Sometime ago I saw him in la sirena at ouerto plata. We talked a little bit and he told me that he has health problems. He did not say much and I did not ask. This was the last time I saw him.

First time to the are, have questions, would love some pointers.

Greetings ya'll.

First time to Dominican Republic next week. I'm posting this same thing in a few cities I plan to visit in hopes to get some advice, questions answered, etc. , some in general others about the city, so excuse if seems redundant across forums.

Background info: I'm from the USA, white guy (if that matters), I fly into Santiago, and will go to Santo Domingo also. I plan to visit one other place, maybe two. Whatever I can do with 2. 5 weeks. Don't plan to rent a car (heard they have special tags that police target for bribes, and really, don't' want to worry, be responsible for, or think about a car) but take uber instead, they seem cheap enough there, unless there's good reason not to. New to the the are but not new to international traveling, third world countries, watching my back, etc. Know how to defend myself but prefer to have no reason to and avoid trouble / trouble areas. I speak decent Spanish, getting better but definitely not fluent. I'm not a flashy person, I know I will stick out like a sore thumb but don't plan on walking around with jewelry, a visible wallet, with my phone out, etc.

Obviously this forum is about mongering, I am not above this and it's a good back up plan but I plan on meeting some civilian girls I've been chatting and tinder and some other apps are popping for me pretty well. Obviously that comes with sorting through working girls, gold diggers, girls wanting assistance, sugar daddy, scammers, etc. Nothing new. Is there a forum or website somewhat like this one more dedicated to meeting regular / civilian girls, traveling as a single guy, etc?

Is there an area (s) of town where I should particularly stay? Safer, easier to find expats / western travelers, etc?

An area (s) I definitely need to avoid?

Do I need to worry about making sure my hotel allows guests? I plan on bringing multiple (one at a time) over, I've heard some weird or conflicting things about this. I haven't had an issue in other places I've traveled, they usually just need to bring ID to leave with front desk.

Any local attractions I should check out? Good weekend getaway place I can take a chica I fancy? Obviously want to do some fun things besides pursue or entertain women.

It is open as Oasis. Don't know current rates. Stopped by briefly in Jan. 7 only saw 1 guy staying there. No chicas that got my interest, lots of bigger ones there. Try searching oasis adult resort.
