Yo dog good post. But when the police get involved in anything, if you can walk away from the situation please do so. The more you interact with the police, you are asking their corrupt asses to play you. If you don't play from the beginning it's no game to be played. Also from the beginning when they are trying to bait you in, always play " dumb gringo". Nothing frustrates a Dominican cop more than a foreigner they can't communicate with. Most times the girls are teamed up with the cops in these hustles, it's the Dominican way. We saw in Cuba how easy it is to fire girls and they go quietly, but in the DR it could lead to major drama. You can't bribe a Boca Chica police officer with just 500 pesos.

I don't recommend paying bribes, but for this offense, the rate is more like 3,000 - 5,000 pesos. Also, if you are going to do it, do it early in the game. Once other cops get involved, it gets too complicated and costly.

I know what this is so I reached in my pocket and pulled out 500 pesos walk to the police officer station and told the police officer that my novia did not start any arguments and I handed the money to him in a handshake.
