    Car service in Santiago

For all you travelers that are interested in visiting Santiago I have a good deal for you. I know that taxi service here and there could add up and make getting around a real ordeal.

I have a driver that is interested in providing service for visitors. Please PM me if you are interested in more detail.

Go to Las Colinas, directly behind the MonteBar. Lots of the working girls frequent the place when they are home from Sosua although oft times with their Domincan novios or papi chulos. Also try Rancho Meringue.

Negro562 is giving some great advice for mongers who want to venture into Santiago. Santiago is a regular city and hookers won't approach you in the streets or the bars unless you are in Pasions or the other hooker joints, but they frequent many regular bars, casinos and hang out at the monument. The thing is that Dominicans knows whose a hooker and whose not, so if they're hanging in a bar and want some action, they know who to approach and how to proposition them. Many of the high-class hookers won't travel to Sosua or Boca Chica because their clients are generally upper-class Dominicans and foreign businessmen, so the 1500 pesos is out of the question. Maybe the chicas on Salvador Cucurrullo will charge 1000 or 1500, those are the ones frequented by the concho drivers.

Like Negro said, if you got a hook or know how to speak spanish then mongering in Santiago will be rewarding but other than that, stay in Sosua. That is one of the main reasons why the Santiago thread is pretty dead.

Oh yeah, the Five places to pick up putas. For newbies there are only three: Pasions, Illusions, and Casa Blancas. Even at the car washes, you might need just a little spanish and contact them later when they get off of work.

I did manage to go to Montezuma, Ahi Bar, and Monte Bar. They are not places to pick up putas. I am pretty sure Santiago does not have anything like Classico's or even a bar close to The Piano Bar. If there is why not list five places where a newbie could walk in and in fifteen minutes walk out with a ST puta for 1500 pesos. That is all I am asking.

As a matter of fact if you could find a few recent trip reports of someone who had a great time in Santiago in the last year would help. There is very little, if any, activity on the Santiago Forum so there must be a reason.
The reason is Santiago does not work like that. The working girls here live with their families and their reputations are more in question here.

You have to understand, the large majority of the girls that are in Sosua working families have no idea what they are doing. Most of them tell their families that they are in Puerto Plata or Santo Dominigo doing other kind of work or going to school. Therefore, when they are in Santiago they do not at like the women act in those tourist towns. However, the girls still are looking for every opportunity to get them some money.

Now to answer one of your questions, "Is there a place where a newbie could go and pick up a ST or TLN in fifteen minutes?" The answer to that question is not really. In Santiago, if you are not going to the Car Washes or the strip clubs you stand a chance in hell of making that happen. Especially if you can't speak spanish. However, there are places that you can go and if you are willing to put in the TIME you can have some success.

If you want to try your luck as a newbie in Santiago I would suggest that you go and do a little gambling in one of the casinos. YOU HAVE TO DO SOME GAMBLING THOUGH. The reason being is the girls that are working the casinos in Santiago are also in there gambling. Hit the tables for a little while and you will see the girl doing their thing. Also, at night in most of the Casinos there are discos. Hit a disco. You might have to buy a couple of rounds but the working girls will show themselves and you can score you a good time.

Now, in a perfect world, the way to work the girls in Santiago is to meet one girl and she will turn you on to all her friends that are working. That is how the people that are having fun here do it. I know four or five girls that know all the girls that are working in Santiago. When my friends come to town I call the girls and they schedule a time and they come by with a selection and you just choose who you want to play with.

You brought sand to the beach is what I call that!

Yes, Santiago is different. If you don't have any idea what's going on here you will be left out in the cold. However, if you happen to find out what is happening in Santiago it is a lot better than all the other places.

1.) It's not like Sosua so you won't be hassled to death by broads begging all day and night.

2.) Santiago has everything. Clubs, bars, Girls, girls and girls.

You just need to know how to work Santiago.

If you are here, post and say that you are here and where you going to be and I can alert the girls that you are there and can be an endless stream of girls for you to choose from.

Don't be confused. I have done all the other places and I ended up moving to Santiago because once you are in it is that good.

Also, my friend from here that works Sosua is bringing 10 girls to Sosua to work for some guys she has coming in to town. Now if she can put together 10 girls to go to Sosua to work why shouldn't you be able to see at least 20 to 30 in Santiago?

What is there to do in Santiago?????

I just spent a weekend in Santiago at Aloha Sol. I brought my own eye candy with me so I knew I would not be getting anything else while there. From reading 3 or 4 pages of this thread, Santiago seems like a city to stay away from.

    Am I missing something?

there is a cab in the hotel parking lot (always) to the right as you exit the hotel. the cabs are always very good quaility and its is 300 to 500 pesos to the monument where there are many nice restaurants. hotel staff are nice and the place has good food. girls need id. room service is not cheap but they will make you and a guest anything you want.

i like the place. lobby has 3 computers with high speed internet.

How much by cab to downtown Santiago? There should be a good cabbie outside the Courtyard. I am sure he can hook me up.

In SD the better hotels have there favorite cabs that are safe.

I will be there the 19th.

    Thanks

You will find fewer people in Santiago who speak English than in SD. Santiago is OK but I didn't enjoy it as much as I do SD.
    Is this place chica friendly?

    Thanks, Schwmm

I have stayed at the Courtyard many times. There is NOTHING at or near the hotel. It is 5 min. from the Airport. There is a Night Club called Passions about 8 min. by Cab where you can pick up many girls. Bar fine and then negoiate the price with the girl. Many of the Taxi drivers can hook you up also. No idea what the bar fine is and the girls are not cheap. I always have arranged a date with girls I know so I may not be of much help. I maybe in the area May 21 to 26. I will be staying at the Gran Alimirante Hotel and Casino. Google search and you will find it. Nice and 5 min. to the center of town and good restaurants. There is a disco and again the Taxi guys can help.
