I agree. They went all the way over there just to do a "hit piece" on a small beach town already know for what goes on there, disguising their trip as "hey, let's place spin the web browser and see what Groupon pulls up!"

With reviews on everything under the sun these days, there is no way in hell that they did not know what they were getting into. Hell, even Wikipedia could tell you all you needed to know about Boca Chica:

It is August now and I started my research and planning for my February and March vacation three days ago.

It tripped me out that those neophytes were driving, but most of the people from this board are afraid to.

This was my second time in Boca Chica. The first time wasn't great but I thought I would give it a second chance. It is kind of like a broke down Sosua.

Hotel: Gusto Tropical. It was either $40 or $50 a night. Nothing special. No window, but it did have an AC and TV. It takes a while for the AC to work. Best part of the hotel was that when I got into a altercation, the hotel management resolved the situation. That is worth it. Because of that I would want to stay again, but I think if I had to return to BC, I might want to stay at one of the hotels on the beach. This hotel is very close to the beach (1 street away).

Transportation between Boca Chica and Santo Domingo. Take the bus at the park in BC its about $1 US. Make sure to ask for the express bus when you transfer. You will make a transfer but it will easy to tell where you transfer. The bus doesn't fun all night so make sure to find out when the last bus runs. Otherwise I think its like $30 or $40 bucks.

Girls: I did not see any girls on the beach. There were a few girls at night on strip, but it was very quite and boring while I was there. Most of the bars and restaurants were empty. I was told that some did not open until the weekend. The lack of girls may been because it was a week day. I don't think it is worth going to BC. Can't remember what the girls were asking for.

I arrived to Hotel Be Live Hamaca Saturday by 3:00 pm. Ok, it is a non guest friendly all inclusive hotel so it is not a place (usually not) for monger business.

I asked the guy who took us to our room about the disco inside the hotel, he was the one who told us that it was closed. But that one by hotel lobby entrance is free and the first drink is free for hotel guests. It is a relative new one Luxury disco, less than a year located next to hotel Hamaca lobby.

People? One, two, three. I counted near 40 girls and no guys dancing. Ohhhh! Ohhh! Girls alone! You know what that means! It was like Classicos in Sosua, were almost every girl inside was in search of men.

How odd. A non-guest-friendly hotel with a pick-up disco.

The beauty of chicas there was a couple of points below of what I found in Classicos the couple of times I visited that place. But I changed the next night. More later.
