In Fridays restaurant adjacent to the el gran almirante in Santiago, each table has a small box with buttons on the top. If you want the waitress you press one button, if you want your bill you press another button. The waitress wears a small device around her wrist that signals her.

When entering Santiago from Santo Domingo on the main highway, there are at least 6 Cabanas on that road. Ethics Cabana had several roadside signs offering rooms for 99 pesos. I used Zeus cabana one time, nothing special. Horus cabana was ok. Bora Bora was the nicest of the ones I used. Seems Helios might be good too.

Stayed one night at Hotel Platino. Paid about 2,500 pesos. This hotel is in Plaza Platinum on ave estrella sadhalla, there is a large university across the street from the hotel. Up the block from Hotel Platino is 27 Out Sport bar. Also up the block is a small shopping area with a pharmacy and an ice cream shop. I bought a 36 hour Cialis at the Pharmacy there for about 365 pesos.

Many businesses are located in Plazas, when you ask for directions, many times people will say the business is located in Plaza so and so. Empanadas seem to be be popular in Santiago. You will see many curbside stands selling Empanadas.

After being in Santiago for three nights, when I returned to Santo Domingo, it felt like when I go into NYC after being away in the mountains, going over the George Washington Bridge and entering the Cross Bronx Expressway, welcome to the grime, dirt, traffic. There is some traffic in Santiago but nothing like what you will find in Santo Domingo. Entering the Casino at the El Gran Almirante in Santiago, at 5PM, from the northbound lanes of Ave Estrella Sadhalla, where you have to make the left in front of the southbound lanes, is a hassle. But overall driving is not overly aggravating in Santiago, not like it is in Santo Domingo.

Overall the people in Santiago are very nice and helpful, I guess because they don't live in a crazy city, they are more tranquil and friendly. I have met some very nice people in Santo Domingo and I have met some nutty chicas in Santiago, but overall Santiago has a much more tranquil, nice vibe.

Santo Domingo can be fun, because it has numerous bars where you can easily find chicas for p4p. Easy mongering opportunities are more numerous in Santo Domingo. However with a little effort you can meet some very nice chicas to hang out with in Santiago and the lifestyle in Santiago is just much better.

When coming from the direction of hotel platino on avenida estrella sadhalla, make a right on duarte (I believe duarte is the street before the intersection that has the McDonalds), Moma is less than 5 minutes away from Ave estrella sadhalla on duarte (on the right side of duarte, same parking area as the mall).

I took the mountain to get back to Sosua from Santiago a few times. I can remember turning right at the street that has the edificio hace building. That mountain road is scenic but dangerous, locals walk on the road and there are lots of turns. Parts of the road are occasionally washed out, reducing it to one lane.

It is now 7:03AM, have not slept in 22 hours. The guy at the bar in the casino at the Gran Almirante couldn't sell me a beer, but gave me a free cup of coffee. There were some cuties in Monte Bar monday night. I danced merengue with my chica, the tipico merengue is different from regular merengue music, some of the beats are a little faster.

I exited monte bar with my chica around 1:20 AM. Earlier in the night she had wanted to go to my hotel. Now she wanted to go home. I was buzzed after many beers, I agreed to drive her home. I know from experience many dominican chicas are afraid to taxis alone late at night. Where she lives the streets are not paved, they are dirt roads, with the manholes jutting up in some places 7-8 inches above the dirt. The streets have no signs with their names. A combination of the many beers, being tired and driving in some clusterfuck neighborhood with dirt roads, my patience was not there. I drove from SDQ to STI alone. I paid 107 for a sixth floor non smoking room, breakfast included. Free WiFi internet. Nice restaurant on the sixth floor, where they have the breakfast buffet and dinner at night, very nice view of the city from there. Small gym and a business center on the 6th floor.

A light skinned chica that I have known for about two years, I invited her over to the hotel around 4pm. She came to the hodelpa centro plaza and after I drove with her over to the Hodelpa El Gran Almirante where I used the pool. The prior night the authorities in santiago had closed three bars because they found minors drinking in three bars, las colinas rancho tipico was one of them, along with a bar called something like fino and some other bar.

In Monte Bar there was an entrance fee for guys, maybe 200 pesos or less. Monte Bar is like a tipico, small metal tables with cheap metal chairs. I ordered about 6-7 large presidentes while in monte bar. The bill was 435 pesos. Monday night is birthday night at monte bar, people go there to celebrate birthdays. Old people and young people there. I saw one 70 year old guy dancing with a 20 year old chica. It is big inside, dance floor in the middle and a stage on the side. (a merengue tipico band played) I had a table in front of the stage. American baseball games on the televisions, first some east coast games that were finishing, then they switched over to a west coast game with the San Francisco Giants. Nice life, I have an attractive friendly chica sitting next to me, cheap beer, watching baseball and seeing the other cuties that were walking around in the bar.

I was a little nervous in monte bar, because I have a big titty GF chica in Santiago and I had not called her yet and I know she goes to monte bar, so I kept thinking that any minute the GF chica would come up behind me and drama, but the GF chica wasn't there. Well, I tried to make contacts before arriving but the loss of my phone shot that all to hell. My conclusion is that if you don’t know somebody in the scene most everyone will have a rough go at it. Even some of the contacts I made here did not pan out.

I chat with chicas in msn messenger. When they give me their phone number, I right click next to their name in msn messenger, then click edit contact, then click notes in their contact information. I cut and paste their phone number, into the part that says notes. I usually add their name here and their age. Also I use sti for santiago chicas, sdq for santo domingo chicas. I then copy and paste that information into the subject line of an email, that I send to my yahoo email. I keep all the all the contacts in a folder in yahoo, that can be easily printed out. I also use a similar system when adding numbers to my dominican cell phone. I put the chicas name or part of her name, (then sti, sdq, bn for boano, sp for san pedro) and sometimes the age. Problem sometimes, is that you will have several Annies or several Johannas in santo domingo, it can get confusing. Many of the online chicas don't pan out. I don't always have patience for them, but that is a mistake. Better to be patient, if they can't see you this trip, there will always be future trips. I have known chicas online who try to hook me up with their sisters, cousins or friends. Most times the chicas from online when I meet them in person, they are with a cousin or a friend. Calle del Sol will have a mixture of everything, ie. working girls, beeper chicas, and girls just hanging out shopping. You would have to engage them in conversation to figure out who's who.

The strip clubs charges a salida, but that price is included in whatever the girl charges. The price is usually cheaper if you settle on the cabanas on the property. It's very easy to contact these girls during day for a "Happy Hour" or try Gomez Diaz, which sometime have the same girls doing waitressing in the day.

Also, for University girls, you just need to hang out at one of the bars near the university, send a drink (usually beer) to their table, raise your glass to them and many times they will invite you over to continuing buying them more. But so what, if it's only beer they are drinking. Start the small talk with HUMOR and I'll bet one of them would find you cute and you are "In Like Flynn"

Be courteous and a gentleman and dress like you are somebody. Remember you are NOT a tourist, but a travelling businessman looking for new opportunities.
