Thank you for that! I think you both summed up the attitude on the island in a very classy and informative way.

Over the past several years I have always been a "pit bull" on this board against the many people that I call "closeted" racists. They make sarcastic, insensitive remarks that are meant (I suppose) to be funny - but they are nothing more, imo than inappropriate/insensitive remarks against black women.

I have made a "stake" on this great website initially as a Dominican Republic traveler and have said to exhaustion - that the color of a girls skin makes absolutely no difference to me "I just love beautiful women!"

As a 40 yo white male, I discovered that exactly what you two gentemen say is true. On my two trips to Jamaica I found that the local girls addressed the race issue, whereas I never did.

This one sweet girl that I met in a restaurant (Rose) and spent several days with said "So what's the story with you?" I said "What do you mean?" She said, "well...what are you doing in Jamaica meeting girls....you obviously have a thing for black women"

you pose a valid and accurate view of jamaica and a good topic to discuss. many of us here are hard-core travelers, usually on business. i travel for business but also to experience and learn about other cultures and peoples. mongering is just a wonderful side benefit.

jamaica can be a challanging place to travel. the joke (and truth) is that all the cash machines are white.

tourists are percieved to be immensely wealthy....bill gates level. think about it...the legal minimum wage is around $40 american per week, if they are lucky enough to even have a job. we talk about "bargain" hotels at $50 which is more than a weeks pay. high end resorts can run several hundred to several thousand a nite....as much as 6-7 months to 1-2 years of hard jamaican work for one night in a bed . or 3 months just for our plane ticket. get the picture?

we are indeed wealthy, even by middle and upper middle class jamaican standards. the one assumption you can generally make is that no matter who you are dealing with in jamaica, they will try to find a way into your pocket. it ranges from a higgler asking for a dollar to being presented with business plans needing financing in the millions. same hustle at all levels...just different amounts.

jamaican men selling the "black bamboo" to tourist women is a common thing. many american women come here just for that reason. they will get total bfe and many of the women believe that the men really love them. but all the men really want are a few good meals, a few nights under a roof and a few dollars in their pocket. the mongers (men and women) pay money for sex while the jamaican pays sex for money.

all that being said, it is still one of my favorite places. i love it, i love most of the jamaicans i've met and have made love to some fine jamaican women. the relationships between jamaican men and jamaican women are often violent and immature. a visitor that can treat a lady with respect and kindness will find many willing women that would like to experience that feeling, even if just for a night or two. of course a few bucks, a new dress, or new tires etc is nice too.

but for the monger, jamaica will never compare to other island and latin destinations. it is both culture and scale of economy.

if only the jamaican girls had the attitudes that you find in latina girls....this would be a perfect paradise.

The Galaxy is the strip joint across from the beach scene, not too far from the Jungle (nightclub). Carryout or inhouse fun is available there. Pretty sleazy but amusing at times. XXX can get wild, and local nonpros and semi-pros do show up there late at night. There is a room at XXX for a surcharge. Don't forget the West End up on the cliffs -- great places to stay (and smoke) with more privacy and less hassles than the beach strip (but each to his own). For some hit-or-miss action, I recommend MyYard on the way up to the cliffs; often some rowdies there and the occasional gals looking for company. The taxi drivers in the town proper sometimes carry young ladies in the car with them, and will offer them up if you check them out! A scooter is great way to deal with miscellaneous travel in Negril.

I pretty much go to Negril 4 times per year. I recommend places like hidden-paradise hotel. It cost $50.00 per night, nice, clean area. and they don't trip about your guest.

Plus you are 5 minutes walking distance from all 5 of the clubs and 30 seconds away from the beach .

just about any local hotel on the strip that is NOT all inclusive is a good spot.

Thursday Night = Ladies Night Jungle ( lots of women but get there late, they only arrive after midnight)

Friday Night = Freaky Friday at the local strip clubscalled triple X.

I went to Negril back in '05 and had a good time. I stayed in the Xtabi Resort:http://www.xtabi-negril.com/welcome.htm. I payed $60/night. It's not a 4 star resort, but you won't have to worry about a fee to bring girls to your room. There's no security late at night but also there is no riff-raff around the hotel at any time, so you'll feel quite comfortable. The rooms are spacious and clean, but no t.v. and the hotel is approximately 3-4 miles from Club Jungle. As far as the women go, if all else fails at the Jungle or the beach parties, go to Triple X strip club and ask for Stichy at the bar. If he's still around, he's the man at that joint-he's a real cool local. He can hook you up with any of the females there or in the area. I hope this helps a little. Peace!

What I can suggest about hotels is that you get a copy of the Lonely Planet guide to Jamaica and peruse the listings. As you probably know, the high-end places and resorts are typically not girl friendly. But I think if you get a mid-range place you'll be ok. A good central location is the southern end of the Long Bay. This puts you near downtown (bank, ATM, pharmacy) and in the middle of the action. As for finding action, if you mean P4P, I found it easiest to just ask the taxi drivers (try to find a semi-sober one) where the girls will be that night. It seems there is a party every night in one place or another, e.g. Roots Bamboo, the Yacht Club, De Buss, etc. I would suppose non-pro action can be found too, but I'm no expert there.

As for why Jamaica isn't so popular for the WSG'ers, it's a mystery to me. It might be mainly to do with a lack of variety of women -- maybe DR or Cuba is better for variety (all shades). Personally, I adore Jamaican women. In addition, the beach in Negril was fantastic and I loved the food too. I wasn't too happy with the constant hustling, though.

Interestingly, Jamaica may be almost as much a female "monger" destination as a male one. I saw quite a few middle aged white women with a studly young Jamaican guy in tow. Well, more power to those ladies.

But it is technically illegal, more expensive than even the Dutch islands, WAY more expensive than DR. It also takes place in areas and environments that can be a bit on the seedy side or even scary. Most of the action, outside a few MPs and strip joints, is streetwalkers. Even the rare one that is good looking will still have an attitude.

However, if you can't get laid in Jamaica then you aren't trying. Other posts in this forum detail the ready availibility of local amateur talent. This is generally a much nicer and more enjoyable experience. True GFE, no money asked. (however "gifts" are usually welcome, but not needed)

In Negril you may want to try one of the Coral Seas hotels (jamaican owned and more guest friendly), there's one on the beach, off beach,and one on the cliff. There's a brothel called Mr. Brown's or something, it's near scrub a dub nightclub/carwash. This brothel looks like a run down house- best to go w/ a taxi driver who knows the place It's roughneck so be prepared. But there can be talent found there- you may want to arrange one for hotel delivery later and you can sample the staff on your visit. Many of the girls on 2 week stint from Kingston, etc.
In the night you can go to triple x gogo and some nights The Jungle nightclub is good, for freelancers. Many of the beach parties packed w/ pros. You much approach though for the most part. I was in Negril in November 2006, stayed at Samsara Resort. Overnight guests are perfectly fine there, it's a $20 (US) charge for this, but if you arrive after midnight you can usually work out a deal with the security guard (it's the same guy every night).

There is a go-go bar right across the street from Samsara, but didn't check it out since it looked too touristy. There are a total of four of these in Negril, one called XXX over by Burger King, one that is called "Rubba Dub" that is enormous and is slightly outside of town but it's a very large and really nice one, and then another one where I don't remember the name but it's towards the end of the road that runs along the beach were all the clubs/bars are.

This stuff you might already know, but posting it for the benefit of other readers, I didn't get any "take out" from the go-go places, much better to just meet girls at the beach parties. Plenty of excellent selection, they need to be a bit discreet since they can get banned by management if it is too obvious what they're doing. They'll ask for $200 per night, a very pretty one will usually stay with you for the whole night for substantially less than that.

Samsara isn't really a mongering resort, but a regular sort of down market resort but that has security and is safe.

Will try to put more detail on here since the forum has always given me useful info and this is the first time I'm giving something back.
