Understood. And that's why I asked him for a car wash con mujeres. But this particular car wash didn't have a bar, etc.

    Jarabocoa

I just spent 2 x nights in Jarabocoa. This wasn't a mongering trip as such as its not really the location for that. I went there to experience the place, the cooler climate, a country town, nature, the waterfalls & to paraglide.

That said, it didn't stop me from trying. I went on a Tuesday / Wednesday and nightlife is limited outside of the weekend. Having read Camaro's previous trip report, I checked out super cafeteria juniors on Calle Liberdad. Looks like they hit every branch on the ugly tree on the way down!

Got a motoconcho on the case. He took me to another place, it was dead. Then another. Open air place. There were 4 chicas behind the bar. 1 of them was ok but I didn't tap it. They closed at 10 pm. Sorry but I have no idea where these places were or what they were called.

The next evening, I approached another motoconcho guy. He took me to an actual car wash before he got the message! He then took me to a place a couple of kilometres outside town. He assured me there would be plenty of good chicas. Well there were 12 so not so bad on that score but none of them above a 5. I went back in to the Parque Central to do some drinking. Stopped off at one of the watering holes at the corner of the park. Shared a few beers with a couple of local regular girls but that's as far as it went. One working girl showed up and touted herself outside a few of the bars. Didn't seem to bad but after a few minutes she was not to be seen.

So. No score in Jarabacoa but then I had no such expectations. I'm sure it's possible if you get to know the place but I was just passing thru. Back to Sosua to get my last fix before heading home in a few days.

Looking at the photo, the road seems to be great where you found the gomero. I had the exact same situation on the mountain road (carretera Luperon) coming from Sosua, when I hit a hole and the tire went flat. I had the same exact situation in terms of friendly help from the local people. Amazing!

BTW, I did the road to Cotui you did (on the way to Pimentel) a few years back and it goes behind the mine (I forget the name) that gives jobs to a lot of people in Bonao. If I recall it was an Australian company. You would have done the same route.

Last week I did the opposite as Tempo did. I was going north from SD to meet a girl in Cotui. So I veered off to the other side (east) of Autopista Duarte right around Bonao. It was a 2-lane hilly road full of potholes and fallen rocks, a terrain similar to what Tempo described. There were small bridges where whole sections have gone missing. Lo and behold, I must have hit a pothole somewhere there because hours later when we came out of the cabana, a tire has gone flat. As soon as I noticed, I stopped and as divine providence would have it, I stopped right in front of a gomera. The helpful neighbor called the guy for us as he wasn't there. She even brought us chairs while we waited. 200 pesos got the tire plugged, then I dropped my girl off at her University. By then the sun had gone down. I continued on to Sosua and passed by San Francisco de Macoris. After that, thanks to Google map, I white-knuckled it all the through twisty crumbling hillside road in the dark to Sosua. (This wasn't the Carretera Luperon that goes from Santiago to the west of Sosua -- the one that I regretted driving on a few years back. This route puts me out east of Cabarete.) I caught up with Grownman for a bit, had every intention to wake up and hit Classicos after a quick nap. Next thing I knew it was 4 am. By the time I got to the after-hours casino, pickings were slim. I turned right around back to Hotel Europa and went back to bed.

    Bani via winding country road

I just returned from a trip to the DR. Instead of text, I decided to add pictures that would add more, I feel. Came down on the highway up to Bonao (from Santiago) and then turned to the right. Discovered an area that I was not familiar with and that has a lot of natural beauty. The unpaved road, which no one warns you about, given the beautiful road earlier, scared me somewhat, especially when you see rocks on the road that fell of the ledges and awesome vista at the same time. It was a tiring drive by the time I got to Bani.

I also discovered the area that is full of coffee plantations. Finally a picture of a town called Bani. Not worth visiting with hardly anything better than fried chicken to eat, better straight to the beach areas known as las Salinas.

The photos are best viewed in sequence and so I named but given that no more than 10 photos can be be uploaded, I had to take off a few and the sequence is broken. My apologies.

    Barahona

I have been to Barahona many times all with good results. This is not a city to walk around in you need to be careful. First night meet a girl at the Big Tree. Defiantly a pick-up joint. This is a fairly large outdoor venue across from The Fabrica Liquor and Ice store. If the big tree is closed, which I think it is on Wednesday, Fabrica becomes the go to place. Decent girl spent the night. No money was ever discussed. Gave her $2000 pesos (47 to 1).

Next night hooked up with a girl from Dominican Cupid. Beautiful girl total la noche. Gave her $3000 pesos. Better service. This girl was unique. She had tits of 2 different sizes. Both looked nice but it was kinda of strange. One was 34 aa the other was a 34 dd.

I would repeat with both girls.

    Las Terrenas

I am here for a few weeks. Been around town some the past few nights. I can't bring ladies back to where I am staying (private villa belongs to my clients) but will share what I have seen so far. Tuesday night was busy. Outside Bodega bar few ladies on sidewalk. Walking up 27 de Febrero past Albachiria hotel a group of 3 ladies walked by one tried to grab my junk.

Coming away from Bodega up Liberty Street a couple by the restaurants there but more on Del Carmen heading from the Ship looking hotel to almost the supermarkets. This was all just after dark until about 830 pm.

Wednesday I was in town earlier, maybe 6 to 730 pm. Not as much that early, Bodega quiet, Del Carmen only had a few darker skin ladies out. One very forward team of two ladies the one speaking to me was Haitian but very thin and attractive told me she was very good at some things and was explicit. I just said sorry no comprede and she started speaking in broken English, but I still pretended I didn't understand and walked away. Should have asked how much for reporting purposes but maybe next time.

I have a motor bike but hate parking it in town so I take moto taxi for 100 pesos to town and walk around. I feel very safe everywhere I have been in town.

You are right. Most of my trips are not mongering trips but lets call it a more combined vacation. So I like to venture out and explore the less gringo visited areas and of course if possible enjoy the companion of a hot Dr woman.

New data from the Ministry of the Interior reveal that Montecristi has the highest homicide rate of any community in the DR.

Highest rate of homicides is Montecristi
The Observatory for Citizen Safety, part of the National Council for Citizen Safety, and published by the Ministry of Interior and Police, has released information on the 10 provinces and municipalities with the highest levels of homicide in the Dominican Republic during 2016.

Worst: Montecristi with a homicide rate of 34 murders per 100,000 inhabitants

    Neyba

This snippet from my full report.

    NEYBA.

I choose the hotel in front of the parque central de neyba which is hotel el batey (1000 pesos a night). The hotel has its own comedor which was perfect and good inexpensive food. After freshening up I decided to go to one of neybas main attraction witch is las Marias.

    LAS MARIAS.

A 10 min drive moto brought me here its another local balneario (natural spa). Usually quiet weekdays but packed in the weekends well it was Saturday or Sunday when I arrived so that place was packed with people. Typical Dominican family day spot.

Later that day I met a friend from long time back she showed me a little around town and the dos and don't in town. I spend some time in front of this disco that attract a lot of people especially young crowd in the evening it located in front of the hotel so it was ideal. The name.

    EL SITIO.

Lot of chapis of course with civilians mixed between. They have indoor music with air and outdoor there was some local DJ that plays from its car stereo system with some big ass speakers mounted in the trunk I think you can hear that coming 4 blocks away. I decided to leave when chapis started to invade my table asking for servesa and beggars asking to clean my shoes over and over. I took a stroll a little further down the road and I found this other place.

    CLUB MASERATI.

I had a beer here and spoke the manager / owner Dominican he said they opened recently and this place focus more on the distinguished clientele. And offered me VIP and stuff but I declined politely and explained that I was that simple gringo you don't see every day. But he kept insisting and send my 2 of her best waitress to keep me company (wow. They where outstanding) well that made my mind. For only 10 min. LOL my nasty ass had to ask the question. They said no they are only waiters not putas. Damn I was busted and embarrassed. After 1 jumbo president and a small propinas for chicas I took off.

By this time I finally managed to meet a Facebook prospect I have been pipe lining for a while outside in the park. She said she don't sex on first dates but would like to meet me. So fine. She arrived on her own scooter and she was way better looking that I expected. Damn I had to have her. We sat there for a while chit chat on a couple beer then she start telling me about her problems mainly money and ask if I could help her with something. That sounded like magic in my ear. Oh yes I can. Earn it don't be shy. Took me 2 more jumbo cervezas to loosen her up. I send her away 2 hours later with the pesos to solve whatever and my balls dry. And that was my day in neyba I think ill do a repeat there sometime in the future. I have an unfinished business with villa jaragua.
