RD4000 or RD5000 is way out of my range for puta. At this point it's like paying RD100 for a piece of bubble bum. It aint the price, but the principle.
Santiago is suppose to be the charm of the DR and I want to have a good time..chicas, food and cigars. I am use to paying RD 1000-2000 in Sosua and DR. for quality with personality. I hope to discover the same.

I was in Casa Blanca a couple of years ago. I didn't like that prison camp gate the closes behind you. We walked up the side of the place, which opened out into an area behind the building. There were chicas sitting in groups around, smoking mostly. They all looked bored and did not really take notice of us. It was this careless attitude that I was turned off. We sat and had a conversation with this chica. At the end she wanted 6000pesos!

WTF! For what? I'd never been back since.

7000P is crazy but it has been my experience that they will ask for 4000-5000P initally.

Now I know the word colmado. I've had very good luck and quality at one in Santo Domingo. Sounds like a taxi will be necessary. But I don't believe I'll be going to the clubs with that cost.

Platino is chica friendly but I don't believe you can walk to the Monument easily. I always have a car so I'm not an authority but you cannot follow Estrella because it tunnels underneath the autopista. I think you would have to cut through neighborhoods off the beaten path. Not dangerous in themselves but they are right next to some pretty nasty areas (below the Monument past Marisco Centro)

I've heard of guys pay in excess of $RD7,000 in Pasions. I won't lie to you guys, I've picked up plenty of Semi-Pro action in the local bars and colmadons. Look for the chicas sitting alone or with one other girl and wait for that eye contact. The same way I picked them up in the streets, say Hola Buenas and wait for the eye contact, you'll be surprised how many Pros and Semi-Pros mix and mingle in regular bars and clubs.

As another alternative for chicas, try Two Way Bar. Take Estrella from Monument area, past the Gran Almirante and TGIFs and make a right at the first light just past Luperon (Luperon is the Loma road to Sosua with the Heche building on the corner). Good prices on food and drink, live entertainment a couple days a week, pool hall on top floor and all types of chicas from pro to non-pro.

    Aloha

Stayed there twice in 2007 but was not impressed. I prefer Platino
or Plaza Central. Both are a five minute taxi from the monument. And while the area around Aloha and Holdelpa Central is safe, when you walk up Calle Sol toward the Monument, there are some iffy areas.

Aloha Sol is about $55 or $60 a night, a quick google search will give you their phone number. The streets are pretty safe at night, it's a busy street. You can pretty much choose any hotel because you can reach most areas of Santiago in about 10 to 15 minutes by cab for RD$100.

Heading towards Mcdonalds about two blocks from Aloha Sol hotel and make a left about a block and a half on the left hand side. I believe it's on San Luis, but ask the local cabbies or kids selling cell phone holders in the street. The schools I am refering to is PUCMM or UTESA. They are both on Estrella Sadhala and which bars are the best, who knows. Walk around and pick one. Do a little bar hopping. At night time you will see a bunch of them at Ahi disco, across from Ahi bar. You could check out Francifol, Dolce or Tribeca on the weekend, but dress nice or they won't let you in.

You are lucky to be travelling around Carnival time, because every Sunday is feeding frenzy. I hope you speak spanish!
