Right not I'm experiencing the same thing from a Tinder hit. I did not know she was from Santiago until she told me. We are trying to set up a lunch date. And she sent me her location. She was right next to Megacentro. That is a mall in Santo Domingo este and know the area well. So, I told her let's meet in the food court at Megacentro in couple hours. You know what the girl came back with: "Why Megacentro. I don't like that place; let's go downtown. " Then follows that up with a voice message. "I'm from Santiago and I'm just staying my in family home here. I don't want to got Megacentro because it's too barrio. I don't like the type of people that go there". Shit! I'm thinking. Then why do you want to see me? Soy tan barrio myself. Thrown for a bit of a loop on that one. So, I respond where do YOU want go to eat. Her reply Adrian Tropical. Shit, shit!
This is where it starts to get dicey in this post. I'm about to talk about culinary preferences. (Forks and Knives Incoming! Take cover behind the best steak you can). I do not like the food at Adrian Tropical. I have been there a couple of times and I have not liked anything that I have ordered. The view is killer. Especially if you get a table right on the water. But the food. I'd give it to my dog if I had one. And I think you are paying for the view / location. Ok, but the food is not worth it. That is my opinion and I never tried the steak there either. LOL!
Nah, I tell her I'm not taking her to Adrian Tropical. I don't like it.
To be continued.

Frontier Airline now flys into Santo Domingo and Santiago out of Newark. Direct flights and very good prices starting March 10th.

Posts: 3114I would check in to a cabana for 20 bucks
If I get in that late at night I have one of my chicas meet me at the airport and go to a cabana. You can find scores of girls from Santiago on Cupid and Tinder. Most would be thrilled to meet and go to a Cabana. What a awesome way to finish your night. Wake up in morning and catch the bus to Sosua for 8 dollars. The cab drivers know where the Cabanas are and can provide access to chicas if you ask. Cabanas are decent and much cheaper then hotels. I would never pay 100 bucks to get to Sosua 5 am in the morning for what/ Get 5 hours of sleep get the Sue around 11 or 12 and enjoy your day.

These are places where they literally wash cars. But it's rare that the places are automated so it takes a long time. There are bars set up and they have pretty girls as servers. The girls are available for take out. I don't know if they have places available right there in the car wash as I've only taken advantage of the "eye candy" while having the gran hefe mobile cleaned up.
This serves as a heads up to the Mr. Twins about posting information on actually having sex with girls in Republica Dominicana. Now we can play: "Where's Subcmdr?

I have never been to DR and have started reading the DR's past reports. I see reference to 'car wash'. What type of a place is this? Also, if you have stayed at a AirBnB apartment that had good location and was chica friendly, please send a PM. Thanks.

Posts: 2116Question for the habitual renters
I used to rent cars from something called Nelly which has gone terribly down the hill. I never bought insurance (my credit card has plenty) but the last time the suckers doubled down on that and I said no to the rental and got an Uber.
Question to those that rent regularly (at Santiago in particular): which is a reliable and not too pricey car rental company for you folks?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and suggestions.
