Exactamente, being unpredictable and cautious is the ticket. I was at a bar in Santo Domingo a few days ago when I struck up a conversation with a guy I heard speak English. Man boy did this guy tell a crazy story. He lived in Sosua and had an issue with this Haitian girl involving a lot of money. The Kviar Connection:

Many of these Barrio Princesses go to Kviar on the weekends and I find it interesting that the same chic that can be had for 1500 pesos in her barrio will want twice that much in a tourist spot such as Kviar. Although it should be noted that while in Kviar if you study the dress make up and demeanor it will be relatively easy to spot the difference between the Barrio Princesses and the regular pros. The pros in Kviar are generally expecting 3000 pesos and up.

Sounds like a supply and demand issue. I am guessing that these chicas can demand that much money because they don't have to compete with the same amount of chicas as they would have to if there were in Sosua. It's like if you hopped in your car and drove out to "the sticks" and there were only 2 hoes at the only hoe bar in town. Old Kool, most of the women in the DR say they hate and don't fuck with Dominicans then turn around and have two or three babies by them. They also say their Dominican baby's daddy was killed in a motorchoncho accident but he is probably still fucking her whenever he wants. It's culturally acceptable for the Dominican guys to fuck for free or pay a fraction of what we pay. Local expats can maneuver for better deals over the tourist because they live there.

Fellas, if girls are tricking in their hometown (Or within an hours drive) with gringos the Dominican knows as does her family but most times this is acceptable and understood. The ones that don't,will, with the right approach but most gringos don't have the patience for this.

There is no one size fits all for these chics, some will settle for 1000 pesos and others will think it's a insult. Most are available for extranjeros it's just a matter of the right person making the introduction because many are under cover and don't want to be labeled as hoes.

Puerto Plata Chica Networks:

There are a few different networks of chicas in Puerto Plata for example in Kviar there is a crew of about a dozen that are familiar with one another and generally have no problems sharing clients. While at Kviar I have had a few occasions where one chica would introduce me to another. These chics generally want between 3 - 4000 pesos but I have had one for as low as 2000 pesos.

There is Chalo's and the other drinking establishments at Calle Diez why Seis. Generally when you see chicas taking photos in a bathroom with orange sinks they are in Chalos. What I find interesting is that you rarely see Kviar chicas in Chalos but occasionally Chalos chicas will go to Kviar. These chics can range between 1500-3000 pesos.

So now the testing costs are up because of having to get a pass from a Doctor. The Dermatological Clinic on Sanchez is quick and easy, if you get there early. About 2000 pesos.

That's way too much. In Bocachica at the new Clinica Contreras at Bautista Vicini and Las Americas, the cost is 300 pesos and you can get the slip by walking into the emergency area to request one. Other clinics like the one next to the fire dept. Charge 500 and no slip.
