I would be going to DR for the first time i have seen some posts about BB also saw the BB web page with the pics of the girls available i wanted to know if there is web page for field of dreams and if any one can tell which place would be better to go to for a newbie like me.

Are you looking to stay in an old folks home which BB is or in a Party Atomosphere? If you are than go to Sosua, and stay at the palace if it is your 1st time to DR.

In the middle of nowhere it's strong said, it's only 5 minutes from Chrystals, 10 minutes walk from the Playa Dorada complex where you can find a few discos. I really like this place, tastes can differ. I especially like the quietness, that's why I never go back to the all-inclusives, I don't like the animation there, I prefer to look for my own animation, in this case a beautiful girl next to me.

Black beards has a nice complex but it is not for people who read and stay informed. Blackbeards is for your first time exploring, it is not in the middle of no where you just need a car.

The 2 best places to stay are Blackbeards and The Field Off Dreams.

After posting my previous message, I realized that what it sounded like is not what I meant to say.

What I meant to say is that I have never been to DR before and I am going to Blackbeards. Their web site has a limited number of companion pictures so I was hoping that someone who may have recent returned from there could tell me what's available and what the prices are.

I was not trying to say anything negative about Blackbeards as not only have I never been there before, but I've never even been to DR.

You could have just edited the first post.

Blackbeards - nice hotel, girls available or bring in your own, IMHO grossly overpriced (the hotel is fairly priced) for the girls that are there, some newbs and ones who can't speak Spanish would do OK there if the money part is not an issue.

Has anyone recently returned from BB's? I'm going down next month and would like to get the lowdown on the st/lt pricing and the selection of talent available there.

I didn't see too much on their site that I was excited about and would like to know what my options are.

Can anyone address this for me?

You can also go to the busterminal in santiago and from there take a BUS to Puerto Plata. (caribe tours fe) That would cost ye about US $ 3,-..! (maybe now 4 or 5 bucks with that crazy oil prices) The remaining way to BB you can take a guagua or a motoconcho.
True...a busride is not as comfortable as a taxi...but it sure is a lot cheaper!!
Money saved...can be spend on chicas;-) Just a thought.

the ride should be around 1 hour 45 mins if you know how to get there.

i am sure that any cab driver will try and [CodeWord123] you for the requisite $75 us.

my advice is to rent a car or split the ride with friends.

It is a nice clean place but you need a car to stay there.

You do not need a car to stay there. DominicanBilly can get you around, or you can always take a motoconcho, or get a taxi. If you just base where you stay on being able to walk places, you will inevitably just end up in a tourist trap situation. The key to hooking up with great local talent is to get out and about. Honestly, the hotel is not that far away from where you would want to go anyway. And it is very private and quiet and relaxing. I live in Santo Domingo and visited Field of Dreams two weeks ago.
