What are the rates please? Just for us curious people, St, Lt, TLN, How about the casa rates? Do the accept $? Or Dutch Aruba Dollars? Or How does that work? This is a country that I can travel to with one of my "novias" that she won't need a visa and maybe I can get away while she's getting a pedi and mani. Kind Regards

Rates during the evening when the bars are open are $40-50 for approx 20 minutes. Often you'll have to buy a drink, a lady drink and a key charge. The drinks are a couple bucks each and the key is $5-10. It is easy to drop over $20 before you get to the room. During the day when driving thru the alleys, everything is negotiable but usually $30-40 without as much clock watching. They are on their own time so it is all up to them. I have had a great time at my hotel from an afternoon pick-up for the price of dinner. She wanted KFC! Daytime mongering is the best in SN. TLN varies with each bar and each chica. You'll end up paying around $300 total, maybe a bit more or less.

The entire island uses US dollars, but Florins are also accepted. You get a slight break using Florins. Afternoon rates are usually 50NFL which comes to $27 US. But just about every other business on the island prefers dollars. I believe there is talk in Parliament to just make the US Dollar the official currency. There is the same talk going on in SXM on the Dutch side. The French like their Euros (but all will take USD)

#1 You can do without a car, but I still recommend one. It will allow you to explore the island a lot more. It is a very easy island to drive around. There really are not any "bad" areas so explore any neighborhood that catches your eye. You can get to SN buy bus but it takes quite a while and I am not sure how late it runs. Taxis to and from SN are expensive. $20-25 each way. A car will cost less than $30 a day. Plus you get the drive thru chica experience.

#2 Absolutely DO NOT stay in an all inclusive. Aruba has too many interesting places to eat at all price levels. Even eating a few expensive meals, it will still be cheaper than an AI. Try El Gaucho for an awesome steak, The Flying Fishbone in Saveneta for good seafood with your feet quite literally in the water (very romantic) or the little rooftop Paradilla above Club Monaco in SN. A rental car is so handy!

#3 You can usually count on finding an off beach property like Talk of the Town, Brickell Bay or the Mill for around $100 a nite. With Priceline, anything is possible. I have had the Marriott for $65 and the Holiday Inn for $50.

#4 I have had some of the best service on Aruba and I have had some of the worst. You never really know until it's over, but if you speak a little Spanish and can make a connection with a chica then anything is possible. BBBJ sometimes yes, sometimes no. I have never negotiated a different price for the service. In general I will not negotiate unless they are asking considerably above the going rates. For the amount I spend to get there, another few dollars won't hurt me and it makes the chica happy. Happy chica = happy monger.

Well, last year, you could get good deluxe hotels. Such as in the Marriott / Westin / Renaissance class, for like $70-75 a night on Priceline. It looks like the rates are going to be higher this year once the Hurricane season winds down. I can't speak to the rest, because I didn't go after being unable to find decent, reasonably priced flights from the West Coast. Actually, I had a FF award ticket booked on United, but United cancelled the flight and drastically cut back their schedule, and wouldn't re-book me within a few days on either side of my cancelled booking.

What can I say about Aruba? It is probably the safest, most friendly country that I have ever mongered in. Aruba is perfect for first-timers (who don't travel much) and old-timers (who just want ho house sex w / o the novia B / S). Aruba's red light district is centrally located (3 blocks of San Nicholas) , the price range is fairly low and doesn't deviate much, and the service providers are professionals from Colombia. The women work for three-months then return home for a period of no less than one year. The women live in the apartments / rooms that are attached are associated with the clubs they work in.

As recommended by other travelers, it is advised to spend an evening at the clubs making introductions and gathering cell phone numbers for better pricing in the afternoon (Spanish is a must). These women work seven days a week, so they can be reached by phone for service at any hour of the day; however, it is recommended that you place your calls after 12pm, because some of the these girls work until the early morning.

If traveling by car, the red light district of San Nicholas can reached by traveling south on Highway 1 and turning right at Police / Valero Gas station intersection. From there, follow the signs to Charlie's Bar (or generally the traffic in that direction). One can purchase a SIM chip for an unlocked phone at the airport upon leaving the baggage claim for $20, which includes approximately 80 minutes.

When I'm in AUA I usually take an afternoon spin through San Nich. Its hit or miss when workin the alleys. Sometimes I find something nice but my last few trips I've come up empty but then I've been lazy (and I've become very picky so YMMV) and haven't worked it very hard. You really have to spend a solid night walking through all the little 3 & 4 chica bars looking for what you like. Then you can connect the next day by cell or pre-arangement. That one was from an agency and she's long back home now.

Tonight, I started out the evening with a local shorty with a killer body, who I met on Badoo two-weeks prior to arrival. We met in downtown Orangestad and later had dinner in Palm Beach. Because she was working from her apartment and not the bars, I found her services more economical. Although, she performed the service faster than expected, I was satisfied with her results (phone number available through PM).
