Spirit Airlines into Santiago...Help!
Okay, first off, hi! This is my first time on the Santiago thread. I usually hang out in Puerto Plata or Sosua in DR or Panama City, Bogota, Medellin, or Rio de Janeiro...so, not a newbie to the game, just to Santiago.
I'm thinking of purchasing a ticket with Spirit Airlines from Ft. Lauderdale to Santiago (buying on Tuesday), but, the flight gets in at like 2am. So, I'm wondering:
A: Where can I get a hotel at that hour, either close to the airport, close to some chicas, or close to the bus station? Will I be able to get a taxi at that hour? for how much?
B: Which bus station should I ask to be taken to in order to get a bus to POP airport (or as close as possible) since I need to meet some friends there for their afternoon arrival?
C: How much should I expect to pay for the bus ticket to POP?

This past weekend I went through Monte Cristi. Monte Cristi really had some real lookers. Seems like a spot to go back to and spend a few days. It was not much going on as far as things to see but it did have a few good looking chicas.

It has Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Pollos Victorina, exchange houses, banks, department stores, bar etc. within walking distance. Monument is a 10 minute walk. Hotel Platino is in front of Catholic university, Santiago's largest university. Their webpage www.hotelplatinodr.com has a detail of prices etc. Hotel los Jardines looks good, www.hotellosjardinesrd.com, webpage has prices for different rooms. Hotel Matum, www.hotelmatum.com is in front of the monument and has a pool. Hodelpa Centro Plaza which is on calle Sol next to hotel Aloha Sol also has a pool. www.hotelhodelpa.com. Whas up guys do you know of any cheap hotels in santiago. I'm looking to spend like 60 us for the night, maybe alittle more. Had a change of plans, changed my flight and I'll be leaving out of santiago

I traveled from Jaguar hotel to Metro buses station using a taxi called from hotel lobby. There were taxis outside the hotel but lobby chica called a guy they trust. He charged me 150 pesos which I think is good considering distance and traffic conditions. Paid the Metro bus to Santiago, 270 pesos for a two hour trip. Arrived to bus station and then a taxi, 120 pesos to hotel. Trips inside the city cost 100-120 pesos. I stayed July 22-25 in Hotel Aloha Sol, an hotel similar to Mercure in Santo Domingo. I paid 1800 pesos or 50 dollars. Room price include an allowance for expenses so I you do not spend anything or spend less than the allowance they are going to refund you some money at checkout. Nice room, the hotel has 106 rooms, casino, restaurant, room service till midnight, a/c, cable, mini bar (water 25 pesos, candies from 15 to 60 pesos, beer 100 pesos) . I drank mini bar beers and then bought cold ones on a near bar, 45 pesos to substitute the 100 pesos beers, so I was not charged for mini bar. Phone calls were relatively cheap from hotel, local calls 3 pesos for 3 minutes, 6 pesos to cell phones.
Hotel Aloha Sol is in the middle of Santiago commercial area, banks, restaurants, stores are walking distant from hotel. Hotel Hodelpa is around the corner, a good money exchange house is two blocks distant from hotel. A breakfast buffet is included: milk, water, juices, coffee, corn and frosted flakes, cheese, ham, cooked salami and bacon, pancakes, mangu, muffins and cakes,fruits, eggs, scrambled eggs and omelets, bread and a toaster.
Later that day I met my first internet chica, Rossana. Pretty and young, she arrived to my hotel and went straight to the room. Final two days
Attached to Hotel Platino is a bar restaurant, I went in and had coffee at 10:00AM, then checked out of Hotel Platino, check out took about 20 minutes. Got lost trying to find the highway.
Eventually made it into Moca around 11:30AM. Called a chica I know, she said she was at work, I said only for 30 minutes, she said OK.
