Newbies look at it like this. You want to go to the DR so you use sky scanner. There's a flight that can get you there in four hours one at for $300. That's about what you are used to paying and you've been traveling back and forth for years. Then you see there's a flight on a jet that can have you there in 45 minutes, however the flight is $1300. What if someone tells you they will pay the jet flight for you. Or tell you we will give you the jet price money and you do as you see fit. IMO That's how the chicas view The situation.

Your New interest in being closer to the area is one that I have talked to Gogo about many times. I've Hung out in San Pedro many times. I've never found a place actually in San Pedro ideally for me to stay. Juan Dolio 15 minutes West of SP and 12 minutes east of Boca Chica was a more comfortable and controllable environment. Like you, I love the vibe of San Pedro women. They seem to have less drama. My friend who visits his Novia there says there are so many beautiful dark skin women in SP. I've yet to find them in abundance. But my time is limited when I'm there.

Airbnb is your friend. I would definitely stay in Juan Dolio. You have the beach in walking distance and that will give you something more to do for entertainment. JD mines their business for the most part.
It cost under 300 peso to come from The capital to San Perdro by bus. It’s a little time-consuming but the Dominicans are used to it.
