I have plenty to learn from someone with your experience in the DR. Zepplin, any chance you will be in town over the holiday? I do just fine on my own, but it is always fun to meet new people, and hear of their experiences.

I see there hasn't been any postings from BC for awhile. I am headed back for my third trip next Friday for a long weekend, actually 5 days. I have rented a car this time in order to be able to tour a little more of the island at my leisure, and to steer clear of the motoconchos for a change. No matter how many times I ride on them, I always feel a little shaky when I arrive at my destination. If anybody has parking or driving advice, I am always willing to listen. I'm planning on taking a day or two to drive around, maybe head up North just to see the sights. Of course, I also plan to spend plenty of time just hanging at the Playa Vista, my favorite place in town, but I plan to see more this trip.

If anyone is planning on being in town, PM me, lets meet up for drinks or lunch/dinner, and to compare war stories. I will be staying at the Costa Lunga again, and taking some of my own towels and a drinking glass or two. I wouldn't mind having a wingman familiar with the island when I drive up North if anybody is interested. Or, if somebody can recommend a trustworthy local guide for hire, who is ok with the P4P scene, that is another option I've considered. I'm not interested in hanging out with the local "pimps" or "translators" that try to set you up with girls they "know", then take a cut of the action. My Spanish is good enough to get around the country and get what I need.

Just returned from 5 days in BC. Stayed at the (one and only) apartment at Playa Vista... which I found to be very satisfactory.
I've been going to BC for 3 years now, and here are my observations regarding the destination's current state.
- For daytime mongers (like myself), little has changed. Just have a seat at any decent beach bar, and you'll be approached by (one average) one chica (in the 4-7 range) per hour. Bring a good book and an open mind.
- Shot-time action (an hour or so) is easily had for $500-900RD.
- At night, there's still some action to be had on Duarte... but MUCH less than a year ago at this time. My best experience this trip, however, was with a 30 year old Haitain met at the on-street cappucino place at 10pm (1 delightful hour, 1000 pesos).
- The disco, Burbujas, opens at 11pm and is often packed with a variety of attractive (and quite agressive) chicas. Not my kind of scene, but would probably be fun for a monger who tolerates loud music and crotch grabbing for extended periods of time. I personally found it exhausting.

And did I mention BC was fucking HOT in August?

Hey Eric for the first time there are fewer worse hotels you can choose unless you rent a car and still choose to stay at Joker. And renting a car is the most uneccesary and risky practice nest to unprotected nooky. You are not saving enough to justify it - try the ones listed, Costalunga, Candil, Caucho. You are miles from anything, noisy and a drag to get girls to go back to, even on a motochonce.

I've put in 3 nights at The Joker and it's a nice, inexpensive place to stay, pool and privacy; however, you will be far from the action. If you have a car, it's not a problem, but if you're on foot or on motoconcho, you'll get tired (more like scared) of the trek to town, traveling up and down Las Americas highway. There is a lot of traffic on Las Americas and it's very dangerous, especially at night. Also, if your room is situated near the highway, you're going to hear a lot of traffic all day and all night.

I'm glad 2 here things are picking back up in BC. My last time there was in NOV 04 and I saw the scene going to hell slowly then. During that time I was going to Barbujas and there were only 6 girls in there. Seems that everytime one disco techa shuts down they just move it up the street.From what I recall the club is sorta small though. Steps w/ a small dancefloor on the left and a bar and few tables downstairs. Do any of the girls linger outside like they once did on Duarte? How different is the atmosphere there now? The Politur shouldnt have any reason to harass the girls now. My last stay I managed to bag 4 girls from Duarte 2 from the capital and 1 from the strip club comin into BC. The cost. Duarte 800-1200. All 7 and up by my own standards (and I can be really picky guys). Girls from the captol came from Henry's they can always be had for 5-800 short time on premises. They can leave premises for the same amount. Quality there is inconsistent. You just have to sit and fish for awhile. Strip clup girl was 2200. That was after hard bargaining. She wanted 3000. As a service to us all I sharply replied hell no! She was gorgeous though. Saw I wasnt some dumb gringo(but gringo nonetheless) and agreed upon the mentioned rate for 2hrs. Forgive me for paying so much guys but you know how it goes. She stayed for 3 though. Gave Salon Blanco a try. Good quality 7 and 8s then. 2000 carry out. Bargaining with el jefe a must. Couldve gotten a better deal maybe but had my eye on a chick I saw on the net named Dianne. She had just began working there. She made good talk like she didnt want to be in the business etc. Ironically enough I come home to find her pics on a cite of one of my friends runs. Go figure. I wish I could find love in the DR. I guess thats about as likely as gas dropping to 1.50 a gallon. With that I will say. Trust your mind not your heart and keep those prices low guys!

Just came back from Boca and the news is good. I won`t bullshit people and say there are 10s running around all over the place but there are a ton of girls. Plenty of daytime action, about 5 and 6s, price 500 to 700 pesos 20 or thirty bucks.The girls are all over the place just walking around. At night the place to be is Burburjas. Get there early at 11. Or else the good ones go home or are taken. But still there will be plenty there. They will come up to you entice by a free lap dance.Good ones at Bur. cost 1000 to 1500 pesos thats around 40 to sixty bucks. Not gorgous but good 20 us.To Tom sorry I missed you.Oh yeah jet black Hatians with great bodies are almost always 20.

It is my second day in Boca. Staying at the condo carey. Last night at aroud seven picked up a street girl brought her back to my apartment and she did not have proper i.d. The guard would not let her in she went ballistic. A good thing or maybe she would of been trouble. Then there was a girl who hangs out at the apartment.Not too pretty but great body. Good short time action, one pop 500 pesos. Then that night went to bulbujurs , at the end of duarte.This is where the good ones are.Pretty and clean looking. A good amouny of mongers. But I started to feel tired and called it a night. Stay away from the street girls, they are criminal like. It is shaping up to be pretty good.

Go to Santo Domingo strips clubs Jazzys, Monaco, Sutra. Don't go to Doll House or house of Doll (malecon). There is a bar rigth next to the Hotel Napolitano called Venezia. I found a 2-3 girls in the scale 1-10 were 9. There are 3 bars behind Hotel Jaragua: Lapsus, Taboo, 1-A. Yell me can you still find a 8 or 9 in Boca Chica?

ON THE GO, I agree with you, 500 pesos is the maximum for a short time , and 1000 pesos it's a good price for the night.

Last time I was in Boca Chica, I have overpay, and more for a bad service. The Dominican girls exagerate prices in DR, we have to say no when it's to expensive without regret!!.

The salary for one month in DR for an employee is 4500-6000 pesos roughly for the information.

And after when the girl want more money, if you say no, you have a bad moment!!

I am in Boca right now, my first day. It is not what is use to be. It has expanded and become too chaotic. but quite a few mongers here. The quality of girls is far very dark and street dirty looking. Some cute one though. Dont know prices yet. Staying at an apartment nice 45 a night large rooms.

A reason Duarte was empty is Politur (tourist police) run the girls off so that you can enjoy a better, safer environment. A few of the girls told me the Politur (white shirts) will not allow them to stand on the sidewalks or in the street in the evenings. However if they are accompanied, then no problem. This is more prevelant on Fri and Sat nights and every night after 11pm.

A few of the previous posts detail the lack of nighttime action.

Now I wish I had gone to the disco, you got a real good price, and the ratio had to have been simply mavelous.

I wouldn't even try to compare BC with any major p4p place in Europe, Asia or South America.

I would put BC along with say a BT in Mexico. I like the NL BT in Mexico but I like BC a helluva lot better.
