Nothing is open on Good Friday, colmadons might be serving but most places are dry.

Anyone know the actual dates of Carnival in La Vega and Santiago?

I know they try to coordinate them between the two cities and they last for a while.I went to website for La Vega Carnaval but can't figure it out.

Also was in Santiago yesterday a little confused by Google map of Santiago it seems to be outdated.I notice an Almirante Casino near Monument any chics hang out there?

I LOVE Santiago. ALWAYS have a great time there. Spend a few days in SDQ, very little in POP. But my heart belongs to STI!

I've stayed at Hodelpa Centro Plaza, I've stayed at Hodelpa Gran Almirante. I stayed at Albertos Suites for seven (7) days for LESS than $160. 00. (Not the Ritz Carlton but to each his own)

Don't want to argue or rebut the "ugly girls" in Santiago deal BUT I'm posting some pics with descriptions and YOU can be the judge. If you speak decent spanish you'll NEVER have to pay in another p4p oriented city unless you WANT to.

Only went to Pasions once. She was cute but bitchy. I got the last laugh as my load went in her nostrils and she ran to the bathroom gagging and cursing. I was on the bed LMFAO!

Otherwise what you do is get on ANY Latina website (It TOTALLY doesn't matter which), make contacts a few weeks out and be consistently in touch (5 mins a night on cheap phonecards just to say hello), NEVER tell exactly when you're coming in town. Just swap your sim with Claro or Orange when you get there and call. Go on dates with all of them (yes you pay for food but you BOTH eat right?!)

Some will take a couple days, some won't. P4p in between. It's that easy!

Me = me at the Aguilas Memorial at the bottom of Monumento de Restauracion. Kukara Maccara has great eats across the street.

Kumy1 = lives next door to Albertos. Never tagged her, she likes to "hang" with the american basketball players that come in town.

I'm sure some will rebut but in all seriousness. I have MANY STI stamps in my passport. I was there during the Presedential elections arguing with the locals about race and politics. I was there during the Aguilas race to the championship with a Big Aguilas Bandera in the streets day and night. I walk through the HOODS like I'm from there. No concern about ladrones because I'm not flashy and I mind my business.

I'm a personal trainer and I think thta the golds there is just Great. The equipment is a little older but not all of it and not by much. My workouts are intense and EVERYTHING I needed was there.

This is of course all opinion and My experience but I'll KEEP going to STI. With bus rides to SDQ, and POP for a weekend of p4p and then back to STI for enamoradas that cook and drain your ball sack.

Very nice report and pix. Thanks for sharing. Looks like you like to enjoy yourself on these trips much like I do. I'm not a huge baseball fan but I'm always fascinated by the local scene in the DR & Colombia (Caribbean coast). I also liked; "arguing with the locals about race and politics". Shows you can do it and still have fun without pissing them off "too" much.

Allow me to suggest to the forum another of my favorite routines that I suspect you've done also: Take a girl to the gym in the afternoon, work out yourself some but more important, train her for an hour or so, then back to your place for beer or wine, showers, and sex.

Priceless.

Great Post. You sound like someone who really enjoys STI like I do. I have been here for 5 years and I don't have a single complaint. If my man is have such a bad time he should cut his visit short.

I certainly do not think that every women in Santiago is willing to have sex for money. In this case, I was told by my taxi driver that he had a female friend who worked there as a masseuse, and that, in fact, she offered the happiest of endings.

I was misinformed.

As for Gold's being the same Gold's gym that we have in the USA- it really is not. It's the Dominican variety, and that is quite different.

But I have to agree with Negro562 on one thing- Santiago has amazing women, who are amazingly available. Not every woman is a *****, but a large number of them are "non-pros", who will occasionally screw a foreigner for money. In fact, I spent an entire evening with a woman like this on my last visit. I met her through an old friend, and through a conversation that mostly consisted of not-so-subtle innuendo, we agreed on a P4P night. Price was never discussed, she treated me like a boyfriend (despite our age difference of about 30 years) but in the end, clearly expected a cash present. And, if one has time enough to start up an internet romance, the possibilities in Santiago are overwhelming. I met one of the most beautiful women I have ever known, and she fucked me senseless for "free".

I am a real fan of this city and highly recommend it to anyone who has both the time and command of the Spanish language.

And where did you see any of these hot women? I don't get it..I'm in shock how unattractive they are here.

There is place that has kitchenettes. Cabanas are sometimes called aparta hotels. I'll have to search for the name of the place with the kitchenettes, supposedly near the monument and not expensive.

Supposedly only three places with readily available p4p chicas in santiago, pasions, ilusions and casa blanca. I'll be in santiago this month.

Regular bars with chicas, best nights are Friday and Saturday, earlier in the week many bars are not open. MOMA is nice, also Francifol, Tribeca and Monte Bar. I had fun in las colinas rancho tipico, I was with some chica who I had just met. Platinum was a big bar, kind of dead the night I went there. Some chica told me h20 bar is good. On the weekends during the day, Andy Ranch has a pool with live music at times. There is a street about one block off the monument (sort of behind Kuka Macara bar/restaurant and Montezuma bar) that has several bars, at the end of that street there was a mass of people partying on the sidewalk and the street on a Saturday night. Supposedly Monte Bar is open every night.

Carnival usually runs on the weekends. There will be stands set up around the Monument for carnaval in Santiago. Hopefully it won't rain, I was there last year during carnaval and the rain put a damper on the festivities one Sunday.

You may want to drive the 30 minutes south and visit La Vega during carnaval, again on the weekends. Carnaval Vegano supposedly best in the country, guys go around with paddles and slap the asses of people.
