How much is a taxi ride from STI airport to Aloha sol? I am spending one night in STI before I leave to POP. Wondering if I should rent a car instead of paying taxi from airport to aloha, aloha to pasions and back. I can then drive the car to Sosua next day and drop it off at POP airport. I checked with carrental site and there is no additional charge to dropping off at POP.

We spoke to a few people that check bags right next to the rental booths, they told us to wait there about 20 minutes and someone would show up.

At this point me and my boy were getting impatient because we wanted to hit Passions in Santiago. My patience was wearing off quick. After waiting about 30 minutes and having no one show up we spoke to a few guys outside and they hook us up with a rental about 5 minutes away. We would have taken a taxi, but we would have no place to put our bags in the meantime, because we wanted to make it before they closed.

So we got get the rental by now its 3:10. Me and my boy is thinking about Passions and getting laid. We get to Passions about 3:25 and walk through the security clearance and the next thing we see is a butt naked chica on the middle of the stage. By this time all my frustrations and and anger from earlier had worn off. The Chica was hot. She was doing splits o the stage, nice body etc....me and my boy got a front row seat. It was no later than 5 seconds when two chicas approached and started grabbing on us.

I went there with a few friends I didn't go there with the intention of paying that price, but after a few Presidents my wallet was the last thing I worried about. I wasn't leaving that place to go back to Hotel El Gran Almirante and masturbate over a few dollars. If you are stronger then me wait until you drive to Sosua the next day to pay the $2000 to $2500 peso rate.

I have taken girls out of passions for less than that. I never pay more than $4000RD, and usually pay around $3500RD. Anything higher and she's sticking you with the clueless gringo tax. Of course, there are some variables. Such as your looks, and how well you speak spanish. But the average guy who speaks decent spanish shouldn't be paying more than 4000RD to take girls out of there.

If you are renting a car, make sure the car rental company is open at 2am. If you rent a car and go directly to Passions, put everything in the trunk, out of sight. Around 4am most bars start to close and people go home. I don't know if your plans are to stay up all night and then drive to Sosua. If you are at passions when it closes, and you still want to explore, you could probably head over to Casa Blanca or Ilusiones. Some casas don't care, at what hour the client shows up at their doorstep. Casinos stay open late, they usually shut down around 6am. Be careful with pros you may see walking around the big white monument in Santiago. Many of those pros are transvestites.

Thanks Bigup, Even though the prices are high, I will see what it is about, I feel the same way you do, why should i pay $100 for 1 or 2 hours when I can get it cheaper elsewhere in DR. But I will report back on the scene. Thanks for the info.

Always remember that cab drivers and male hotel employees are good source of information, there should be cheaper choices in the city.
