Is it advisable to make a day trip to Santiago? I fly into Santo Domingo, spend the night there, drive to BBs in Costambar/Puerto Plata the next day. Hope to do Friday evening, night in Sosua, then the BBs Bikini Contest.

Is it worth it to try for a day trip to Santiago? All of the best looking women I've seen in DR are from Santiago, so, I'd like to visit the motherland first-hand. Would a newbie to the area (with appropriate research) be able to score a 9/10 with minimal effort and on probably a 4 hr time crunch? I know the area isn't as plentiful as say, Sosua, but, what are the odds of coming up successful. Possibly even bringing a girl back for the night.

If you are going from Satiago to Sosua the best way to go is catch the Caribe Tours bus. It only costs $100 peso and it drops you off right in Sosua. If you want a driver it will probably cost you $75 to $100 dollars (depending on how good your Spanish is.) Caribe Tours is your best bet.

I'm headed to pop, Sosua and Santiago at he end of my trip. This is my initial visit on Oct 25-Nov 4. I am looking for any advice on places to go and hotel to choose in Santiago. Currently have reservation at Court Yard Marietta near the air port and I do have renal car. Any suggestions on nightclubs (both pro and non-pro) If anyone else is in town and wants to meet up for a beer, let me know. Also anyone know contact # for Platinum Castle or some information.
