the airport with my luggage in the car, some hotels check-in is 3pm).

A scooter or motorcycle is much easier to steal, a few guys can pick it up and throw into the back of a pickup truck. You might have to wear a helmet when you ride. AMET enforces the helmet law occasionally and can give you a ticket and take the scooter or motorcycle, if you are not wearing a helmet. Many, many people ride without helmets.

Try to have protection for your eyes, if you do decide to ride.

Road surface (asphalt) was good on the roads I saw in boca chica.

You can ride a scooter in BC easily enough if you know how to handle one, but be aware that there are a few very steep hills and in rainy weather the surface can be very slick with dead leaves and deep puddles in the dips. You do not want to slam on the brakes when going up a steep hill and have the front wheel come off the ground and you go over backwards. From a traffic point of view it is OK, not like Santo Domingo, but if you go out on the highway to go down to the megamarket, you will probably breathe a few diesel fumes mixed with dust. There are plenty of motoconchos in BC.

There should be no reason to ride a scooter in BC. Everything (and that is not much) is only a 2 minute walk from each other.

Also, just curious, is toda la noche (all night) available in Boca Chica? What is the price, I see the standard is about 1000-1500 for I assume short time?
Yes 1000 to 2000 is ST. Of course all night is available but generally experienced mongers wouldn't be interested anyway. Not that theres anything wrong with keeping a chica all night, it's just that it makes no sense to bargain or commit to it before you even really know if you like her or how she performs. If you are having a good time you can always invite her to stay. If she's having a good time it probably won't cost much extra. If either of you are not having a good time, having asked her to stay in advance is a potential problem.

If you already know the chica and know you want her all night 1500 to 3000 would be about right...but since she knows you it might be nothing if she has hopes of being a novia.

Pictures make it look like a decent place.

Has anyone stayed there? Any feedback you can give would be good.

Also I Tropical Garden looks like a decent place for the price however the site I found it on says it is good family atmosphere so I am wondering if it is chica guest friendly. It is a hotel / apartment type place meaning they have both. I assume with an apartment it would not be a problem with girls but it is inside the hotel and it is family atmosphere maybe it is not guest friendly.

    Anyone stayed there?

A buddy and I going down next week. We are looking for ideally a 2 bedroom apartment with AC, a full or queen size bed per room.

    Any recommendations?
You don't mention for how long. I'd recommend booking a 2br suite at costalunga for a couple days and checking out some of your other options yourself. It's a small walkable town. Costalunga is one of the few consistently recommended fully chica friendly hotels.

    Fish

I did some diving in Boca Chica the other morning. When I finished I went on the street behind Duarte (San Rafael) to buy fish from one of the booths as I have always done. The reason being is that I have never had to worry about the scams they try to pull on the beach. That day was different though.

I told the guy at the first booth that I wanted fish and tostones. I asked him how much it would be and he told me not to worry about it. I said okay cool. His little girl asked me if I wanted something to drink. I had her bring me a Coke from the store. I sat down and ate and afterwards I asked the guy how much I owed. He said 600. All I could do was laugh. I said okay, how much do I really owe you? He said 600 pesos. I said dude this is not my first time here. I come here all the time and buy fish at these booths. By then there was a lady working the booth as well and he directed me to her. She said 600 as well and I jumped in her shit. Then she changed the price to 500. I said look lady. I usually pay 200 which is already too much in my opinion. But since that little girl went and got a drink for me I will make it 300. She shook her head no. I put the money on the table and put the salt shaker on top to stop it from blowing away and I walked off.

Again, read my post regarding the Zapata, would not stay anywhere else.

They have a few rules about the gals, but when it comes to security, quiet, and guest friendly, I would highly recommend the Zapata.

I have El Candil, Costalunga, Garrant and a few others. The important things for me are the A / C (it will be hot in Easter) , security, guest friendly and quite. And not too far, I hate those motos.

I think El Candil is a good option but I read in some old reports that the guard and receptionist sometime milk mongers for propina for bringing in chicas. Anyone has recent info and can recommend a place it is appreciated.
