First would be read the forum. Everything you're looking for is mentioned here.

As far as resort girls... going to be tough. Most will not risk the only good thing going which is their job. You can find girls that might be guests staying at the resort.

Use the Spanish when needed. I found that with the girls in clubs and bars sometimes it helped to have "limited" Spanish when it came to negotiating.

    Punta Cana status

My Dominican friends tell me that many tourists are cancelling their trips to the Punta Cana area with fears that another earthquake could strike the entire island.. The DR is already having major $$$ problems with the worldwide recession, this only adds the financial pressures. The tourist are booking Mexico specials instead of DR. This is bad for Dominican employees at the AI/resorts but good for mongers who are not afraid of earthquakes as our dinero will be a welcome relief.

I can't speak for Punta Cana, but I can tell you that flights to Puerto Plata really freed up after the earthquake. I had been trying to book a Delta award ticket for 35K miles round trip to POP for the week of Feb 22 but they were all booked up prior to the quake. The week after the quake, there were plenty of available seats using 35K awards.

Punta Cana is the furthest point from Haiti in the DR, so I doubt that anyone would use it for getting to Haiti, those folks would be much more likely to use Santo Domingo, Santiago, or Puerto Plata as gateways.

    Non-pros

What makes you think these girls were not pros? If a woman just meets a guy and she has sex with him she must be very comfortable doing that.

There is a lot of ego in these "stories" like she fucked me right away cause I am so good looking, not because she is a puta.

As a foreigner who lives here, I can tell you, you will never find a normal girl especially not in a tourist area unless you live here and go to the right places, or being introduced by the right people.

Forget the ego thing and enjoy the cueras
I am a cheap ass and I consider any chica who does not talk about dinero and provides a GFE a non-pro. It is nice to have a 4-6 hour relationship without discussing the price or her expectations for dinero. Who gives a shit about a "normal" girl. Mongers only want to fuck. I am a lazy monger who does not like the aggressive "used car salesmanship" attitude. Most of the Higuey chicas have to work an entire month for $6, 500- $8, 000rd so I consider them a non-pro if they are extremely happy with the $2, 000rd "salon/shopping gift" and AI resort visit/food that I provide with the braclet scam. Mongers are on vacation and the last thing most of us want is some aggressive money-hungry ***** making our sex life miserable. We can stay in the USA for that experience.

All of the AI's (Melia Caribe) included will charge you extra to bring in outside guests. You can try Crazy Daves idea about getting another wrist band to use for your girls. Plaza Bavaro and Steve's bar are about 10-15 minute motoconcho ride from Melia. $2-3-4 depending on the driver. For $20 there are a couple of close short time hotels in the Plaza area. As far as security goes I felt safe in Plaza area. I went there everyday and they kinda get to know you. Just be smart, go with the flow and don't rock the boat. A good moto in any foreign county these days.

At night, after dark, you will see people (security guards) with guns (rifles & shotguns) at businesses. I didn't have any worry's except you have to get used to the fact that they don't always have a uniform on. So it's a little weird at first. Sometimes I came back at 2:00 in the morning but felt safe.

    Sounds like a big improvement

They ask for your passport and when I got it back it was crumpled-up (seemed like due to humidity) which pissed me off somewhat, but so be it.

El Cortecito Inn is about half a block from the Beach but no decent place to really enjoy the beach since most of the beach is taken by vendors, shops, or AIs's. There is a new condo development right next door with a "Beach Club" called Cafe Noir. Condo's are not yet open but the beach club is. This was open to the public and as long as you buy a drink or two and some food, you can use their beach chairs, lounge, etc. This was convenient for 2-3 days. The Inn also has a pool that is pretty clean, local families and couples enjoy this Inn. The room amenities are very basic, but for the price, can't ask for much more than this.

I speak zero Spanish but meeting chica's was not a problem at all. Any shop owner (on the beach) or scooter boy can help you out. Just have to be smart about it. If you walk up and down the beach, you will c/meet lots of working chica's. Very obvious who they are. They are usually $50-60. Got one thru a scooter boy which came out of Flamingo's for $50. She was a 7-8 but stayed only for a pop (Flamingo's is right across the street but I did not go in there as it is obviously a rip-off place). The Inn asked for $20 extra to bring someone in, but I was able to negotiate this down to $10. Another one I met on the beach which was ok as well. Again $50. The best one I met on the 25th around 10pm on the corner of the street close to the Inn. I speak no Spanish and she speaks extremely little English. But we negotiated in cave language fine and she stayed for three hours and two pops for $60. I gave her a little tip in the end. Very good treatment, a 7-8, clean clean cleanly shaved, offered massage, offered to meet up again, etc.

If you are smart about how you approach the guys on the street, or the girls, you can have a lot of fun without being taken for a ride.

I stayed at an AI in Punta Cana for a week on Dec, 2006. I walked the beach all the time and never saw one working girl. I am glad to hear of the improved situation.

I don't like the taking your passport deal. Anybody else heard of this?

I'd be concerned if I was out and about and the authorities asked you for your passport.

The non-pro is like the chica's I met who danced all night at Mangu, drank and then spent the night without asking for a dime. I'd like to think it might have been my "good looks", but I know better.

    Back from Punta Cana

    Mongers,

I was in Punta Cana/Bavaro for 3 weeks leaving December 21st. Just like the other mongers on this board, spent some time at Steve's bar in Plaza Bavaro but most of the chicas I saw were somewhat fat and high mileage. All the chicas were complaining about the high unemployment rate in DR and the lack of tourists with dinero. It appears that many Russians are coming to the Bavaro area but not bringing any dinero and wanting to fuck for free. The chicas are really hard pressed for dinero. I had several semi-pros in the $60 range. I am a real cheap ass and refuse to pay big bucks. More non-pros are coming from Higuey due to no employment and the raising cost of living.

I had several non-pros but was cussed out due to putting the entire "load" on the face and lips. Non-pros appeared not to understand that I was a semi-freek. I did have one sexy ass chica tell me in broken english that she went to church several times per week and could not sell me her body. When she asked for some money to "help" her mother, I explained that I was a priest and I gave all my money to the church. She gave me the look of "WTF". I swear that the chicas have more lines of bullshit than used car salesmen. Everyone has a sick mother, needs english classes, needs dinero for the university, family needs medication, etc. Etc. Etc.

Mongers. Keep it simple. "NO PANTIES/NO PESOS" repeat as many times as necessary. The chicas will often cry but many have earned "academy awards" for their performances. Speaking of Academy Awards. I was with a sexy chica friend from a gift shop who received a cell phone call from her overseas novio. She smiled before answering the cell phone to me and when she connected she started crying like a baby, I mean really crying. WTF?. She was telling the novio in broken english that her mother had not paid the rent, used the rent dinero for food for the cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors. Neighbors dogs, etc. After she hangs up she smiles to me and says the novio will send an "EXTRA" $100 us dollars this month. She bought me several drinks and fucked my lights out that night. I only paid for the taxi. A big "THANKS" to the western union novio for subsidizing my fuck. My braclet AI scam saved me over $500 us dollars and the chicas love the buffet food and hot water. What A Fucking Country!

I will post photos later next week.

    Crazy Dave
