Guys I hope I could get a little help. I am not a NEWBIE to this site, in fact I have been a member since 2004, at that time Jackson needed to upgrade the server and split the USA site from the International site. I in turn lost my original name, I am a senior member on the USA site, my name there is Member # 2970.

I have been trolling around Chicago for over 25 years, I have actually seen the action almost disappear over here, but I was able to hang on to a couple of good regulars while in between girlfriends.

I have read the Santiago thread and pretty much see that there is not much obvious action with the exception of a couple of clubs and the carwashes, that's fine because I made friends with some attractive ladies through the web who all live in or around Santiago, hopefully I will get in some P4P during some dry time with these girls, I anticipate some down time.

The reason is Santiago does not work like that. The working girls here live with their families and their reputations are more in question here.

You have to understand, the large majority of the girls that are in Sosua working families have no idea what they are doing. Most of them tell their families that they are in Puerto Plata or Santo Dominigo doing other kind of work or going to school. Therefore, when they are in Santiago they do not at like the women act in those tourist towns. However, the girls still are looking for every opportunity to get them some money.

Now to answer one of your questions, "Is there a place where a newbie could go and pick up a ST or TLN in fifteen minutes?" The answer to that question is not really. In Santiago, if you are not going to the Car Washes or the strip clubs you stand a chance in hell of making that happen. Especially if you can't speak spanish. However, there are places that you can go and if you are willing to put in the TIME you can have some success.

If you want to try your luck as a newbie in Santiago I would suggest that you go and do a little gambling in one of the casinos. YOU HAVE TO DO SOME GAMBLING THOUGH. The reason being is the girls that are working the casinos in Santiago are also in there gambling. Hit the tables for a little while and you will see the girl doing their thing. Also, at night in most of the Casinos there are discos. Hit a disco. You might have to buy a couple of rounds but the working girls will show themselves and you can score you a good time.

I'm not new to traveling, mongering or dating. I'm not walking around with some huge ego either. And I don't know you from Adam but I'm not too keen on being told I'm inaccurate. If where I stayed mattered I would have posted that.

I wish you naysayers would mind your own business as Everyone’s experience is going to be different depending on MANY factors. Rich or Poor. Handsome or Shrek-like. I've sat at more than one dinner and talked about cultural differences and in my estimation the biggest Snafu foreigners make is that your money or status matters to EVERYONE.

So I don’t HAVE to stay cheap but what difference does it make if I’m having just as much fun in a low budget place. Was in Santiago for 7 days May 15th to May 22nd.

Flew into Santo Domingo as it was $180. 00 USD cheaper and caught the Metro Busline to Santiago. It was 250 pesos going and 260 coming back and I have no Idea why. Bus was very clean with AC Blasting. Sat next to a girl and chatted and got her e-mail for later. She was helping me with photo ideas as we were going past Mountainous scenery.

Stayed at a place called Alberto's Suites for 3500 pesos for the week.

That's $110. 00 USD for a week. See pics. Couple of girls hangng outside I took as well. Noone I was with just relatives of the hotel workers.

Totally girl friendly with no extra, just chit chat with the guys there and they’ll help you with some ideas.

It was without air for that price with a ceiling fan over the bed and that was enough for me. BUT add 100 or so pesos per day with air (and you will need it, I'm unaffected by sweltering heat)

Purple dot w/white center is Internet/Phone center 5 pesos (¢. 14) for a quick e-mail check/Phone about 60 pesos ($1. 70) for 3 minutes.

White dot w/ green center is Tony's gym (100 pesos daily but no fancy or new equipment. Gold's gym is at Plaza Internacional for 250 pesos daily very modern with HOT, FIT Dominicanas, No flabby guts and lots of spinners)

Light Blue dots w/ black center are Restaurants that were good and fairly priced.

The red Monopoly House shaped bldg. With 12 in it is the Hodelpa Centro Plaza (about $105. 00 USD and up a night) The one with 10 in it is the Aloha del Sol (about 1679 pesos and up per night) both great stays if you want more amenities.

Most taxistas should take you to most parts of Santiago for 100 to 150 pesos.

Conchos where you get in with up to 6 more people are 12 pesos and up.

Motos (moto-cycles) are negotioable 100 pesos in a cab is 40-50 pesos on a moto. (not for the faint of heart)

Santiago / La Vega / Moca ALL have hot girls that can be had if you are a spanish speaker with some time to spend. The girls in BB’s bikini contest PALE in comparison to MOST of Santiagos regular women.

Light Skinned spinners in one of Santiagos many Universities at all hours, Caramel Cuties with naturally long hair and round booty, Dark skinned big butt thick chics with tits. ALL available and open to gringo love.

The bus from SD drops you off at the bus station. The Metro and Caribe Tours stations are on the same street.

Both buses are about the same. The only difference is the Metro bus tends to play a movie and it costs RD $50 more.

There may be chicas on the bus but you will have to have your spanish speaking skills together but sometimes you can catch one that is interested.

I very seriously doubt you will get luck but hey, stranger things have happened.

For all you travelers that are interested in visiting Santiago I have a good deal for you. I know that taxi service here and there could add up and make getting around a real ordeal.
